I'll be updating tonight. I'm about day 16 of 12/12 and the buds are starting to form.
Since I'll be doing a test grow for IC, I've been getting a bit of extra space arranged for seeds/vegging; those plants will go in the flower unit when the current ones are harvested.
Nite Tiger, why don't you want to let your mom know she's always been right?
Just because people go out and make crop circles doesnt mean ufo's dont make them. I once saw a ufo skimming a field moving crazily back and forth. It could have made a crop image if it had done that over a crop. I have no idea what they are doing when they do it but they do.
I even told my parents and sister the day the alien had telepathy with me and they believed me because I didnt make up false stories as a kid and later I had a memory lapse. They say they asked me the next day and I didnt recall the conversation of the experience at all. This is why they believed me and it was before anyone knew about memory problems after experiences with aliens. I guess it all came back to me later given the story I had told my family and I know it was true.
I should come into this forum more often but not to discuss aliens.
If anyone wishes to discuss them the tokers den would probably be best. For now forgive me but know that I believe what I say. I dont make up shit. BOG
yea ambre intrested in your MMM since there's been a little debate about these beans love to see what you come up with. since i'm starting some in 5 -6 weeks just in time for you to finish yours.hehe
Bad Wizard - I noticed something interesting about the MMMs these last few days. I have clones rooting under 16/8 lighting and they are flowering! I wonder if they are a variety with an auto-flowering variety in the genetic background.
These may be sativa or at least part sativa since they are stretching more than the rest of the plants; they make take longer to finish. If they take too long, I'll have to harvest them early to make room for the next crop since I'll be doing a test grow. They are forming buds quicker than the Lifesavers are.
I have one of my MMM's flowering too????shes probably 3 weeks old under floros ,24 hrs on.Its the only MMM that has done this for me. Ive finished 2 and started 3 more.
I find it odd that neither of my original seed plants are flowering (other than preflowers), but all of the clones from both plants have flowered. The first set under 18/6 lighting and the second set under 16/8 lighting.
I wonder if it might have something to do with light intensity. The original plants are under a canopy with eight 25-30 watt lights and the clones were under only 20-30 watts of light total. The lights over the clones are also much further away from the plants, so the amount of light reaching the plants is even lower.
Cloner 3: 460 ppm, pH 6.0. Added a bit of water & 3 drops pH down; pH 5.5 after
MMM1 and MMM2 clones are both flowering in Cloner 3 under 16/8 lighting!
Here is a pic of the thermometers I have in the flowering garden. The big one laying down is to have a humidity meter inside - the temp reading at that level isn't useful information. The arrow is pointing at the remote probe for the digital thermometer I use - the remote probe is at canopy level and the main thermometer is mounted outside the garden so I can monitor room & garden temps without having to open the garden. It also stores high and low temps for both locations.
I still have the kitty on my drive, but I like the pun of the new "Plant Manager" design. I saw this on a cap in a catalog and it just tickled my funny bone.
I see you've also changed your avatar; I also noticed a couple others (m.steelers & captain jack) who changed theirs, too.
The plants are filling in nicely; I'm still trying to decide if I need to put a SCROG screen in or just let them grow with the LST I've been doing so far. I moved the "spare" clones into the larger rubbermaid garden I finished building so they have room to stretch out some more without getting burned on the lights. Even if I don't finish the spares out to maturity, it will allow me to work the bugs out of the system before the next round.
I got the Johnny Blaze seeds for my test grow today, so I'm starting a new grow thread in the Legends Test Grow forum - here's a link:
I also put four Cinderella 99 (C99) x Apollo 11 (A11) seeds in to germinate at the same time. As long as I'm growing stretchy sativa-types, I may as well do it right!
Hello Ambre
Very nice journal, well done and informative. Those are some tasty genetics you have there. There's just something about BOG's stuff. The LifeSaver is supposed to be a good Med strain. I'm looking forward to getting some of that put in soon myself.
The MagicalMysteryMix is killer in my opinion. I've given away two so far, and actually had one given to me. I'm not usually into surprises when it comes to seeds, but for Sagarmatha's strains....I'll gladly kick back and see if I get lucky.
Good luck flowering those kiddies out. I'll be around to see how they finish up.
Flower Res: Changed res out tonight. 24 gallons of fresh RO water; nutes 0G/8M/16B (GH Flora series, ml/US gallon); H2O2; 1180ppm, pH 5.3, 68F. Room high 68, garden high 73
These two cloners have the extra clones I started on 12/12 the same day the main flowering garden was switched to 12/12:
Cloner 1: 880ppm. Added 2.75c water; 690ppm, pH 5.6.
