They get flipped next weekend...they will be transplanted to 3gal bags and put under 1k....although, in all reality, they could probably go to flower now. However, I'm on a scheduled rotation. I don't expect them to get TOO much taller. Maybe another 3" - once they get close to the bulb and heat gets higher, it sort of slows them down naturally. By default, the heat will slow the tops and the extra time will allow the secondary growth to catch up where temperatures are still a touch cooler and make a more even canopy on each plant...
Had 8 females out of 11 plants...no complaints there!!!
All plants are about 25" tall with two being a bit taller at about 27" ... and were just transplanted from 1 gal up to 3 gal after the picture was taken...
Here are a few ladies @, 20 days of flower. A bit harder to get pics of them where they are now. I'll update on a weekly basis again here shortly when things get more interesting in flower...
But so you can get the idea - they stacked really well. Going to have some nice long colas on these girls. I pruned almost all the lower bud sites on them - letting them focus most their energy to the mains - I think most OG genetics tend to grow better flowers this way...
You know Hammerhead - I've got my eye on a one already. I didn't take cuts of any of these, but I did leave on very lowest budsites possible in case I found one I wanted to reveg. Seemed the best way to go about it - only sooo much room round these parts.
I don't see finding a true keeper in these seeds being that hard at all from the looks of them...
I can say at 3wks of flower none of my 8 girls show any intersex traits...
Although, there are several in the lot that are what I'd consider above average frost for their age...
A part of me is wondering, if they would all be as frosty as this one, as that particular plant is directly under the lights, the others off to the side a touch, but I think not, it is just a super frosty gal.
Props to Karma Genetics - Brotherhood OG seems to be a real winner thus far...
I agree 100% Karma. One of the biggest reasons I got into organic farming was for the purpose of more accurate pheno selections...
If we constantly force feed our plants, we are seeing the expressions given under steroids, essentially, when dealing with certain chem ferts that "boost" flavor or production or resin, etc.
The reality is, if you want the best plants possible, you have to be willing to allow the plants to dictate their diet. This effectively allows for more accurate an expression to be viewed - and for better keepers to be selected along the way, as you are truly selecting for the plants actual, unaltered performance...
Only thing that I'm worried about with these plants, if figuring out which ones to run again. There is 3 or 4 in the group that are looking truly worth a second run and 2 in particular that have me beyond eager to puff...
Great work on these Karma! The smells are starting to really intensify now.
We just passed the 4wk mark...things will start getting really interesting now, as the differences in flower structure and resin quality really start to become apparent.
Stay tuned folks. I'll prepare a big photo update on these a the end of this week, ie 5 full weeks of flower...
But for now - here is a picture of the same plant at a full 4 wks:
