Nevilles Haze X Everything....

That's just my hippie curtain with a layer of black plastic behind it keeping the EP in the dark as she dries.I should trim her out today but I don't have the time. The whole plant is just about ready to pick the trim with my fingers. She was quite dry two days back but I turned off the dehum and let the RH go up a bit and re moisturized the branches a bit.Now it's about 70 deg and 60% RH.Some great buds to pick through!:)

Hey Slip Kid,

A recent turn of events has made me appreciate your posts in this thread even more. A friend offered up the possibility of getting me something called Headband. I have not sampled it yet, but I have smelled a jar of this before. It had a very pungent medicine/chemical/piney aroma.

I started doing some research on Headband, and found it is in the Sour Diesel family, or the same cut with a different name. I have never had Sour Diesel. I'm not sure I smelled diesel smell in the sample I smelled. I read huge arguments about this similar to arguments over Haze or something. I take this as a good sign as people seem to feel very strongly about these. I think this means that there are very good individuals to be found, even if all of them are not excellent.

I saw some postings of pictures, and I think it looks very much like what you are posting in this thread! This started me re-reading this thread from the beginning. I found earlier references to recommending Mango Haze as well as Neville's Haze. Thanks again.

I'd like to make a point about different people's Haze varieties. I've tested over 30 different individuals from three different companies, and I only found one great one. It happened to be a Neville's Haze, but the other 11 Neville's were hay, just like the hay in the other company's packs. I think it may have been just luck to find the great one in a Neville's pack.

With that said, I hope I get a Headband cut that is as good and as good looking at the children of the one that you are posting in this thread. It seems that you appreciate the same kind of effects as I do, and it would be excellent to have great effects from big fat sparkly buds like yours.

Have you tried what they call Headband? Is it similar to the mother of these plants that you are posting?

Thanks, and All the Best,

ThaiBliss

Oh yes, I've smoked what was labeled Headband and it was very similar to the sour d we run.I have friends who grow it and they love it but it hasn't made it into my garden yet. I would grab it in a minute but I've been too lazy to pick it up.
I hear you on the hazes, it's a tough run to find a good one but they do exist.Even then if you grow for other people they'll take the headband over any haze in a minute...I know I'm the only one in my town that likes haze so when you do have a good one everybody wants to know what the hell you did wrong with your sour d and that maybe you're slipping a bit!:)

Slip Kid,

Thanks for the response. I can't wait to try Headband. I don't care what other people think, except for the ones that seem to "get it" when it comes to the qualities that I most appreciate. I'm glad that I have found others like you here at ICMAG that seem to understand and are willing to share their experiences.

Lucky for me, I have a medical card and I don't have to worry about patients that have different tastes than mine.

Best Vibes,

ThaiBliss

Damn those early pearls look great! Raho I love the old sensi seedbank descriptions. I grew an early pearl x ssh cross for a while that was very nice bud. Still regret letting it go sometimes.

Headband

I run Headband constantly. It is one of my favorites. Our clone came from a Honeydew Humboldt closet years ago. Headband will produce S1 seeds at a rate of about one seed a pound if it is grown correctly. We have found about 24 seeds in maybe 30 lbs of Headband from that original Humboldt clone.

The clone is suseptable to pm. most seeds from Headband are about identicle to the mother, but, We had one that was even better then the original Daywrecker Diesel. It has a Earthy insense inhale, and a bit of some sweet perfume exhale. It is exotic.

We have grown at least 19 seeds from the Headband Mother and the very last one is a full on male. The mother Headband was grown indoors with filtered air and no males anywhere around.

Nevil said it is very rare and does happen. He has never worked with Headband but wants it too.

The male is very large. Ill show it to you later. I will be keeping clones of it.

Here is the Female Headband. Hopefully Ill get a few pounds off her this run. Real nice smoke. Some of the best on the planet.

I hope You get the original Daywrecker cut we got. It feels like you are wearing a Headband or hat after you smoke it

They look awesome! No shame in putting a build on hold when you got other things in the pot, it just gives you more time to plan the perfect layout :)

Dr. Purpur that is one beautiful gal you got there! I would love to see some pics of the buds if you happen to have any.

What's neville up to these days? Did he ever release his grail strain? I stopped posting on mrnice after he came back but before whatever went down over there.

