Well that was fun...

Got pool 2 chopped and hanging...

Turned out the pre trim worked to well and the damn seeds fell like crazy with the 1st plants chopped...

Not such a good thing if you need to place lots of different flavors close to each other... Makes for a huge mixed seed batch...
Not a good thing in my book...lol

So I improvised a little...






Just how do you get a better picture from a cell phone.

Then there was pool 1...





The last large plant got pulled from this pool 10 days after it's last flooding and showed no sign of drying out. It has taken about 3/4 of the water in the lower pool and I still have some small plants in it that are just starting to go south... This is with no floods-no light and cold with high humidity... Interesting shit in my book..lol

Lots more on roots and this/that to come later...

Okay... so that's my update for the time being...lol

Wait till you see pool 3... lol

i tried this pool method .. last year.. and i couldnt get all the plants to look great.. they all yielded great.. had nice roots.. nice buds. butttt they didnt look the best.. .. everything i grew in it was super LEAFY.. i couldnt stand it.. once i switched quality went back to normal.. it was fucking wierd..

i noticed the only REAL way to use the pool is 1 STRAIN. or a few that feed the same..

i noticed i couldnt DIAL in multiple strains in a single pool and see the fulll potential until i used single pots.. my next run. im using single pots.. but putting a few inches of dirt on the floor.. so the roots can come out of the pots and move .. but ill still be able to feed wats needed to wat.. so i can use smaller pots.. more plants. but have bigger roots / bigger fruits.

but good luck with those pools man.. i just noticed it was more a hassle.. then it was helping.

You nailed it on the head,JO...
single strain is the way to play...
Thinking they are way over kill for a single plant but
4 plants with stacked 600s will kill it all day long IMO.

There are downsides though.
Lack of different feeds per plant and once placed it's not moving...
Yet the benefits outweigh the draw backs for me...

Then there's the fact that with the same 2 pools
you can go many different ways and I really enjoyed the VEG
pool with a feed ring feeding Air pots...
You could easily add and take away aw well as move the plants,bla,bla... $10 pools... lol

Im thinking my next go around will be a side by side with 4 plants per and one pool using the feed rings with 4 x 3gal Air pots...

Really though.. I think the jewel will be the No till living soil beds and I sure wish some dudes working magic with NTLS would figure out how to best go about setting up a pool for soil...

Things I chew on with soil in mind are:
Fabric sides patches-Air Pots patches-Automatic tea flushes and watering. Maybe using wicks and the water level to dry and moisten the soil...Meaning almost no top watering... Things like mixing CC and soil so as to allow floods of some sort-Teas or ?... IDK but these things sure are fun to play with in my minds eye and Im sure sooner or later a good soil idea will stick and next thing you know... lol

Oh I almost for got... What about one of my pools just as I did this season used for 1 tree outdoors.... I keep thinking...
Man... 300-800 gallons of dirt is a shit load of dirt...lol

I bet one tree vegged in these pool outdoors would get ya something close to these monster smart pots being use,but at the same time...
I dont pretend to know... Just a stoner thought...:biggrin:

Man oh man....

I've got a youtube page growing a little collection of this and that...
Lots of roots.... Kiddie Pool-PPK floods,Root Ball pulls and a few more good things...

The page needs work but there's a good smoke break or 2 if you get bored...









Ive got everything hanging 8-16 days now and the 1st few have gone into brown bags today with the others to follow soon...

Going for a real slow dry,cure...
