You can get a good pump for far less than $200. The oven is another question. I picked up a 6 cf (that retails for ~$6k) oven for 1k, but I live near Silicon Valley, and a lab, and all of its equipment went up on CL. I saw similar ovens on EBay for a similar price, but with $500 in shipping. Having three shelves purging 2 zip sheets each, really is nice, but only necessary if you are providing that volume on a regular basis. Making shatter near "Shatter City", is a tough game, and one I want very minimal involvement in.
If my focus was providing shatter to an ignorant patient base, then I would not even use my oven to purge, I would Winterize everything. Luckily, my processing, will be for the purpose to bank as many milligrams as possible for medibles...

dude.. this entire community.. is based on PERSONAL PREFERENCE. i might like bho made with that degreaser shit.. and u mite like bho.. i might like the mixed propane/nbutane/isobutane... and u might just like straight n butane. iuno .. me personally i like more darker of a color in my bho.. not dark dark.. but i do not like shit thats light like fucking glass and barely a tint of yellow to it... so far the best oil ive had was straight up light orange.

BHO is short for "butane hash/honey oil." If it's not made with butane it's not BHO as far as I know.
Color isn't the be-all, end-all indicator of quality for this. I've seen vacuum purged full flower CBD shatter that was a greenish brown and a bright yellow SSH full flower... crumbly wax I guess? I'm not really up on the lingo. Got both from the same dispensary in Seattle, both were some of the best hash I've ever had.
I hate to call you out like this but if you believe any old solvent will work then try selling an ounce or two of isopropyl hash to a dispensary. Pick a dispensary. Any dispensary. Iso's the cheapest solvent out there so long as you don't mind poisoning everyone who'll buy from you.
People care a LOT about their solvents and residuals. The recreational market may still be a bit short on their weed science but the medical market has been learning a lot in recent years.

haha. ya i didnt do my homework.. talk to gray wolf boss.. if u read half as much as i have.. ull see that many places down in colorado .. are mixing there own solvents.. to make a lighter or darker extract.. and if u have ever used power 5x. or vector.. and then used capital n butane.. or any other n butane.. u will see the difference..
and sorry i didnt know what to call this other hash oill.. we can call it DHO.. instead. i dont give a fuck.. all im saying is . good extracts can be made with canned butane.. like most people out there.. they use cheap butane.. not many people are spending 70-80 a case for n butane.. most are paying 35 for a case of power 5x.. which guess what.. is a mix.. of propane.. isobutane.. and n butane.. like most CANNED BUTANE ..

Dabs, a few pages back you mentioned the low EC frequent feeds. I was curious what EC youre at in veg and in flower......
i run h&g line because they gifted me a ton of it, but i feed 4x a day in 2 gal smart pots with a .8EC in veg and around 1.1EC in flower

Supdate; Got Flower B all built...
10 Plants, 2 k stacked bulbs. 100ft^2 of trellis. Plants are sittin in flood tables. Watered and drained by hand for now. Im sure i'll get sick of that shit in like 4 minutes tho..

The answer to your question is in the above thread, but in short it worked well during the short time he tested it, but due to taking over a new spot he is currently using the proven jacks hydro + cal nit recipe. Said he intends to further test the bloom booster down the road
