Exploring lunarcy phases with Apollo 11

Everything, absolutely everything here looks amazing. Deep bow to the great sativa master! Those Tigers are really something. About A13, didn't see any color on specimens a friend grew neither, but it sure was some killer smoke. A bit heavier than 11, tasted like frozen strawberries and hash, potent. At least as good an aphrodisiac as A11, which is to say, herbal viagra / speed combo :D

Forgot my A11 cuts when I was trying to figure out what's wrong with new drip feed setup and they died... and eerily, the guy I got them, his A11's also experienced the same fate at the same time, so no moon mission going on here now or anytime soon. Karma can be a bitch!

Far from a Master, Ruosk, but thanks anyway! :thank you:

Bummer about your cuts. Hopefully Apollo will find it's way to you again.

Bi0, don't quite get your question. All these Flying Tigers were made in '09 using two Apollo males. All these plants came from the same seed mom Golden Tiger.

Here's my FLT C-99 @ 45 days

Nice,

Sorry for the confusion. I thought the Flying Tigers were from seed pack that you were growing now - I didn't realize you already bred them to Apollo 11.

I really like the growth structure on those. And especially after smoking the ATrip 4 - I highly appreciate haze crossed to Apollo. Not only does it do wonders for the taste - but it adds a cerebral head-space to the Apollo.

The A-Trip #4 is one of my favorite go to smokes atm - little nug at a time. Mixing the A11 #6 and #10 is wonderful - a great morning smoke. The #6 adds a little more headspace to the #10 - but the #10 by itself is pure focused, motivational goodness.

Did I mention i love the flavor of the Atrip #4 =P

I have 2 Flying Tigers in flower now, they grew too fast for my veg room...In about 3 days I'm taking down a plant in between my vert lamps and it'll make a great space for the FT's.These are going to be big ones, I think they're both #12.:)

My east coast boyz in the house! :D It's nice to make friends w/ your neighbors.
Chaco, you got two #1's and one #12, haha!

The Magic Haze #1 has done his job and I moved the pollen recipients into the tent today.
Here's Apollo Trip #4, along with Apollo Trip #5.

AT#5 was snuffed when push came to shove in the 1st rd, so we'll see another one here.

Also getting the Magic Haze treatment, here's A11-GPC and A11 #6

The A11 #6 went in late, after I killed off the AT male and made the move to the haze. (It's a Nev Haze pheno)
The other 3 are 46 days in and just got knocked up, so it'll be a while w/ those. I don't care what condition the bud's in, I want those seeds! GOLD!

Here's a shot of the A11-GPC & A11 #6 knocked up by the Flying Tiger boys.

Just wanted to show how much more branchier my Apollo is to the GPC.
I know a few of you out there are wanting my run-down of the GPC smoke. I've yet to smoke it, it's only been in jars a few wks.
Be forewarned tho, I'm no canna-seur.
I'm envious that Bi0 can make distinctions between the #6 & #10. I can tell it's Apollo, that's good enough.
When I grew out the A11 & Trip in '09, I couldn't tell 'em apart.
I've only been smoking the Trip #3, (the 1st one I took) and it's def trippy to me!
I'm going to roll up a J of the AT #4 and A11-GPC this weekend and suss them out.

:tiphat:

I did indeed roll a J of the A11-GPC yesterday, and I'm happy to report it passed w/ flying colors. :D
No doubt further time in the jars is needed, her flavor is still developing.
While growing, the primary odor was pine, with a peppery undertone.
Now the peppery aspect has come to the fore, as the pine fragerance recedes. The lemon is there in the background, developing. It's there in the exhale.
The head is a bit zoomier, speedier, than my own A11 genetics, but the clarity is there with a capital C! No doubt about it!
It does grab you in the chest a bit, not 'noidy or full of apprehension, just let's you know it's power, an all-encompassing awareness.

I've never smoked C-99 straight up, and this is close to how I imagined the differences between A11 and C99 would be.
I really look forward to having the FLT C-99 to compare.

1st impressions, I'm very happy!

