Somehow, I think there's been this notion that "BUGS ARE BAD MMKAY ALL MEDIA MUST BE STERILE AND ALL GARDENS MUST BE A LAB-GRADE!" have you seen my room ??? :)

To each his own, I get it
I'm not disagreeing with ya Silver .... but that is exactly my way of thinking about it . i'm irradicating any living thing i see in there . i use chem nutes & i'm not really concerned about beneficials . don't really know enough about them TBH .

most "pest" bugs we get in indoor gardens are the result of cultural errors more than anything else....mostly i just try and keep the rooms clean and put out sticky traps to monitor the situation but a hardly sprayed anything on the plants this summer...i think my problems were worse before i had hundreds of plants around, but i can see theres always praying mantis around and of course the resident lizards,im sure that helps to some degree...

Understandable - I'm not a guru on the topic by any means, but I've learned enough that the "ZOMG STERILE EIWWW ALL BUGS ARE GRODY BRAH." (Interestingly, I think my first exposure when I saw my containers just teeeeeeming with springtails - AHHHH WHAT IS THIS FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK I'M DOOMED) :)

If nothing else, even that basic "Not all bugs are bad" knowledge will save ya some grey hairs down the road. :)

Yeah silv she blew it alright!!!! She's new n fairly affordable. If she can marinate n smoke meat she's alright with me!!

A cut of meat or your meat?

(Or my meat? I think there's a saying, something about it's not of any entertainment value unless the acquaintances can enjoy some of that fine booty.)

lol,i dont even like to read the annual water report here sometimes, there is all kinds of crazy shit in the water here...uranium...cyanide... i know its all at "acceptable" levels, but im not sure there is an acceptable level of uranium in your drinking water....
Is there an acceptable level of Uranus in drinking water?

:dunno:

Hmm. Seems like a waste - and let's be clear, there are plenty of creepy crawlies that can exist in "dirt" and still be hunky dory.

In most of my containers, if you look closely, you'll see loooooots of critters cruising around in the dirt. :)

To each his own, I get it, but I do think it's worthwhile to reinforce the fact that there are plenty of "acceptable" critters that can exist just fine in one's "dirt." :)

All critters are welcomed in my rooms except the bad mites, gnats and thrips.

Spiders are more than welcome.

Shitty orange pics .... i'll get some before lights on & as they stretch a little more , but I got the net over them tonight . ( GG ) they're a week into flower .... so theres still time to stretch out . I put it just at the tops of the plants so the side branches can come up through also . the tops i can always supercrop if they get to long . (untopped)

quick shot of the headbands too . they look like they're not going to stretch much but are filling out quite nicely :)

So there was this public meeting/forum I went to tonight at the local court house about the future of legal commercial operations in the county and the state. Never thought I'd be going to something like that at the court house, or in the state.

Quick question, I need to get another little light for my temporary seedling spot.

picture.php

Are CFL's more effective than t8's?

(also, am I correct in assuming t5's are more effective than t8's?)

Im thinking of getting another one of these 32 watt cfl's...
picture.php

but for about the same price, I could get one of these t8 fixture's that hold two 32 watt t8s.

So is 64 watts of CFL better than 64 watts of t8????
