I don't want to carry that shitthread over here, but all you need to look up is photosynthetic photon flux density, or ppfd, to understand why claims like that are scientifically impossible.
Granted, induction, or electrodless fluorescents, are a good spectrum, run cool, and have long life, it's not new technology though. In fact it was invented by tesla the same time the incandescent bulb was developed. Due to the long life though jp Morgan invested in the short life incandescent bulb assuring high profits on bulb replacement (1200 hour life vs 100,000)
History lesson aside, they are great for growers limited on space or cooling capacity, and with proper technique, ie high plant count sog, you can get them to yield, gpw wise, the same as hid's but it's not easy.
Plain and simple, there is a reason hid's are the standard for horticultural lighting.
Waiting on that update, take care
Think about exactly what you just posted... What does this tell you about HID's...
CMH are high PAR lights and I was running 400w and I did 1.25 lbs from 800w.
That's a far cry from 20 lbs per 1000w.
He started another with the permission of the mods.
I agree too many trolls in the last one, but the talking down bugged me. I don't like being talked to like a 2nd grader...