Cloner 2: 980ppm. Added 1.5c water; 840ppm, pH 5.7.
Temp in container - high 77, low 64
This cloner has the cuttings that will be used to replace the current mother plants, which are outgrowing their space even with being cut back.
Cloner 3: 380ppm. Added nutes 0/1.5/3: 610ppm, pH 5.7
10-24 (fl 18. v 66)
I turned the blower in the flowering garden down to low since it's cooled off a lot. Added an aquarium heater to the res since the temp had dropped down to 66F. 3 hours after putting it in, temp was 68. I'll keep monitoring it to make sure it doesn't get too hot; it has a thermostat but is not marked with temperature, just a low to high scale.
Tonight I worked on the new garden unit and didn't do a proper check on all the plants.
10-25 (fl 19. v 67)
I finished the basics on the new rubbermaid flowering garden & frame. I put the flowering clones in it with 6-26 watt lights & 2-42 watt lights, all warm. Timer got stuck today & lights were on for 23 hours - arrgh! Turned them off & will leave them off until 8pm tomorrow in order to stay on night schedule.
I spread the cuttings I have to replace mothers out into cloner 4 to allow more light & see which cutting to keep. Took top from LS1 (the trifoliate).
10-31 (fl 25. v 73)
A thunderstorm knocked the electric off during the day, but no harm because I was home in time to reset all the timers before they were supposed to come back on.
I changed the Rubbermaid containers garden over to a recirculating bubbler system today to test my basic design before I build the large system for the main flowering garden. Added 4 more passive air intakes and removed about 1/3 of the carbon from the filter to increase air flow; temps are just too hot in the garden.
RubRes: 10 gallons RO water. Nutes 0/8/16 & H2O2. 1180ppm, pH 5.2.
Room temp 83.1F high, 77.2F low. Garden temp 93.4F high, 70.9F low. Humidity 43L/ 59H
RubRes: 1210ppm, pH 5.5, 80F. Down about .5 gal, but did not add water
Room temp 82.2F high, 79.5F low. Garden temp 86.2F high, 72.3F low. Humidity 49L/ 61H
Bubbler 1 & 2 - I discarded the old mother plants tonight. New mothers will be chosen from rooted clones and put in the bubblers after I disinfect them (the bubblers, not the clones).
RubRes: 1110ppm. Added 0 gal water; pH 5.7, 79F.
Room temp 83.8F high, 79.9F low. Garden temp 93.0F high, 74.1F low. RH 48L/ 60H
LS2 plant is wilting; no idea why. Made sure that nute was running right & bent the airstones to let more air come out. No other plants are wilting, not even the one that is sharing the same container.
11-14 (fl 39)
No measurements taken - too sick with a migraine.
Bubbler 1: Added 2c water
Cloner 3: Added 3c water
Cloner 4: Added 1c water
RubRes: Added 1 gal water.
LS2 plant in this unit was wilting & dying with no apparent reason. The other plants in the unit are just fine. Tried misting, made sure the nutrient & air lines were tight and working, checked pH & TDS - everything normal. Gave up & harvested the plant early.
Since there is room in the unit from harvesting LS2 early, I added an MMM1 (single cola) and an MMM2 (topped several times; lots of branches) to the garden.
11-16 (fl 41)
Bubbler 1: Added 1/1/2 nutes & H2O2; 1010ppm, pH 5.7, 68F.
Some plants showing signs of possible iron def, so I increased nutes slightly
Cloner 3: 940ppm, pH 4.5. Added 1c tap & 1 qt RO water; 690ppm, pH 5.7.
Cloner 4: 740ppm, pH 5.2. Added 1/2c tap water; 680ppm.
RubRes: 1200ppm. Added 0 gal water; pH 5.8, 75F.
Room temp 78.6F high, 75.2F low. Garden temp 91.2F high, 70.5F low. Humidity 39L/ 58H
The MMM1 clone I put in here on 11/15 broke while I was working on airstones, so I replaced it with another. The new clone is already flowering even though it has not been on 12/12 lighting.
11-23 & 11-24
Worked too late to do much - just topped off water as needed. Christmas rush
I tried a quick-dry sample of the MMM plant I harvested. A nice light buzz, but it's got to be the rankest nastiest-tasting weed I've ever smoked. Tastes bad going in and much worse coming back out.
If proper drying doesn't improve the taste, I'll use this to make cannabutter & trash the mother plant.
