Seemed like pretty standard fare......

I've got a pile of various 'standard fare' I'm gifted.....quite often in this game..if it's organic, and grown by someone who knows what 'organic' means...I'll at least smoke a puff before I dismiss it as ho-hum...most of the time it's ho-hum.
Once in a while I'll have my eyebrows raised.....

Yesterday I stumbled on an eMagazine from the Seattle area that was a lot of ads for clinics, had some strain reviews, etc. I can't remember the name but what amazed me is how different the deal in Washington was even before the ballot initiative from what constitutes a clinic in Oregon.

Not even close......

Quite a difference between Seattle and Olympia...I stay away from the hype..
It's still "High Times' culture in full swing. Until I don't hear the words flushing, cooking, spikes, botanicare, etc out here...I won't be participating too much in the public main stream cannabis community other than affecting the gene pool and calling out BS here in my thread on ICmag..

Correct

Now do this - hit Dr. Duke's Phytochemical and Ethnobotanical Databases

Enter an element you're wanting information for and in this database are those plants which accumulate higher numbers of the one you entered.

Try Calcium and see how much concern you should have about these mysterious and mythical Calcium deficiencies. Run a few more elements.

Once you find a plant that you can use, click on the botanical name and a list the major compounds as well as elements will be listed.

With good vermicompost Ca may never be a problem.

But...Ca is not just for the plant. Ca flocculates clay particles and opens up the soil. If it is not properly balanced against Mg then you end up without enough O2 in your soil and your microbes suffer. With drainage amendments this may be less important...ie the ratio can be lower.

But...get it out of balance and shit can go wrong in a heartbeat.

To me...the Ca:Mg ratio is the single biggest key to yield. I have experience all the way from a 2:1 ratio up to a 7:1 ratio. Somewhere around 4:1 the magic starts. Once I hit that level the ol 2 lbs per light became easy peasy regardless of strain.

So while I agree with you that Ca ain't that hard to get I also think that you ought to pay a whole lot of attention to getting enough. I no longer believe in NPK at all...but I damn sure believe in Carbon, Ca and P.

Shit. You guys aren't 'mainstream' ? I'm outta here.

Bunch of fuckin outlaws!

Someone's gotta do it~:ying:...not exactly a chosen path as much as it was the plant guiding me through olfactory and sensory rewards.

...oh,and also the fact that people honestly need quality medicine for real ailments that pharmaceuticals do not help with..

I think this was a eye opener for me. I will not take most prescribed medications specifically for minor pain types. MJ seems to work a majority of the time. I despise most pharma medications but that a different rant. :)

I am so with you on this. The Cherry Pies, the OGs, the Chems, etc...no denying they have good taste and look great in a bag. No denying a couple of hits and you are stoned...for 30 minutes or so and then nothing. No way is that serious medicine.

I am seriously bent towards pure sativas...but even if I wasn't there are better choices out there.

I mean jeezuz fuck! I'm smoking satty's that got me zipping through the stratosphere for HOURS...why....why....why on earth?

Get those satty's running through a no-till and yowzers!

It's just those pesky long ass flowering times...I know...trust me,I'm working on it.

The BO x NLH has flowering times in the mid 50's and a super chatty cerebral intellectual thing happening...pretty cool the sativa kept shining through on this one.

Do you have a guesstimate for flowering times on VR x NLH vs. BO x CB - These two varieties are up next to flower in these no-tills....
