I gifted a few nugs to a coworker in the last 5 minutes of their shift, when they took the bag outa the cabinet it instantly reeked up the whole area in seconds. People are lovin' the Honey White.

I so enjoy coming to view this thread! Love the community vibe behind this line as well...truly what it is all about! Overgrow prohibition!

I agree with keeping a TRUE name to the lineage of something. It pays proper respect to the history and helps kept it in touch/perspective to origin / what it was.

I mean, it'd be like getting something called Tahoe99...we all know what that SHOULD be, but turns out it's skunk x big bud...lol. Gotta keep it in check and give folks a chance of keeping up With all the pollen flying and new gear coming out from every pore of society these days, or so it seems, NEW is plentiful. VERIFIABLE ... ahahahaha...

:respect:

if I did a new name on a couple of the hybrids it would definitely will pay homage to the Honey White and I'll still list the cross afterwards. I'm big on knowing WTF you're getting and it being 'as advertised'. Lost 6 months and thousands on some bunk genetics one time years ago :(

I get into it (naming) and try to have the name influenced by either the properties of the nug or the mom/pop plants. I could work Honey into a bunch of names, same goes for White (although that is less indicative of being Honey White rather than just 'The White').

I absolutely will keep the HW f2 female I got goin. I have a feeling this strain is gonna be popular.

on that note I kinda have been neglecting the revegging plants.

Time has flown by and most if not all of the plants have already got new revegged growth, one ECSD and one Tahoe have 6 inch spurts of new vegetation blastin out of the leftover nugs!
I'm very surprised by this (my first on purpose attempt of revegging :biglaugh: ) and hell within a month I might have some cuts to share :smoke:

I can't imagine HL being opposed to someone making beans with his Honey White. HL was one of, if not the first, to publically make a hybrid using The White. Although this was one of Kromes biggest fears( he didn't want Rez to get it) he supported HL 100% . A very stand up guy as is HL.
There were times when I couldn't tell the difference between long cured outdoor White from outdoor ecsd..They can have very similar tastes and smells, imo.Sounds like a great hybrid rasputin..

Can someone clarify the honeywhite bx2 makeup?

I thought it was...highend x (highend x (white x highend).....but am now thinking it to be white x (white x(white x highend).

It's only been B/C once to the White, so it's White X (White x Highend).

I'm growing out some HW crosses for fun this winter, will put them up when I flower 'em out in the new year.

Culled a few today, down to 4 Deep Chunk x HW and 10 Scream'n Dogs x HW.

CBF's Scream'n Dogs was the best herb I've personally grown, so I'm jacked! :D

Boy, I had a panic attack when I clicked on here and didn't see Chaco's pic that was leading this page off.
Glad to see someone else must have deleted their post(s).
Chaco's well-being was my concern, he has a knack for "situations", lol!
Anyway, glad that's not the case. Sometimes he goes on a haze jag, gets squirrel-y & 'noided and hits that 'delete' like a panic button.
:biglaugh:

nachilloo, welcome to ICMag!

Did you buy them or get them as freebies?

The White was crossed with Highend pollen and selections were made from the offspring.('High & Tri') Males from those were selected and crossed back to the White ( HW BX1)
I grew out 20+ plants from those and selected two males.
They in turn, were crossed to the White, and the results are the HW BX2's that SB has now. :D

Hope you'll want to share your results with us!

Cheers :tiphat:

theres the answer for you guys:wave: the honey white bx2 x sssdh should be interesting.

Thx abirdintheair.

Been too busy to figure it out via rereading the thread. Sorry for the confusion.
I'm prone to rattling cages, esp. my own.

Outer orbit, out of orbit, been hanging with Sun Ra, listening for the inner bell.

Back on terra firma, I wrestle with the changing times.
My state joined the ranks in approving the use of medical MJ this yr., the parameters of which are supposed to be set by spring. (yeah, right)

I have an illness that makes me legally eligible, and I will most likely get a card for it.
I will wait to see what the state comes up with as far as registering to grow, whether I want to comply to their rules or stay rogue. The penalties for getting caught w/ a grow will be harsher now unless you’re approved, something to consider.
So w/ that all in mind, I’m just running six plants to see how compliant I can be.
Couldn’t be happier with that decision, the ease of managing just six plants.
All six are from HW crosses I made two yrs. ago.

When I realized the ‘Queen Bee’ pheno was a bit special, I kept a HW male from the sexing cloner to help perpetuate her. In doing so, I also selectively pollinated branches on my two favorite Scream’n Dawg girls.
Also in that sexing cloner was a Deep Chunk girl that I didn’t run. The two DC girls I kept were your typical Uber DC phenos, but this 3rd gal was decidedly not.
As I’m told that DC crosses usually lean heavily to the DC side, I was looking for something that wouldn’t be overbearing w/ the DC traits. Seems to have worked out in that regard, but the truth is, the HW male used seems to have dominated everything it touched.

As I started back up in the fall of ’11, I was working w/ my Apollo lines, but I couldn’t help popping 10 seeds of the ‘Queen Bee’ f2’s. They all popped, were very uniform, but I couldn’t see much of any ‘QB’ in them. The two I kept turned out to be males and were culled.

Nov. 10th of last yr. I popped 30 Scream’n Dawg x HW and 20 DC x HW beans.
They were slowly culled down to 4 SC x HW and 2 DC x HW, kept in cups til sexed, then transplanted into 2 gal. Airpots right before the new yr.

All these seedlings/plants were very uniform, showing strong branching. The DC’s had smaller, rounder leaves, a shade darker green, but in form, they were all very similar.

Here’s some shots of the Scream’n Dawg mom, showing how lanky they were.

I projected similar results w/ this crop, but again, I have to say the HW male dominated here too. Plants averaged 14” when placed into flower, but the stretch was minimal, one plant @ 24”, most @ 22”.

These are being grown around a bare 600w MH hung vertically, and plants have been pruned and trained for this purpose. With the winter temps, I’m running a 2nd 600w horizontally, along w/ 3 LED fixtures totaling 420w. (I kid you not!)

Here’s what the DC’s look like @ 32 days:

Buds are a hair smaller than the SD plants, but for the low-yeilding DC’s, I’m quite happy. :D

Here’s the Scream’n Dawg crosses, #1 & #4 being my fav for girth and resin production.

Here's a gander @ the #4 bud