I smoked the #2/3 mix this morning.Heavy on the taste, speedy on the stone kinda like that Durban cross, makes ya' want go skateboarding and get stupid and I just might do that. Its def a sport enhancement buzz, great chairlift pot, superb for the skate pool, doing wreckless things etc....:)

Ya the #2/#3 mix is great - but there is something extremely special about the Atrip #4. Love the taste, especially that sweet hazey aftertaste that is to die for. The Atrip 4 really gets my mind running, it's one of those strains you smoke before bed and end up laying around for an hour thinking.

Although I can fall asleep on it - definitely a get up and do something productive strain with a trippier and headier quality than the A11 #6 and A11 #10.

Way to go man! :respect:

I'm a huge fan of Apollos, I grew a few crops of Dutch Passion's Apollo years ago. That plant produced big buds and was very easy to grow, no problems with the nutrients, very generous plant.
The smoke was a creeper if I remember correctly, you could finish a long J and go to another task, and suddenly it hit and just lifted your face to an idioitic smile cuz everything felt so awesome.
I haven't had another strain feel so positively uplifting and energetic without the paranoia. The only downside to this strain was the very cloudy next-morning hangover.

Here's a few shots from back then, 2007 I believe. Miss you Apollo girls. :comfort:

Great photos Suspect.

I didn't know Dutch Passion released Apollo's back in the day - interesting... I just knew about the Brothers Grimm, Spice Brothers, Rez and newer ones like Joey Seed's A11 F2's. Looks like a great yielder. Also a lot of the apollo's I've tried: The GPC, A11 #6 and #10, Spice Brothers and Joey Weeds A11 F2's never left me hung over the next day.

The only strain that really gave me a weed hangover (other than concentrates) is Paradise Seeds - Nebula - back in college. After laying down to go to sleep with mild closed eye visuals - I woke up in the morning still high as shit.

Ahh he finally rolls up some of the GPC :bigeye:!

A speedier A11 you say? But all the usual characteristics? Sounds like something to add to any Apollo enthusiast's stable :D!

But still... you make me wait longer to hear about the taste! lol

Man do I wish you and me could toke some Apollo up one day. Keep it up Highlighter :tiphat:.

Suspect, thx for posting those!
I was unaware of DP doing a straight A11 too, but given the Grimm Bros. did their breeding in that part of the world, not too surprised.

I def think A11 has a ceiling, too much and things get muddy, def possesses a "comedown" factor for me when I overdue it and the last initial buzz wears down.
Having various phenos & crosses to sample helps alleviate that problem. :D
Just my subjective :2cents:

Caregiver, thx for following along.
Sure would be fun to get together w/ my fellow Apollo fanatics and sample all things Apollo. Perhaps in the not too distant future there'll be Canna Conventions in Vegas, where various strain fanatics could get together.

Things here are going as scheduled, slowing down for summer.
I shut down the cloner wks ago.
Earlier in the wk. I killed off the C99 male who knocked up a couple of A11's, and cleaned up the rm. and set it up again to veg.
Today I upcanned a few future pollen recipients, along with 13 F13 x A11 plants.
I have 8 confirmed females still in cups under the T5's, that will get farmed out to friends for OD.
There are a few "undecided's" in what I upcanned today, but most of the F13's here are male.

I'm blown away by the 3 'Flying Tiger's' that are under my LED.
I'm totally obsessed w/ LED's now!
Here's FT #1, slowing down @ day 60.

Think she'll be done by/before 70 days.

Here's #5 @ 55 days

Her and the FT #14 are just blowing up!

My Flying Tigers are in the "honey hole" of the garden between two verts with loads of overhead. They drink a bunch and are moving out bigtime in a 3gal coco/rock mix...I have a great Apollo cut going, can't remember the name anymore but its kicking some asses over in my cooltube station.I do enjoy the smoke and I'm holding a couple jars, the 2/3 and some 4.I can certainly see why its a such a favorite. The tops on the cutting version are just coming into the light of the upper vert 600, she needs to stretch about 4 more inches....:blowbubbles:

Chacho,

The Atrip's are definitely keepers - I'm with you 100% on those =]

I'm pretty sure the Apollo cut you are running right now is the GPC pheno (shown above by HL). If you give her the proper veg time, she will branch like crazy.

She will definitely gain some height in the stretch period.

I want to get breeding sometime soon. Possibly an A-trip redux? Too many options though, and I'm not the most decisive person in the world :D!
