CFL Club!

I am learning with cfls. First run was a joke, but the second is going much better. I'm only using 78w of warm cfl on one female. ICMAG is like college for cultivators. I love this place!

Really rudimentary setup

Great for the novice like myself. Here is my baby at 21 days flower.

i added a few extra W into one of my cab, let me share.
there is ca. 120W of CFL in there.

three River Dog (ChemdogDD-x-SourDiesel ibl) moms are being flowered in that cab and i bet they do enjoy extra lighting

20 gallon Rubbermaid + 23 watt CFL = great discrete/stealth low-energy-consumption veg chamber.

2 x 33 watt round 'flying saucer' shape fluorescent = even more light for the plants, it also works good.

I haven't tried flowering under fluorescents for a long time. But they sure have been a great tool for veg'ing clones, etc.

Hi there,

One quick question:

what is best in terms of quick growth and yield:

more Watts even though a different light color for each phase, or should i respect light temperature and apply them on specifically on phases.

Thanks in advance

did anyone read the latest addition of soft secrets, there is an article in it saying CFL are for beginners and if you try using CFLs its very likely that you will be so disappointed that you will give up growing.

i say drop in here and see what real CFL growing is like some here

Your plants look healthy, but I hope you keep those lights closer to the plant tops than they are in the picture. Like two or three inches max.

wu. for veg i used 12x23watt 5000k 1600 lumen cfls totaling 276watts.. i usually kept them around 8 inches from the tops of my girls. ive definitely have had my share of some brown spots but i just treated them as deficiencies and had much improvement. also had a small case of pythium. but hey have both recovered. they both had almost died on me. one for negligence (remember to not pinch your airlines plant will suffer) and the other from the pythium within a week from eachother. i have had my share of battles with this grow. luckily they both bounced back. i had to let them veg 2 weeks longer to make sure they recovered. now they are on day 4 of flower and looking very healthy waiting to see if they hermed on me with all that stress they dealt with or if i still have two little girls. i now am running 10x23watt 6x2700k and 4x5000k all 1600 lumen and i also have one 24" 55watt 2700k flourescent under the canopy so i dont have to lose all the popcorns on the bottom so i can run those to make hash and shatter..
