i'm almost to week 8 of flowering now and some of my bottom fan leaves are starting to fall off and i pluck the ones that are starting to go. i've now got a bag of clippings/leaves that i need to discard. i'm just wondering how i should discard of the unwanted material.

in previous grows i was able to just toss unwanted material into a burn barrel or into the woods behind my house but, now i live in a neighborhood. i've put some plant material in the garbage disposal but, i'm not comfortable doing that anymore.

so now i'm wondering, how do you dispose of unwanted material?

I've been wondering the exact same thing, exact same story as you. Used to live in the woods, now in a neighborhood. Looking forward to see what genius ideas the community has to share! =)

depending on the amt i would use the toilet or throw em in a bag and drop them in any public trash barrel.. i.e. on the way into a cvs or anywhere.

Large stuff goes to a dumpster run.

I do a run AT LEAST every week. No need to have shit laying around.

Be careful how much you put down the toilet, I have seen them clog pipes and start floods.

Dry them out and crush them up and start a compost pile.
Or trash. It is amazing how many public trash cans there are that you could easily dump a grocery store bags worth.
Dumpster diving is good, too.
Or, depending on amount, pay up and take it straight to the dump.

after there dry and crushed you cant tell what it is. You could use it as mulch in the flwer bed. Composting is great. Dumpster runs are ok.

Chuck that stuff in a bag and deliver it to your county dump. Make sure there's no names, addys or personal info in the bag(s).

Make bubble hash.Dump the finished trim/leaves in with the coco and root balls for disposal.I live in a city that recycles and composts,so in the green bin across town it goes.

I cant do that the dump we have here is inside a building. You drive in and an attendant tells you where to park. There is a guy that's down about 7 feet below you waiting for you to toss your garbage he then racks through it for electronics and Al or what ever they want to put in there pockets.

we live on the coast of BC, in an area that has some of the strongest currents in the world. in the rapids are extra large whirlpools capable of swallowing large vessels whole. we simple jettison our load overboard into to overfall of the whirlpool (hoping the engine doesn't bag out !) very effective way of unwanted leaf dispersal

Now that's what I call a dirty job. They need to call that dirty job tv celeb and put his ass to work.

I put them in a plasic bag tip some water in then put it in a tub with a lid on after a few weeks the water makes it turn to mold = the leaf can not be recognised as cannabis clippings or leaf then i put them in the bin or throw them on the garden = anyone sees it they dont know or can tell WTF it was to begin with.

Fans leaves, rootballs, soil, and branches all get composted. Leaf matter with trichomes on it gets sorted into vaporizer or tincture jars.

I'm not sure how workable a compost bin would be in your area but I've been thinking of taking a large rubbermaid tote and cutting the bottom off of it. Bury it in the ground till it is about 6" above the soil line. When it gets full then lift it out of the ground and dig another hole for it. Keep the top layer covered with something less intresting, bury the cannascraps a little deeper in the pit, and cover with the lid and some garden gnomes sentries. Few people would be the wiser. Our favorite female happens to be one of the best at giving back to mother earth what she took. Perhaps start the project and begin sneaking the scraps in after all the nosies have started their own compost bins with gnome outposts and moved on to Mrs. Daisy's eldest son and his new driver's permit.
