Sweet man, really friggin' sweet!! So did you just transplant them on the day you posted the pics? I really like your homemade fabric pots. What"s the netting material made of that's holding them in their shape. I was gonna buy a bunch of fabric grow bags for next year, but now you have inspired me to make my own.

Looks like concrete reinforcement wire to me. Damn nice job HL. The place looks very similar to where I live now, up in the mountains. It is so beautiful here I don't miss NC at all and have no intentions of ever moving back. I wish I could have gotten here a few months earlier. I didn't have time to do anything outside this year but I'm looking forward to 2014.

What are your temps like in fall/winter that you can grow veggies?

I like the idea of keeping the beds alive with a cover crop. The microherd will thank you.

LOL no, theyve been in for a while.

I used field fence and 15 yr weed blocker on some, chicken wire, rebar and weed blocker on the others. You can probable make a 600 gallon container for under $10

Are you gonna beat me and d9 to an outdoor ppk?

As positive and optimistic as I can be I must say be careful with the outdoor unless you have some help it can easily get overwhelming with choppers, rippers, and rain to worry about. I havent grown outdoors for years because I was tired of dealing with all of that, with no help.
Next year my ideal situation would be to force flower a month or two early, so I can enjoy more of our area in the warm dry season...This year Im working my arse off and trying to get things dialed with my indoor, this outdoor spot is honestly on the bottom of my list.

Kale will grow year round here, even seen it weather the snow a few times. I live in zone 8a-8b.

Ive spent under 3k for everything thats up here. 2 of that being in soil and amendments.

Hey now High life 45! Everything looks great! Quiz question: what are your top 3 picks for mold resistant strains here in the PNW? I'm up a bit further north in BC & would like to try something different...

Thx,
G

Honestly, Im no expert for mold resistant strains.. I would probably go with classics like williams wonder and oregon blueberry. I just had a bunch of plants so I put some outside. Half the garden came from another growers indoor, because they had a security issue.
