The loss of credit card payment options caused a lot of the trouble. People like it easy but I wish this had never slowed the business down.

I just recently saw more SB seeds go on sale at his store and knew he didn't have more.

Really thought things were going ok until recently because JB continued to make promises he didn't keep. Through all this JB tried to get me to delete my account here but I just laughed at him thinking how long I have known Skip, Payaso, Clarence and OldPink.

They never lied to me or cheated me but I wanted to have more distribution.

I was warned and I made a mistake because I needed money and wanted a site with credit cards working. But now we see that isn't really safe.

How hard is it to get a MO? I think sending cash is safer than a credit card.

Glad we are still here. I apologize to everyone I can think of including my growers who may have ordered from the un named site that is now history. Bog

We don't have MO's over here in Europe. Atleast where I am no one has heard of that.
The last cash order I sent to the bay got stolen in registered tracked mail.. so yeah.

I think we could all benefit from some digital sort of payment (bitcoin), or at least the acceptance of instant money transfers like Mgram or WU..

I think it has less to do with getting a MO and more to do with the slow and/or unreliable postal services. With snail mail sometimes it takes a week some times it takes a month or it doesn't get there at all it's kind of just a roll of the dice.

In the era of the N$A and big brother peeping in to every part of our lives it's probably better to just avoid CC's all together.

I just remembered that i bought some BOG Sour Grape 2013 from seedbay and TSD.

I remembered that BOG said they were large striped seeds.....

I thought it was weird, one of the packs i got were striped, the others were not.

I'd like to understand why I got 3 points of "post not useful" ... in Italy we call this "pull the stone and hide the hand." I simply described my experience with sd. i didn't tell fibs, I didn't whine. Simply they have endangered my safety. Period.
Others have had better experiences? best for them. do not understand why this thread is full of rancor and post "not useful" for members in good standing.
Maybe because I do not think it right to use the post not useful, I prefer to put my face and respond. eventually...I understand less and less users of this forum, honestly. Sorry for my bad googlenglish, howewer.

I'll take honesty and good business over convenience. Main reason I always order through the bay/bou. I don't like spending the extra money and time to ship a little money order quickly overseas but I do it anyway. It's all a gamble either way but it feels good to know I can trust the service here. I've been through this mess a couple of years ago so I'm not surprised at all. I do not trust any new sites.

I suppose it would be against your TOU to mention the website's name, although now that it is closed and not a competitor what difference does it make? I have tons of things bookmarked and it would be great not to have to click on dozens of links to find the right one!

I wish it could be different with regards to payments. Trust me when I say I have almost packed it in over this issue alone. You may notice that there have been more freebie offers and more price reductions at the bay. A lot will also tell you that I have been sending out gift packs for many lost payments and orders that have gone missing. This is something we had stopped doing a long time ago and that I have started again in the last year. This is done at a loss to us a business. Now I am not saying that u the customer is not losing out but I am trying. It really pisses me off when we are accused of being thieves, the one thing in my life that does get under my skin. But when u understand the nature of the business and its current situation and flaws it is totally understandble. I can never convince anyone 100% that does not know us a to our honesty.

I was told by my boss, Gypsy, many moons ago that when it came to customers with order issues that I was to shower them with love. Now albeit cheesey and I know many of you wont believe that anyway, it is the truth. Unfortunately there is only so much love to give currently while we struggle on.

I found tsd when I was looking for dj short blueberry. The bou just sold out and hd had yet to re-up. Found lots of fancy strains at tsd. It's concerning to hear about fakes. The dc beans look smaller than normal afghans. I can't grow but still want a secure seed stock. It would really suck to have to order more beans. It's a long walk to the post office and freezing out, as I have no car.

The difference being the SB/SB folk have a history of making sure their clients get what they ordered, for well over a decade. They have a history of honouring their commitments to their suppliers.

JB had a fancy website, an ability to manipulate the google algorithm to capture traffic, and a facebook/twitter presence.... what the world has come to when a 30 year old computer geek with a vendetta can create so much drama and steal from so many people, and fool so many others into thinking he was an industry player rather than a nerdy croatian ex-pat canadian trying to skim as much as he could before running back to his little hole in the Philippines.

This is true about the world as a whole but especially the decreasingly underground cannabis trade. When I was totally underground I never got ripped off but since joining the medical community I've been ripped off by a half dozen legendary figures in the trade. The sociopath salesman wins out every time it seems. I was raised in a culture which valued humility and its a hard trait for me to break. Ive always been interested in the science and my interest in this industry decreases by the day despite being ymy lifes work. As to the comment someone made earlier about people being dumb for buying seeds from someone without a proven record but there's so many criticisms thrown around its hard to know. SB even has its share of breeders with claims of being ripped off.

As far as I remember these forums are open to anyone. As long as you stick to the guidelines. Now if I am not mistaken the exodus of members was not to do so much with TSD opening but more to do with Gypsy's current situation. Obviously there were members that went due to JB's poaching and claims of an uncensored community. Strange as Chimera was one of the first to be banned and blocked from TSD after JB had ripped him off!!!!

Seems folks want to group all seed banks alike. The BOO & BAY have set everyone apart by the vast choices offered (the mold was broken so to speak), reasonably priced giving stellar service to us all. I'm certainly grateful. THANKS!!!!!!!
