The smell on that #7 - where to begin...hahaha. It is really complex first of all. And I think it can be split into three more distinctive layers, maybe...
1. cherry - like chapstick
2. melon...but not. Honeydew? Mango? Cantaloupe? Honeysuckle? But melon of some sort.
3. very slight undertones of classic skunk funk canna
I'd not say it smells like an OG by any means. But she doesn't really smell like straight up Happy Brother - which many of the group, do have her smell. She is certainly a hybrid combo - but considering she is the tallest of the group in what is a predominantly indica hybrid says much about her expression.
It is hard to pick just one like you I went with the plant that had the most unique smells. She also had a decent yield....Quality over quantity.. if I get both thats even better lol..
This was my keeper pheno.. Im running here again now in flower. I have 1 more cut in veg she will get a very long veg so I will have some of this I can keep for myself lol..
Yeah, none of mine came out with that profound of an OG expression, I don't believe...she's a real pretty plant!! Looking forward to seeing the second round of her.
My #8 plants looks like pictures I saw from 3rd and yourself, Hammer (not that particular one) - I'll get more pics of it eventually. But it has a real odd nugget structure...
And I promise it isn't the munchies talking...hahahaha
I know I mentioned earlier that it was like gummi worms or something along those lines...but tonight I placed the smell in my memory bank...it finally clicked.
#8 - This plant is the one that reminds me of flowers I've seen in the other testers threads. She is not as candy sweet - has that more true Happy Brother spice / mango / melon - with a more aggressive earthy OG funk edge.
Nugs are not quite as full as the #7 - but maybe just as weighty. Has a very unusual flower structure. Almost kind of blocky (?)...
And the #4...this one will be run again.
There are packs of these on Seedbay still I think...some really nice plants.
and more of plant #7 @ 56 days - just can't get enough of her!
GDK - I agree with you fully! Just a bit more weighty buds and some extra frost. I'd say that the biker kush male, does just that - allows a mothers traits through and adds a bit of frost and yield...or the Happy Brother just seems to be a dominant plant in hybrids. One or the other...maybe both. lol
plant #4 is the odd ball out of the entire group...and kind of why I want to run it again.
I'd still think that plant 6 and 8 have the most happy brother type of flower structure...I could be wrong though...
Every plant, seems to have it's match / partner...when I take harvest shots I'll show this.
But 4 has a much more indica hybrid structure to it. It's smells are really balanced between other plants...it just shows the middle ground really well I think. But it is a very dense, frosty plant with great structure and resin output. I expect her to smoke differently than the rest of the group as well...but time will tell.
Either way, I intend to run 4 and 7 a second time...not sure on the others yet.
