hey guys,
last week i was at my old spot 5 (the big one) and i discovered that it basically germinated itself. seedlings popping up everywhere. i turned the soil on 4/5 of the spot and left a little patch for the seedlings that i didnt stamp on.
it was very nice to see and amazed me once again how strong the cannabis plant is.
but thats not all.. im just back from the vegi garden where i saw a few (only 2-3 not 100 like at spot 5)... i left them for now. but in three weeks time my fellow vegi gardener is back from holidays and i dont think he would appreciate the weed plants shading the tomatoes etc. (he is a "muggel"/non grower/civillian :) ).

popped some pure Manitoba Medicine seeds the other day. about 5 of thc123's and about 20 of my own MMxMM cross. i am looking forward for some early buds in august.

before i left for the 420 i put some herijuannaxMMxMM seedlings on my balcony. they were under 17/7 indoors before. one male started to show big balls everywhere after just 5 days (no obvious signs of sex before i left), although he was a fast fcker, he had to go.

i am looking forward for a nice season. i am gonna pop seeds every other day from now on to summer time. this is one of my favorite times of the season. everyting starts to colour/green up and the warming sun is back. :dance013:

easy everyone :tiphat:

tonight i will bring out my first 3 boxes of plants and will transplant them straight into the ground. its mainly mirre x manitoba medicine but also a couple of:

+ my own crosses from 2012:

  • rocket chunk x a.gold,
  • herijuanna x manitoba medicine x manitoba medicine

+ others' crosses, that i have not grown outdoors:

  • SPG x manitoba medicine
  • silver princess mc jaggen
  • dela haze x pure power plant
there are more plants on the balcony waiting for action (will probably bring them out next week):

  • SPG x Agent Orange,
  • nedersaat indica x manitoba medicine
seedlings that have germinated and still remain indoors before they go to the balcony for a few days (where they get "fimmed" and than go out to the spots).

  • Trainwreck x Manitoba Medicine
  • Happy Brother x Manitoba Medicine
  • manitoba medicine (pure)
  • manitoba medicine x manitoba medicine (own cross)
  • herijuanna x manitoba medicine
  • first sativa (earth seeds, i had plenty of those last year but they all got eaten by deers)
seedlings that i have put into water for germination:

  • jamaican pearl
  • more of the manitoba medicine
  • ndb kasperfish (dunno the exact name of the strain i think thats the breeders name, was gifted to me, early northern strain apparently)
i need to stop germinating more seeds. now. at least for one week.

take care everyone :tiphat:

esbe,
yes germin seeds gives a great feelin. a shame i was a bit later this year (i would have preferred the plants to be a little bit bigger for now, when i am carrying them in the woods). i guess the cold had to do with it as well. but now it looks like we are back in business, weatherwise.

74G,
thanks man. all the ebst for you for this year as well! and many joints and heineken!

buddha watcha,
yeah the self germination on spot 5 is amazin. i havent been there for a while but those self popped plants were the hardest. already weeks ago when it still was cold they already stood strong with big hardy stems.

topbud,
sharing is caring. nice one! all the best for your season and for the black sheep. :tiphat: enjoy your HFH strains. have u got a place to check for pictures once in the season? alwas interesting.

carchofa:
jaman! diversity is the spice of live.

biosynthesis:
so we are running a small vineyard, about 20 tomatos, 30+ strawberries (nice field, get extended every year), salads, zucchini, pumpkins, carrots, a lot of chillies/hot peppers and plenty of herbs. also got a cherry tree (sour, the "schattenmorelle"-typ: harvest monster hehe)and a tiny peach tree. we also got "big" (for my country) banana trees but they dont yield real big bananas, only those tiny ones - size of a small finger.
i will try and make some pics of the legal garden for ya. the canna is only growing on balconies and guerilla gardens.

opiumo:
unfortunately there is an issue with me not having a decent digital camera at the moment. doh. :(

weather
the spring weather has been really bad so far. too cold to bring the ladies out earlier (or my fault: they were not big enough to stand the cold). so rain wouldn't bother them too much. last year they loved it (me too, since i never water the guerilla spots). this week we only go to 20°C very rarely. low pressure is on in my neck of the woods for another week.

never the less i am bringing out little seedlings every other day. its a mess since i tried to draw the strains per spot on little maps... chaos. luckily i still stick labeles next to them in the ground... once all plants are out i am going in the woods for the second round: pulling males and replacing them with other plants... but first i need to finish round 1: "bringing all seedlings to the spots"...

have a great season everyone, i hope to catch up with sharing my grow season :tiphat:

hey w89
i had big seedlings a month ago. but i bring them out as soon as they are bigger/i got time.
i am bringing out small plents these days since i am behind (the cold stunned all my plants for a few weeks). now we also got a flooding that temporarily killed my two best spots.. new strategy this year: many small plants, put close to each other rather than big trees like last year.
balcony... the only plants that do exceptionally well are the cherry tomatos on the balcony... the big tomatos in the garden are half that size ... :(

picture.php

pictured above, seedlings of:
SPG x MM
herijuanna x MM
special (real deal, oldschool) white widow x MM
warlock x MM
rocket chunk 2

the next batch of seeds is germinating in water right now:
MM x MM (eugen)
GDP x NL#5 (#4 dimodz)
SOUR x AO (catnip)
MM X SSH (eugen)

happy season everyone... the sun is back. 0 rain for the whole week. :tiphat:

basement grower,
i cant tell you... depends on the season. i guess 2m + are still doable depending on weather, soil and genetics.
basically the idea is to make the best out of each season. if that means bringing later smaller plants out due to a fucked up cold spring, so be it.
its a real shame that my two big spots (spot 5 and spot 6 from last year) are still flooded. makes this year even harder... but i was quite happy to see that those fckers are growing along nicely (more or less, considering that some only grow in native forest soil with little added ferts):

nettle tea
, this stuff stinks after a couple of days...

herijuannaxMM again, she seemed to have flowered and than go back again by the look: (3 fingered leafs and tings)

new spot A2 after supercropping, male pulled, clones from "lollipopping" usually end up in the ground and sometimes root...
picture.php

new spot A3 before: 3x mirre x manitoba medicine (nr 3. on the far right had to go, no space for males this year, for sure not):

spot A3: 2x mirre x mm after working them