I was fiddling around with my girlfriend's camera and I accidentally got a nice close up of an Neville's x Coastal Collision nugget to share with you guys. Nugget is from my last harvest around 4/20 so it's been curing for a while. The other picture is the current Neville's x Coastal Collision in bloom at day 41 along side a bottle of beer I was enjoying.

The F2 project is still going alright as far as I can tell. I may have ejaculated the pollen a bit prematurely, the calyxes that are seeded are splitting already and the seeds inside are still white. Hopefully they will mature correctly, but next time I'll hold off on the pollen until it starts growing calyxes large enough to accommodate such a big load.

Looks fantastic OGSHUSH, that CC/Nevs made my palms sweat! The only Nevs X I ran through to F2 was the Sour and the F2 version came out almost identical to the F1 version, hybrid vigor and all.I still have the whole Sour Nevs plant hanging in a paper bag with about 2000 seeds. It's behind my clothes dryer and I havn't made it to clean the seeds out only because I preferred the Sour BX smoke, well my friends did anyway.I liked both but I still didn't grow enough to really see the big picture.I won't be able to I guess until prohibition is over.I'd mortgage my life for a proper greenhouse and a permit to grow!! :artist:
I was buying a some beer yesterday and some college kids were buying a whole box of hard booze and cases of beer in front of me.What happened to them I can only guess but thinking that my cannabis is illegal when they can buy enough booze to drive into 100 trees miffed me a bit...:)Damme pot smokers, they drive too slow!!

The old Humboldt Daywrecker Diesel

Nice looking bud!

I'm shopping around for a greenhouse. I have a medical card and I like growing the exotic sativas because I like the effects better. The thrilling news is that a bill to legalize dispensaries has passed the house of representatives this week in Oregon. I'm really hoping it passes the senate. They see it as inevitable that it will eventually pass by initiative, so they want to preempt and have more control. I hate sticking my neck out and ordering online for seeds.

All the Best,

Thanks for the kind words, those F2s sound great slip, I'm really wondering what I'll end up with in my F2s. If a decent percent of female plants smelled like the mother I've got I'll be happy. Even people that don't like weed savor the smell. I go up north to visit my parents and I always bring a few ounces with me. This last time my dad commented on the fact that I didn't bring anything with me the last 4 or 5 times I've been up.

He's really uptight so he had no interest in checking it out, but I cracked a jar and asked if he could smell it. It was funny watching him mentally connect the dots. He said he could smell it every time I came to visit but he thought it was cologne. He also added that my mom could smell it too and she thought it was cologne as well and that she liked the smell too. These are the same people that made me take half a gram of shatter out to my car because it smelled so strongly it was making my dad sick.

Slip if you're seriously lookin' for a med state to settle down in, may I humbly suggest Michigan? If you can tolerate the long boring winters the rest of the year here is pretty nice. You get 12 plants per card and you can grow outdoors as long as the neighbors can't see it. Up to 72 total if you can find 5 patients. Only gay thing is you can't legally transfer medicine to another patient that isn't your own per the current ruling, but that will get sorted very soon I reckon.

I feel ya on the booze, I'm not much older than that age group and it's definitely a big part of the lifestyle. If you aren't a "bar star" then you're basically a hermit. I've never been happier being a hermit personally. I just picked up the local paper last week to discover a kid I went to school with was up on murder charges for hitting an elderly couple on his way home from the bar. It's fucked up to go on facebook and see people treating him like he's the victim of some terrible conspiracy to ruin his young life. :tumbleweed:

Oh man, last winter I was up at 1 am making coffee and I heard a big old crash.I live on a bend in the hwy and this young girl drove straight instead of turning and went over the guardrail and into a parking lot, upside down.I went over there and looked in the car and she was dead as a doornail. What I saw that night I will not soon forget. She was drunk as could be.Left 2 kids behind, one 7 one 2yrs old.
I'd move to Michigan in a minute if I wasn't addicted to saltwater and giant Bluefin.I've been working on this new boat for the last yr trying to be ready for August. This is my first boat big enough to take on tunas, I've been 1st mate for a long time, now I'm Captain:).Damme things run me in circles.I used to work with some old timers who went on vacation to the Upper Peninsula to fish lake trout. They loved it up there in late Sept.
I agree, the Nevilles in a cross with some of the great clone stock that goes around makes for some great perfume, it's not a gnarly skunk stank but a delicious incense, sweet something or other!!:blowbubbles:I'm really happy with it.You're lucky, my mom thinks cannabis is for devil worship.:tumbleweed:
