that sounds like a great time fiddy! its good to see some places enjoying life
i hope things get back to normal here soon
its been nice here in so cal but i hear the heat is back on later this week
we are heading out camping next week so we will see what the weather is like
we are heading to the local mountains and i hope we get the tropical moisture that brings t-storms
we dident really do much this weekend
we watched some netflix and me and me and the mrs just kind of hung out around the house
her back has been giving her problems so we slept on the floor last night in the living room
we did make this sweet and sour chicken with home made sweet and sour sauce
it was super tart and really good!
hope your week just gets better from here my man!

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
I hope things get back to normal for all of us soon too brother. Puffing bowls and joints with a bunch of hippies probably isn't the most responsible behavior but it felt great anyway. The longer this social isolation stuff goes on the more I see people rebelling against it. I keep hearing rumors of huge sex parties that would surely make the local health department officials freak the fuck out! People need to mingle or they tend to go insane. I'm enjoying the local band scene but really look forward to seeing some bigger acts as soon as that starts happening again.
I hope you have a great camping trip next week. I hope the weather cooperates for you and brings you your storms. Do you get many thunderstorms? I don't remember any when I lived in the bay area. Here in the Midwest they are common and can be a pain in the ass, especially when they come with high winds and knock down powerlines, which happens multiple times a year here.
Aww man, sleeping on the floor doesn't sound like fun. Back problems really suck! I've been lucky not to have them but many of the people I know do, including my wife. I hope your Mrs feels better soon!
Sweet and sour chicken sounds great! I never order it out because the sauce is always too sweet like syrup. A nice tart version would make for a refreshing meal for sure.
Have a great day buddy!

we dont normally get them here on the coast but if you go inland they have them in the mountains, inland valley
i saw they just had some big storms in the mid west
the mrs made the sauce herself and it was mostly apple cider vinegar and brown sugar
it was a little too sour for me but the chicken came out super good
i hear you about people rebelling against the clamp down
here in san diego they had a big problem last week with large gatherings on the beach
this week they have cordoned off most of the beach parks in o'side so people cant go there and bunch up
thats freaky stuff man, the sex parties scene
we already had things like std and aids, now you could contract covid too?!?
you have a great week too brother, how is that new gear smoking ?

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
It makes sense that you would have storms in the mountains because of the the air being pushed up by the topography. Here we get them when 2 air masses collide and one pushes the other upward. We get a lot of storms here and I lost power for a few hours just last week. I don't like my plants light cycles being affected by power outages and don't like having to reset my timers but it happens a few times a year. Maybe some day I'll buy a generator.
That sauce sounds great. I'm going to try something like it sometime soon. I could see using some lemon in it for a lemon chicken dish too.I love sour foods!
It does seem like the more the authorities try to keep us apart the more we rebel against it and figure ways around what they are trying to do. It's like when I was a teenager, the best way to get me to do something was to tell me not to do it. For sure the sex party scene is full of strange shit. I use to go to a lot of rave dance party's in the 90's and a lot of them would turn into sex party's. A lot of bad shit getting passed around in that scene.
The new stuff is smoking pretty good but a little on the leafy side because of bud structure. Nothing to complain about and way better than the stuff going around here from what I'm seeing.
I'm going to see a local reggae band tonight so I'm looking g forward to that. I hope your having a great week!

Hey guys we're in the stretch now. All my plants are flowering in and out and still no boys. Ganja- Bang cancelled this year all 9 of the RIL are girls they're too big big for my lights so I have to kick three out.
Fiddy in GB did you prefer the lanky ones or shorter with tighter nodes? I'm eyeing the three shorties for a guerilla spot and thinking I'll go with the tallest and fattest stems indoors

They just grew so fast and I didn't top early enough my screen should be in tonight and I'll get pix up. The stems break easily so I need it to hopefully carry some weight.
I had to add a new fan and filter to my veg room The clones can be smelled outside. All the plants cloned well and I'll pot up tonight. Got 6 I really like and I don't see much difference at all in them. Looks like a pack of fems so many alike.:groupwave:

Good afternoon Rodehazrd.
I actually had to go back a couple years here in this thread to see how I found my GB keeper. I had four plants that I presexed and cloned for that run. After a coup!e weeks in the flower tent I found that 3 of them were actually males, not intersex but full on males. I had screwed up presexing them and had just the one lady left from that 1\2 pack of seeds. Makes me wonder if I accidentally culled some lady's and also makes me wonder how my keeper would stack up against what I might find in another pack. I know the GB line has been worked a lot since the bx1f1 I got and I'm close to ordering up some new gear to play with. I want to try the latest version of GB and some of that RIL you are running.
My GB is on the lanky side and needs a lot of support once flowers develop. She would be really easy to weave into a scrog net.
I'm in the same boat as you are with my cobra lips going into week 3 and stretching a couple inches a day now. I'm glad that I'm near the end because of be out of head room soon.
I'm glad things are going so well in your garden and I hope your having a great week brother!

Thank Tom Hill, he is the one who put me on the math to make the RIL. Hope he is doing well... Mia for many years. I'm just glad so many have found enjoyment from the works. You guys are killing it.

happening fellas, hope everyone is having a great week
almost the weekend and the heat is on here in socal
plus we have the tropical moisture flowing through and its making for some great sunsets
cant wait to stop by my friends house and check out how the girls are doing

thats great rhode that you are having so many girls and it sounds like your garden is really taking off both indoors and outside
that sounds like some good breeding went into that pack if the plants from a seed pack come out looking so homogeneous
i had bad luck with the male plants this year but thats jsut how things go

hope you are heading into another great weekend f'nut
my sister has a back up generator for her place
we once looked into getting one of those back up power supplies, they were like big panels you put up
but in the end they were just too much money for any benefit we would have gotten
maybe if you went full on soalr and added them when you installed the panels it would work out better
ive been to a few races but was more the house party kind of guy
/you know, where someone host a keg party at their house usually for like $5 a head
but those get out of control too sometimes
the mrs made this sauce last night that you would like
it was garlic, oil, and some seasonings that she whipped in the blender until it was super creamy
it has some lemon in it too and was great with falafel
/i bet it would also go good over chicken or fish too
have a great weekend my man and if you get out on the boat try and get us some pics

i remember tom hill
it seems like a lot of great members have been lost over the years
but new ones sign up all the time and it keep the community moving
a lot has changed over the years and its going to be fun seeing where things are going from here

Greetings friends.
Happy friday! I hope y'all are feeling great and your week is finishing strong. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend and probably some live music tomorrow evening. We're due for a jungle update but I've been too busy to get pics at lights off so it will have to wait until next week.

@pop_rocks. Some of those back up generators are pretty nice. My mom's house has one that turns on automatically if they loose power and it runs on natural gas so you never have to fill the tank.
House party's or keggers as we use to call them were huge when I was in high school and college. As soon as the weather would start to get cold here every Friday and Saturday night all you needed to know was where the party was at! lots of crazy shit would go down but I guess that's to be expected with a bunch of drunk teenagers and into the early 20's. My first year of high school we discovered that a local pharmacy kept their tanks of nitrous oxide in a shed out back. The shed had a wooden door and we could unscrew the hinges an get in and take whole tanks without damaging anything. I saw a lot of people hitting the nitrous while standing up and many times I saw them pass out and fall down like they got shot or something. More than once I saw noses broken and teeth knocked loose from those falls.
That sauce your Mrs made sounds delicious. I love an emulsion with fat and usually an acidic component like lemon juice or vinigar. My spedini recipe uses a 50\50 olive oil\lemon juice for a marinade and I use something similar for chicken kababs. Now I'm craving something like that. I bbq'd a pork butt overnight last night for lunch today for some of my coworkers and I and it turned out really good but I ate too much and need a nap LOL.
I hope.you have a great weekend brother!

It's the front shoulder, it has the blade bone in it some call it a Boston butt. Smoke it for an hour and a half per pound at 225 and it will fall apart.

Hey guys I hope everybody's having a good week! I've been incredibly busy with life these past few weeks so I've been just taking care of the plants and snapping a few pics here and there. Heres a few bud shots from week 6.

I was reading back in the posts someone was talking about an Ice Cream Cake cross, I love ice cream cake. I've had live resin from the dispensaries out here and it tastes amazing and has just as good effects. I picked up probably 10-12 new strains of seeds since ive been gone. My collection is to the point where I don't know if im even going to be able to grow everything. thats okay for me though id rather have what I want than regret it down the road, could maybe even make a couple bucks off of them. Hope everybody doesn't mind my little inconsistent bursts of activity but I try to fit ic into my life as much as I can.

you cant go wrong with this cut
how are you enjoying the heat thse past few days?
/last night my friend had rolling blackouts during the hottest day of the year
//gotta love cali

yeah fiddy! i was all into keggers when i was young
it was great and we used to make the fliers on the photocopy machines at school
/we would literally cut and past graphics onto a piece of paper and then photo copy it to make the fliers
nitrous is a gas man!
we used to get poppers" at the sex store! a place called "f-street bookstore"
its been around san diego for ever and they would sell porno and whippets
that was super nice of you to share a lunch with your co workers
before covid i loved to treat my assistant at work
/nothing says good job better than a good breakfast sandwich or left over bbq
now there are very specific rules about what you can and can not share
rule #1: no home made foods
sucks but this is the new normal i guess

hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying the summer!

Hey Pop Rocks,

It's been brutal. 430 am its 84 in the warehouse. Swamp ass is real.

Caritas is bomb. Most people deep fry the pork for Caritas, but smoking is my favorite cooking method.

I still haven't tried a brisket on the trager, haven't been that ambitious.

We got a blackout warning yesterday. Didn't lose power that God. I have been drying the latest harvest this last week, ac has been working overtime. Should be ready to trim tonight. I took a couple samples, pretty happy with those. Got the next round 1 week into flower.

way to persevere in spite of the heat p'man
another reason i like to shut down the lights during the summer is a rolling blackout would mess with your light schedule
thats great that the power outages skipped your area, my friend wasnt that lucky
i hope the trimming goes well and cant wait to hear how your new stuff smokes
do you think this is something you will grow out again?
i dont like to fry my carnitas but i will cook it on the grill/ smoke it and then finish it in the oven
the mrs makes this awesome pork in her insta-pot thing too and we like to put that under the broiler to finish it off; nice juicy pork meat with that crunch
hope you and the fam are all doing well my man

Greetings friends!
I hope everyone is having a great start to your weeks. I had the day off yesterday so my week started off the best way possable.

@Rodehazrd. That girl is looking like one he'll of a bush there. Beautiful! As others have commented a butt is another word for a pork shoulder, in fact it's more common to calI it a butt here than it it to call it a shoulder. Anyway it's a front shoulder and the rear is ham. Here is a pic of my GB mom's to give you an idea of how lanky she is. She goes a few inches between nodes.

@DoloDankness. Looking good brother! Being busy is usually a good problem in my book, I don't do well when I've got too much time on my hands. Keep stocking up on those seeds man! Keep them sealed from moisture and light and in the fridge and they will be good for years.

@pop_rocks. Keggers were a great time for sure. Making flyers at school is a great idea and constructive use of school property and time. We were usually underage and had to keep them on the down low. Usually they were at a friend's house who's patients were away and if they found out we would be out of luck. I sure did love that nitrous back in the day! Having an almost unlimited supply for that stretch of time was almost dangerous. I've had my share of those little cartridges too. That's funny you could get them at the porn shop here as well. It must be a universal thing that porn shops sell pipes and nitrous in all states!
Your so right that sharing food with co-workers is a great way to say thank you and good job. It's too bad your not able to bring treats to work right now and hopefully that will change soon. I did a pork butt in the oven with root veggies a couple weeks back that was great as well but smoked is my favorite!

@Packerfan. Man that heat sounds brutal! It's been a fairly hot summer here with plenty of days in the 90's but not like you get out there. I'm with you on the deliciousness of carnitas. It's one of my favorites.
You will have to try a brisket one of these days. I haven't cooked one in a while either because prices are outrageous the last few months.

Update and pics.
It's been a few weeks so let's get a look at what we've got growing in the jungle. My next run of cobra lips are just finished with the stretch at the end of week 3 and not a day too soon as my light is about maxed out. They are filling g out the 3x3 really well this run. This should be a good yield on this run.

A coup!e days ago I took cuts of my gorilla bubble for my next run after the CL's are finished. It's been a few months since I ran the GB and I'm looking forward to filling up some jars with tasty nugs. The veg tent has plenty of space for additions, even though I'm keeping a backup for my CL and GB moms. I'm going to start some lemon wookie seeds soon but won't be flowering them until sometime next year after I get them sexed and cloned.
