Cuts in MA

Retail doesn't start in MA until Jan 2018. I don't think that you're going to find much without medical until then.
*You must be 18+ to attend NECANN. ID is required. NO smoking, vaping, dabbing, etc. ANYWHERE at the Hynes Convention Center. PLEASE be respectful of Massachusetts laws regarding cannabis use/consumption – violators will be ejected without refund.

Hey Medfinder
What kind of vendors speakers and others are going to be there?
Just wondering

Definitely going.

It's a bit strange that pot is legal here and there will be a cannabis convention without having any cannabis. What the hell? WTF? Where's the weed? They're still doing the "Oh no - That's bad" thing on us.

Several of the vendors on the list don't even have a working website and I don't see anything from what will be, or want to be legal vendors / growers. I guess all that has to be done on the down low so the corruption isn't too obvious. :moon:

No need to apologize. You're right. I'm a med card holder and never went to a dispensary. Not even out of curiosity. After calling Brockton and finding that they had only one variety that was $400 / zip and they knew nothing about it, I was done. Legal retail will likely be the same. Chumps only.

No need to apologize for a rant, star~crash. Legalization sounded dope and now we have it and it's looking whack, especially with all the delays which seem to be lawmakers and venture capitalists taking their time to figure how to make the most money off it. I just hope the medical program remains in the current state it is!

agree...it's already quite obvious these legalization laws that MPP and DPA are passing around the country are pieces of shit. I was part of "Bay State Repeal" that had a different vision for Mass. - cannabis farmers markets, no limits on anything (like alcohol), no extra tax or fees, etc. Needing $1 or $2 million to start a business growing or selling flowers isn't "legal" and it's definitely not freedom. It's more like feudal servitude to the elite rich families.

The only good thing about our current law is 12 plants are legal at home. Everything else will be set up to keep the price at $300-400 an ounce so Pharma is happy. The corrupt state won't be happy until they get 50% of gross revenue in tax thievery, like they do with the lottery and casinos. In Mass. the political leaders are getting paid cash out of the illegal rackets as well, so that's another reason why they want high taxes, so their mafia friends can keep selling Mexican schwag to college kids for $100/oz.

But remember one thing - the corrupt State House themselves admitted 885,000 people bought weed on the black market in Mass. in 2015 alone. That's almost 1/6th of the population. People in Mass. have never complied with the cannabis laws in the past, of course they're not going to comply with whatever bullshit the sleazy government cooks up now.

Yeah I was hoping for the Bay State Repeal, but what they fell short of a couple thousand signatures right?

I have been to several of these events. I go to meet other cool people to be honest with you.
The exhibits are nice, ocassionally you see or learn something new from a vendor.

I had breakfast with Jorge Cervantes in Denver.
We were in same line. That alone was worth flying out there. What a crazy man.

The denver cup in '15 was a shit show. Let in way too many people. It was uncomfortably packed.
But I got some killer seeds.

My expectations are to meet most of my old friends from UMass Amherst from back in the 80's.

I'd be pretty happy if the price stayed at 300-400. It's the price dropping thing I have a problem with.

Yeah, allowing hobby growing is far more important to me then having stores selling pot. Hell, if they were giving it away I'd still grow.
