True but I doubt cannabis cares and to be honest there is a lot of genetics out there that will herm on you if your grow is anything but 95%+ perfect and i still think he probably does get picked on as if he is the main problem in all of this seedy biz and i see sensitive genetics everywhere.

I've seen herms caused by anything from large air temp swings(cold nights), watering with water that is cold enough to shock the roots, micro nutrient toxicity, major nutrient imbalances, topping, over watering, under watering, not enough light, getting blown too much by fans and hotspots also seem to help stress them enough..

It isn't just light leaks and timer fuck ups that can stress the plant that much, and at the end of the day they know very well they aren't outside when their indoors, so it is just a case of having to remove as much stress as you can as a plant is always more likely to herm indoors.

And seems to me that cannabis growing outside is so stress free that light in their night cycle doesn't affect them at all but 100% will make most things herm indoors, i've had my share of timer deaths.

Why do different members seem to have different image restrictions?

I have attachment envy. All I can manage are small piddly picture posts

No hermies here from his gear. 4 females from a 10 pack of OSD, 1 female from 3 gifted seeds of 91 chem. A few late flower bananas but not a single seed.
None of the chem stuff is stable so it might be more sensitive than your other stuff, but it's still probably your fault!

Yup, same here bro, I have grown Tahoe og S1. , raskal og fems ( Tahoe x fire ) ,hazy og, boss Hogg ,strawberry og and grape kush,no hermies just dank bud.

Hey guys, just wondering what cannabis seeds have to do with GMO's? How would they have GMO's? Peace :ying:

It was a stupid comment I made between gmo and fem seeds being hermie prone...they have nothing in common... I appologise for the inconvenience

From what I have read the interest in GMO cannabis is the seed itself and increasing the seed size to make it more useable for food.

Now while they're are at it they will probably make them terminator genetics so the the seed can not reproduce naturally, and also they might splice in some DNA from the Bt bacteria to make them pest and herbicide resistant.

The GMO thing is all about control, they control the seed thru terminator genetics so farmers are continually dependent on Monsanto to provide the seed year after year. Monsanto loves to make seed that will only grow with their Roundup Ready farming system, which is another form of control as it forces farmers to buy only their pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers in order to grow those plants in turn giving them total control over the agriculture industry.

The worst thing health wise about GMO is not actually the plants but the cancerous Glyphosate herbicide they spray all over everything.

Whoever said the hermie was my fault... wrong grown fine in the same setup with other genetics no hermies in sight.

I had 818 headband and it hermied 1-2 weeks into flower, nuts on all the lower branches

Fact is cali connection is a pathetic company their whole line is hermie prone a small internet search will show you this, i'm just letting people know before they make the same mistake i did.
And thank God i got my Head Band from Reserva p .

Ive grown SD, LA, sour secret and purp wreck, multiple phenos of each. Ive had an LA herm outside and sour secret herm indoors. And found zero keepers

I'd take CC over DNA/RP any day.

I have sprouted 1 seed out of my GSC pack from CC. It is about a month and a half old now and I see pre-flowers (female), no pollen sacks at all... Not trying to defend this guy in the least, just saying I popped 1/6 seeds and so far no pollen sacks.

The only thing I was incredibly disappointed in is that I did not do my research ahead of time to figure out that he was lying about his genetic line. It is not "the real deal thin mint pheno" as advertised, not sure if he has since changed this, but apparently there is huge controversy around this and it is supposedly actually 'Fortune Cookies' which is apparently mixed with OG kush. Correct me if I'm wrong I haven't read up on this in over 2 months so maybe I am not remembering correctly or he did change things to say that it is not the 'real deal'. Leaf structure looks close to a Sour Strawberry Kush I ran a few years back.

Either way, I am fully aware when I purchase from seed and not clone that I am NOT going to get the exact same genetics as the parent, and I have a CHANCE to get something good.

That being said, I also ran Greenhouse Seeds Lemon skunk a few years back, and 3/5 of the seeds had an intense lemon sent/flavor. One of them which was better then ALL of the lemon phenos was a grapefruit pheno, which the stems smelled like oranges oddly enough, it has reduced yields but is some of the frostiest I have ever grown. I'm revegging the mother right now and in the process of moving to a new home, will post some pics in a few months once I get her up and running again.
