Hope you have a great time in the mountains. I am going to the mountains in a couple weeks. Got a 4 day weekend, gotta get some fishing in.I hope the weather is nice for ya.

Well the harvest is done and weighed. 308 grams from the Mars hydro tsl2000 300 watts. Haven't broken a gram per watt since I had the big 4k shed.

I got my harem of strains where I want now. I picked up the wedding cake clone I have been listing after.

Now I have og 33, gelato, LA kush cake, and wedding cake.

The next round is 11 days into flower. I might take the next 2 rounds at 9 weeks, that way I can finish the 2nd crop in time for Xmas.

@pop_rocks. Thank you for the kind words brother. I let the cobra lips veg a little longer this time and I think they are loving having the extra root mass. I trimmed up the bottom third of so after I took those pics and they don't seem to be minding that a bit because when I dropped in on them this morning they looked great and those leaves were reaching up to the light.
The cloned in the pics is actually a DWC cloner. I've heard great things about aero cloners and would like to play with one sometime. But I've had good, consistent results with using plain RO water in the DWC. I haven't had to replace the discs but I do clean and soak everything with hydrogen peroxide after each use.
It does seem like porn and head shops have always been associated with one another. Of all the head shops I've been in only one here isn't selling porn vids\toys\mags ect. too. Actually there were a few stand alone head shops in Berkeley where I bought some of my favorite pieces. But other than that most of the places sell both. I know exactly what you are talking about when you mention those plastic bongs. They were so cool back in the day. If my memory serves me the popular brand was graphics I think.
I hope you guys have a great time camping this weekend! You've been working hard and deserve a break. I'm pulling for nice weather for you and I hope you get nice cool nights for a good night's sleep.

That sounds like a nice light. I really want to keep running my 4 plants from clone in my 3x3 under my 600 and add a smaller tent for experimenting with new genetics and a light like that might be perfect for what I'm thinking. My issue is when I do try something new I'm committing my flower tent for a at least 60 days and if the new genetics don't work out I loose a whole.run and could run out of buds...not cool. I think I have enough veg space to support another smaller flower tent.

This week was bad for me in the garden I somehow contracted a small amount of thrips into the garden, but was able to maintain them by having dryer humidity and taking a couple branches and leaves off that they had contaminated. Im going to give the closet a nice scrub before I throw more plants in there next run to hopefully kill whatever started that mess lol. I was very scared at first because they had come up so rapidly but I was able to keep them away... I hope. Everything smells so good the buds are barely starting to plump up. I might have pushed it with my 3 oz goal lol. Oh well I'm learning and thats fine with me as long as I get to smoke some of my own buds for once. Next run can only be better.

Thank you for the kind words and I hope in a few weeks I have a bumper crop so to speak. I've been using the same tent and light for 4years now and I have a pretty good environment figured out. I'm also growing from clone and have run this strain a few times so it's easy forms to fill the space up. That said I have a !of to learn yet and things can keep getting better.
You will get your environment, genetics, feeding schedule and all that stuff figured out as you go. My first few runs I was happy making mistakes as long as I was learning from them. I have always kept a log of everything I do to my plants and when things go south I can usually look back and see what I started doing diffrently. Doing this thread is another way to keep track of what I'm doing and a great way to get some advise and suggestions.
The way I see it a good nutrient schedule is part of "dialing in" a grow. To me it seems like the light is the "meat and potatoes" part of a plants diet and where they get the energy to grow big and strong. The nutrients are kind of like the vegetables or maybe more like the vitamin supplements. You need them in order for the plant to take full advantage of the energy in the light. This is just my theory and I might be way off but I doubt it.
I'm glad you got your pest situation delt with quick!y. I've been really lucky not to have many pest issues other than the fungus gnats that come in the soil I buy.
If you stay passionate and keep observing and learning what makes your plants happy you will be getting the harvests you are after sooner rather than later. Keep up the good work.

I spent time in the garden the last couple mornings tying my supports and trimming up the bottom third of the cobra lips plants I'm flowering. They are stacking nicely and should start fattening up in a week or so. I'll get some pics in the next couple of days and do a proper jungle update.

Its 300 watts at the wall. Smokes good. Stinks up the house. To me anything over a gram per watt is really good. Especially with a short 2 week veg.

I got 2 frosted cherry cookies, and 1 deadhead og x long bottom leaf. Repeats from the last round. I also have a big gelato, and a big og 33. 17 days into flower, nice buttons forming. Next round will be la kush cake and wedding cake. Trying to keep things humming along. I flipped this round the day i harvested. No down time for the flower cabinet.

Sounds like you had a good time camping. I have been trying to get out to the lake, but the heat has been brutal. My boss brings in bags full of different Popsicles, and Mexican ice ice creams. Kinda takes some of the sting out of triple digit temperatures.

I had a good weekend. We took the boat to the big pond (lake Michigan) on Sunday and cruised the river and harbor for the afternoon and evening. My dad likes the urban boating experience and he has been wanting to do that with us all summer.
I'm glad you had fun in the mountains! Did you get some star gazing in? How were the temps? It's been getting a little cool here at night and it kind of reminds me of thin mountain air. It's hot here again this week mid 90's today.
I'm glad your buddy is ok. Going to the hospital is never any fun. It's too bad you had to cut your trip short but shows how good of a friend you are!

