ECSDxSSSDH test

Alright, alright... I suck.... I woke up late and didn't have time for any pics...

I will take some tonight since the same thing will probably happen tomorrow morning...

I put the fastest rooting clone of ECSDxSSSDH pheno 2 into flower last night, 8/6 and it is now getting its first 12 hours of darkness...

So how long of a flowering time are we expecting on these? 11+ weeks? Sounds like we can expect a nice Halloween harvest... perfect amount of time for it to cure for my Birthday... lol

Anway The pheno "1" clones are not rooting NEARLY as vigorously... it is pretty clear to me pheno 2 will be the keeper... but we have to see the flowers to be sure!

I have a pheno 2 clone right behind the one that was put into flower and it is SO vigorous I almost feel like I need to flower it out as well because I have soo many back up clones for mothers... pretty much every clone I took ended up rooting in the rapid rooters... well of this strain... lol

Hopefully we can get a pheno 1 clone rooting nicely and transplanted into a bigger container and start flowering her out within the next 2-3 weeks! I don't want it to be too far behind the others...

Ok Peace out, pics will be taken tonight and uploaded either late tonight or tomorrow morning. Promise...

hi dank frank
nice one brother, means alot coming from you as you know your herbs
nothing beats the sssdh for me, its my favourite weed hands down
flavours and potent , it has everything
not that easy to grow if you dont work the stretch in
but when dialed she is a
yielder
potent
and tasty
ticks all boxes for me

hey soursmoker
coming along nicely
so let the show begin

peace

thanks bro.

do you have a name for this strain yet? I have just been shortening it to ECSDH personally just cuz writing it out everytime tends to get annoying and I know what it means... but I understand wanting to call if by its full name so nothing gets confused as it often does with strains these days...

shoot me a PM if ya got a second bro...

Ok not the best pics but figured an update was long over due...

The first clone to go into flower is not pictured here but it is looking great...

So far pheno "#2" is the winner... quicker rooting, more vigorous in general...

but the flowers will be the final decision because I have multiple backup clones of each... more of 2 though due to how well it roots...

Anyway...

First Pheno 1, day 1 of flower today... flipped at 8.5", same height as the #2 clones were flipped... didn't get as much time to make a nice root system yet though... only a few days of veg in the bigger container before it got flipped...

and now the 2nd pheno... I have 2 clones of this pheno in flower and one of #1.... this is the most recently flipped pheno, only 2-3 days into flower... the pheno that was flipped on 8/7 that was pictured above in a previous post has already stretched quite a bit...

Sorry for the horrible pictures...

Proper update coming soon...
Peace :joint:

lol not the best update... I will do a proper one this weekend or sooner...

yes glad I got clones rooted as well...

I have 2 "#2" and 1 "#1" pheno in flower...

And in veg:

6 "#2" clones, 3 larger and 3 small

5 "#1" clones, all small/medium size

I can't stop saying it but the "#2" has much more vigour from clone, they were about equal as seed plants...

I think I will be filling up the cab with strictly these, next round if they perform as I expect.... Hopefully they form nice flowers!

They will perform as you let them and give them the right conditions, its sometimes a little bit tricky, but at last you will
get so much from her. Here I have a picture from an older run with a reg. SSSDH from Ojd, she was about 60 days in flower.
I'm sorry about the light, but the buds are shown good and I like to have a look at them, when I grow some sssdh, just as
motivation and because it was a very good run with a nice harvest. I hope you like them, that's what is waiting for you...

Of course they will do their best and when you are not satiesfied with your harvest, you can do it again,
I see you have taken clones, very good, what should happen, its a plant, where you must dial up your
inventory and get a feeling for her, but you have time to make it better, every time and you will, I'm sure...

Thanks so much for the kind words Jochen.

OJD, no update today.. will be coming tomorrow... but do you think this strain would be better suited towards a vert grow or a Scrog?

After this current cycle, I have one more flower run in my vert cab... I was thinking of turning my veg into a SCROG flower room as well to maximize my space... and since I won't be needing anymore veg, it will be perfect..

Since I have more clones of this strain than any other strain in my garden at the moment... it will deff be the star of the show in atleast one if not both of the rooms... I just can't decide...

Any input is appreciated..

no SOG just vert and scrog...

prob will top and train to deal with stretch... but stretch is kind of needed for vert...

I will see how my pheno's stretch on this run and go from there...

thinking 4 large plants in the vert room and 2 in the scrog cab...

still have to figure out which pheno is best but I think it will be #2...

do you thinking topping or LST would be better for the scrog plants?

Ok so proper update as promised...

We have plants at all different ages of flower...

First up we have the first plant to go into flowering... pheno 2... showed the most vigour during rooting... and continues to shine...

around 19-20 days since flipped into 12/12

flipped at 8.5" and has so far stretched to 21" and doesn't look like it will be slowing down too soon... I think this is my keeper for sure but we will see....

now we have a younger representation of the same pheno as above...

flipped at same height 8.5".. on 8/17 so it is 9 days into 12/12..

she was thirsty but you can tell she didn't want to slow down... I gave her a nice drink this morning though...

and now we have pheno 1... so far she is the underdog but she is only 6 days into 12/12 so she has time to show us what she is made of... honestly I am hoping not much though due to how much worse she roots than #2... not bad... its just #2 is much better... lol

And to finish it off we have a group picture...

Ok another update... sorry for anyone who can't see my pics.. had to make my albums private due to recent events... but I will not bail on this test... OJD you can still see the pics right? Just want to make sure...

Here are the girls side by side... the shorty is the #1 pheno and the other 2 are the #2 pheno... funny thing is the one #2 pheno is 1-2 weeks behind the other one but you can barely tell... I guess the more mature one has stopped stretching...

The #1 pheno is only a few days behind the young #2 pheno so I guess this pheno just doesnt have as much stretch

Here is a shot of the mature #2 pheno... one day shy of 4 weeks into flower...

I think this plant may have gotten too close to the bare bulbs 'hot zone'

And finally here is a pic of the whole room...

I can only hope, you will find a better way, how long do you think to keep your albums private?!

mate if you are doing test grows for someone, it's rather bad form to keep the pictures hidden from people.

I understand but it is also bad when the owner of a weed forum gets arrested... I just don't want it viewable to public... guests... people who are not even members here or just signed up...

I will add you so you can see bro but I hope you understand my concern ...

I could have just deleted my account and ditched the test altogether and said fuck it... I am being nice by staying and making the album 'private' however private that may be...

sorry for any over reaction but I think it makes sense...

We just need an option where it is now viewable by anyone who has not been a member for more than a certain amount of time or has a certain amount of posts...

I will talk to OJD...
