Hello again IC!
I pretty much had all the nutrients and extra's I needed to start. I was planning on getting a sediment filter to help get iron out of the water.
Now I have a bit of good fortune, and have $2500.00 to complete my medical garden. And I would like some advice on what to get, if anything.
I do have intake/outake covered. A 12" outlet is very effective for my small space.
Water quality is not covered yet. Air quality(Co2) is also not covered.
My room is really dry naturally, and air flow is good, mold should not be an issue. Has not been an issue in my space. Have not had any bad bugs in 3+ years. Room stays cool, under 78f with 6 600s, so taking out 3 600s and putting in 2 1000s should not affect temps to much.
So these are my questions, and thank you for taking the time to read them.
Do I need a sediment/RO filter? I do have a lot of iron in the water and it is pretty hard. No chlorine though.
Do I need a Co2 Generator? PPMs may be low, so I will get one of those Co2 Tester needle things. What should be my desired Co2 levels?
Should I just seal up my room and buy an AC to go with a Co2 gen? I have seen some nice results with that sort of setup. What sort of AC would you recommend for a room up to 6k watts?
Do I need a TDS/PPM/EC/PH pen? Do I need it with or without RO water? For the coco? If not a "pen", then what to measure the PH, PPM, ect?
So basically, I am about to try a small batch of coco for the first time, using the KISS fertilizer method, and just doing some Happy Frog with perlite n lime. I have my lights bulbs and hoods, I am ready to plug in when my babies are ready.
What would you recommend to optimize yield and minimize labor at this point? Will post pics if I can.
I am willing to try Blumats and a reservoir, especially for the coco. So yeah I have a 2500$ budget for any potential extras and am willing to listen.
Thanks for reading and replying!