Shit is crazy up here right now! Kenosha, Milwaukee and Madison are on fire and it's a huge mess. This is just the beginning from what I can tell. I really don't see a way that this ends well. Every day more and more people show up and the tension just keeps rising. Jacob Blakes mom has been on the news asking for the violence to stop and for us to start working peacefully together but the violence isn't stopping. They have the Kenosha exits blocked off at the interstate but that's not stopping people from coming to cause trouble. Now people.are bringing guns to the party and shooting each other. I'm glad I'm not a firefighter of EMT right now. We are living through some very interesting times right now and maybe sometime down the road we will be able to look back and see that all this was part of something much bigger than we think. Or maybe we will just look back and say what a waste.

/it was way more crowded than i was expecting
my friend is back home and doing well
he has been having these weird infections for the past few weeks and it turned out to be his appendix
he was back home before i even knew what hit him but i went and hung out with him sunday
the violence is getting out of control and i dont think its going to result in any real change
/ remember rodney king, the whole furguson,mo thing a few years ago, et al
of course they will smear some pap on it, create some kind of oversight groups and appoint a commissioner of social wellness and say things are getting done, ($$$) but nothing is really going to change for black people or those who live in ghettos
plus like you said, a lot of their rage is misplaced and targeting people who are actually there to help
/when that guy went nutto and starting shooting people i bet a lot of the protesters were looking for a police officer to help them

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
The whole week has been pretty good and I'm looking forward to getting on to the weekend.
To be honest I'd rather have been boating on one of the inland lakes we usually go to. They are closer and the launch isn't as crowded. Also the Milwaukee river and harbor are not places you would want to swim. The water is brown and stinks. In the river they find a lot of dead bodies and shit. They have cleaned it up a lot but it's still not very good and we like to swim. Out on lake Michigan the water is very clean but thats no place for a pontoon boat. Plus it's usually really cold water.
My dad will have a beer or two but isn't a big drinker. I think he likes the urban boating because he grew up In the city and when he had one of his sailboats he use to keep it on the harbor and we would usually cruise the river before of after going out on the lake.
Boat ownership is a double edged sword. I absolutely wouldn't own one of I didn't have lakes that were close and convenient to go to. Getting on and off the water quickly is the on!y thing that makes it worth it. I know people who don't live close to any lakes and spend all day driving to and from and waiting in line to launch their boat. That doesn't leave much time to see d on the water enjoying it. Also having the space to keep it, both in summer and to store it in winter is important. And because the boat was given to us and I can work on it myself it's not very expensive for us. If not I'd be out on having a boat for sure.
Your so right about all this violence. I've had to quit watching the news because it just brings me down. Like you said about the Rodney King riots this keeps happening and nothing changes! I think I it's more of a class war than a race war, as we've seen the poor are easy victims. Until this changes these riots are going to keep happening again and again and seemingly more and more often. There are a certainly a portion of these people that don't care what the victims and their family's want, they have their own agenda.

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
I have a feeling that any port where the ships come in and unload are similarly not good places to swim. A lot of the manufacturing plants in the city use to dump waist in the river back in the day. They have done a lot to clean it up in the last 30 years or so but it's still not a place to swim. There are great views of the city from out on the lake, especially at night when the buildings are all lit up. It's just a different type of boating.
Keeping a boat on a mooring is usually pretty cost effective. You just need a dingy or raft to get out to it when you want to take it out. Your right that boats can need a lot of maintaining but it's better than the alternative of being dead on the water. They say a boat is a hole in the water that you throw money into. Doing my own work saves a ton of cash.
It does seem that the chaos in Kenosha has subsided since the people got shot a couple days ago. I guess people are thinking twice about whether they want to put their life on the line. The protesters shouldn't have to worry about being harmed and should be allowed to demonstrate. But everybody here has guns and a lot of them are banding together to try and protect their property and the ones looting and attacking business owners are going to get blasted on. This ain't portland. I don't condone the actions of the kid that shot those rioters but it looks like things calmed down right after that. Maybe the out of town troublemakers ran for the hills.
I'm going to try to take it easy this weekend. It's going to be cooling down so we will probably take a break from boating. I'm going to the bunker bar on Sunday to see a band so I'll get a pic of the tank and attack chopper for you.
Good luck with the wisdom teeth. I got mine out when I was around 40 and it wasn't that bad.

Time for a quick update and pics. We're at the end of week 4 with these cobra lips from clone.
Last week I trimmed up the bottom third of these girls. Having grown them before I know that everything below that is larf. Here is a pic of the parts I trimmed up. It doesn't look like much but when I did it I got a pretty big pile of branches and leaves off them.I still find it difficult to cut a lot off my plants.


I vegged them for a little longer than usual this time and some of the tops got a little tall but I find that I can position them so that the tall tops are around the outside edges of the light and nothing gets burned or stressed. They are filling up the 3x3 tent really well.


A few more weeks and it's going to be harvest time again!

Hey Pop Rocks,

My kids have been back for a couple weeks. Kids are doing well.

Hope you guys are doing well. I am excited I have a a 4 day week and a 4 day weekend. Going to try to hit the lake, Thursday night. Me and the wife had a kid free night. We took a drive up to a place called Vista point. It over looks silverwood. It was nice to get out of the house. Had a nice dinner.

I smoked a tri tip today, my parents came for dinner.

I agree things are seriously getting out of hand. The violence undermines the cause. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail.
