i thought there were a few more, but i must have ran them...i know they said Alpha Diesel x Fire OG..then it said NorCal Bob underneath..its embedded in my mind...i didn't know who NorCal Bob was so had to ask Phillthy...he said it was some really dank fire.....he gave me the Alpha Fire beans when i got the GROM bx1 from him...
Sup MP...yes i remember the ECSD x SD IBL's you gave me...it was my fav for a couple of years...MP's Diesel...lol DJXX

Definitely on board for this one... ive been itching to get my hands on some nice sour d.
I think everyone has a strain or two they wish they would have never let go my sour d cut is mine....lol

I hope ya get all keepers brother! You certainly got some hot chicks to breed! Lol

Ya know an Alhpa Fire recreation sounds pretty nice too :)

Hey brother DJ, looks like you will have plenty of SD IBLs to choose from ;). The Alpha Diesel was always the strain I wished I would have grabbed from the entire SD projects because it always had great reviews of very potent and super strong smelling buds of Sour D goodness. That pic from Phillthy just shows how sick the AD could get.

The 1st time I ran the SD IBL (2010 release) I started 5 beans, got 1 male and 4 females. 1 female was super strong smelling then got messed up by a storm and didn't stink as bad as before. Haven't found another that stinky from the IBL yet but I know its possible. Hoping you find the most rank stank dank Sour D to work with for this project. Its always a favorite, people love the stink on her. GL with this project and all the crosses you are gonna make. I'm gonna be all over that Alpha D whenever they hit the bay. So people keep an eye on this project, and I know of a few others so we can help a fallen brother out. Take care 1

Is rez sd considered the best? Loud? Horti? Karma? I guess rez is the only s1... there r no s1 ecsd seeds other than rez?

Looking forward to this project DJ. Should be interesting. Curious how your alpha d does I just popped some of those, a lot stouter structure than I expected.

@True Grit - ...with the Alpha - we really weren't impressed at all with the F1 generation. Phillthy like the high enough...and on a stem rub male smelled pretty much the same as Sour D and an AJ S1 - so, he kept it around. It was hit to other plants...and they came out more "sour" than expected...so he went ahead and did the F2s. By that time - the pollen was old and had already failed to work for Deezy - and it barely took on the Alpha D F2's...I think Phillthy only got around 10 or 15 of those...might have only been 6 or 7...

But from those F2's - were some of the most bad ass plants I've ever seen...truly...and the "sour" was alive and very real in them...

So let me suggest, if you don't find the "F1" to be the heat - don't give up and take them another generation and explore there - you may find yourself blessed.


@DJXX - yeah man, that wasn't Fire OG - and I'm still not sure how or why it got labeled that way. That was Ken Father...it was a mislabel when it was received. Although, Melty and I talked about it - and I'm still not sure how seeds ever got labeled that way...only Phillthy could explain that...but those are certainly Ken Father x Alpha D.

@SourPuss - Rez didn't do a Sour D s1 - he used m/f combinations over selective generations...and did multiple releases all with varying degrees of success and outright failure in some regards. But I'd still say the potential in the work that was done surpasses the work others have done - simply because his intention was to make a stable Sour D - and the others you mentioned did not pursue that avenue...

Ya definitely plan on attempting f2's regardless for preservation. Hopefully find something decent this round though. How was structure on those? So far these are way stouter than I expected. Fatter leaves and much shorter than the Star but nothing close to ecsd shape or structure. We shall see.

@true grit - ya, there were some in the F2 that you'd have thought were a shorter / stocky OG Kush - because that is how they looked. But there were some that stretched almost double what those did...so it made it pretty obvious which ones were more sour leaning pretty much right out the gate...even before flowering..

Hmm, we shall see then because these are all nice and stocky and taking a hot minute to show sex. Ill snap some pix when i get a few females figured out but not really looking like OG or ECSD cuts at this point lol. But hey if they can stay stout and throw diesel ill be even happier.

Nice project DJXX. Good luck with it.

Was a sad day when I lost the ECSD. I had a grip of Rez SD BX 2.5 F2 passed to me a while back. When I pulled them out of the box I remember thinking straight away what a shame it was to not have that cut around. Would have been cool to test Soul's cubing theory on the ECSD. You know, just for shits and giggles.
