BASICALLY, you want < 20% total blue + 40% middle spectrums + 40% > 600-650, and if possible a separate o/o switch for half the reds to kick in once buds set

Yes that was my idea, and I will check these charts to see, but this should do well.
I was even considering omitting half of the COB's and running only 8 instead of 16 to conserve heat. Then I could pirate the other drivers and reflectors into ???? anything

Hello everyone. I have been a long time lurker and are interested in someone who knows about DIY LED's.

Petflora. You seem to give out alot of information but i dont see you actually doing any DIY yourself. All talk and no action.

I mean your above post is fine. but how do i work out the percentage of each colour? Very light on details.

So anyone else with experience would be great. I have read that the CXA cree series is where it is at. Thank you.

Shots taking is not necessary. :moon:

Alas, IC is way behind with DIY LEDs, but do a search. There are several really good ones elsewhere

I understand the basics of DIY, and follow those guys, but lack the test equipment should it not light upon completion

Besides, I just got hooked up with BML Horticulture lighting. If you understand mjs needs for spectrum balance, you can select your own spectrums, and they will build it!

In the last 6 months DIY has gotten super simple due to Molex connectors + COBs. Now materials are coming on the market to replace grease, which offers easier and better led/heat sink interface

Be cool if you started a DIY thread here, but when ou read those threads, damn, there's a ton to know:tiphat:

I noticed that too, lots of questions, and far too few good educated answers to go by. Dr Nagano is very helpful as is 3d. Therefore , even though I am inexperienced with LED's, I will begin my DIY forum in the next few days here , and hopefully , with the right materials, we can enjoy this technology and get the most out of the new Cree chips on the market

BTW, welcome to OUR LED section Egoloss!!! So nice to see good common sense folks showing up here :)

I dont think it is shot taking. You havent done DIY LED's - Fact.

Do a search? Someone who passes on what they dont know. You can admit it. It is ok.

You say you understand the basics of DIY based on theory. I want experience. Massive difference. What guys do you follow?

Besides, I just got hooked up with BML Horticulture lighting. If you understand mjs needs for spectrum balance, you can select your own spectrums, and they will build it!

I have seen you spaming this about. You probably work for them. I dont want a ready made panel. Not my thing.

It has gotten super simple? Coming from the guy who cant show me his 'simple' setup? Am i the only person seeing you talk porkies?

By the way. This is not an attack on you. I have stated facts on what you are about. And i think it is dangerous for newbies like me to follow your ways on LED's. It is like you are a rep for one of those shady LED companies i hear so much about.

Can you please tell me how much percentage (or how i would tell) green is in a quality Neutral white LED?

Thank you friend. Already you have pointed me to educated users. I dont think the LED industry needs anymore pretenders.

I'll be sure to drop in.

I suggest you search all the threads and journals I have done over the last 3 years here.

You might change your tone, but either way, I only try to help. That you jump to conclusions is to your own determent.

I'm guessing it's not the first time you've have egg on your face.

You might start with the OP, and start apologizing from there, not that I care what you do or think, but if you call me out, I will point out your ignorance

3 years? Long time to be pretending around this forum. The conclusion i come to is that you just pin ball from one thing to another. Ok. So egg on MY face huh. Any DIY LED journals? Im getting a clearer picture...

You are right. i am sorry that Petflora posted in here adding...ummm...er...words of meaningless quality.

I couldn't agree more brother

I kept asking this character questions that went un-answered , so I checked out others questions and noticed a pattern. I wasn't the only one getting general nothing answers.
Now, I only recently joined the LED area here, and I assumed this guy posting here all over the place was the guy, based on his jibber jabber.
I certainly never promote this sort of general "NEGATIVITY" that has occurred here, but this, (for me) was all brought on by PetFlora, and his balls-y attempt to shoosh me because the subject wasn't to HIS liking in HIS thread (no one cares). I don't even really know him. It kinda fell on the LOW end of the "Are you @%#king kidding me?" SCALE.

Do I mind keeping the DIY chat to a minimum?!!! he says. UMMM ya I mind. I mind

I would personally enjoy the LED discussion in any form or forum, anytime, in my threads, or anyone else's

I do look forward to moving past this and talking cannabis and LED's. I have noticed many helpful and many kind and pleasant folks here, as this website has been fantastic for me over the years. Not to be taken for granted by any means

Well i am the same. I dont want to be negative. But when i see a problem that needs to be addressed, i want to solve it. I just dont want newbies to follow advice from somebody who doesnt know what they are talking about. If he could admit he doesnt have any answers and copies it from other people... it will be more beneficial to the community and his existence.

I think he is delusional on his own fame, explains all the spamming. Maybe i could council him?

Anyways...Might go play with some LED's.

The way to move past this is to stop posting

Since it's clear you and ego(not less) do not trust what I bring, why do you bother to continue to post here?

I went back through this thread to see what I said that confused you. I saw it's your lack of knowledge about spectrums, but you expect me to magically enlighten you. Try opening a book, or doing some actual research. That's the place to start

All you do is continue to bash me, and coming from your two clueless idiots, it just rolls right off my back

Since it's now mostly you two pissing in the wind, I am unsubscribing

No one needs your negative energy. Learn or be left behind

Yeah erase it from your memory. Not a second more thought

I will spare you from the embarrassment you dont know what 'Egoloss' is. Oh you said Egoless. Cant even get my name right. You actually think you are king of this section dont you. Why do we bother to post here? because we are looking for information. Dont worry, I wont be quizzing you on 'LED waft'.

Haha. Oh no dude i arent confused, Its very clear to me. And it isnt just this thread. (remember the instructions to read all your 'grows') Yes my lack of knowledge of spectrum was an initial question. But its ok because i need someone to actually help with knowledge. Not pretend to know, so yes it would be quite a magic trick if you could pull something out of your ass. Haha, and more passing off of instructions as he still kids himself.

All you do is continue to bash me, and coming from your two clueless idiots, it just rolls right off my back

'It just rolls right off my back. But now i have to leave on an unrelated matter. Good thing i helped so many people and can rest my BIG head on my pillow of waft. '

i just love egg all over my face by the way. Even your wafty and airy 'proverbs' are average.

Somehow, Egoloss, it seems as though we are thoughtless idiots with NOTHING to offer huh?!

I am a LED newbie yes, but LIFE, far from it. Yes, fluffy does know a FEW things that I don't about LED's, but I have only been at it for immmm, maybe 6 months? and I have learned almost as much as you in oh, about a week.

Yeah, I never claimed to know much of anything about the current or past LED technology, which is why we ARE ALL HERE. . . FLUFFY
One thing that I DO know about, is life, and asses like you fluffers, and you probably poked the wrong bear this time

Not to bully, or claim your status on some silly forum that apparently means much more to you than it does me PetFlora. I have always been open to sharing what little I do know about LED's , (without strings), to the best of my abilities so we can all help each other grow and become more efficient in our grows. Now when it comes to growing in general, I will council you little green dustball!

Now as you can see, fluff ball got himself a bit deeper into this than he must have anticipated.
This is a big SOUR can of worms for bossy people who like him who came to the soup table with far too small a spoon

Best words of the day---------

quote--PetFlora- I am unsubscribing

Ego, I am waiting on the rest of the parts for the CXA 3050.

Once I receive all the necessary pieces, I look forward to sharing a fluff-ball free conversation about it and it's potential. I will document it as well as I can.

Unlike some OTHERS here who wake up, and sits in front of his computer all day, and pretends to be king in his own little pathetic forum filled life, I have other , better things to waste my time claiming a thread or being upset that my personal set of rules isn't being followed

post, water, post, snivel, post (HEY, this is MY POST!)
