CMH are high PAR lights and I was running 400w and I did 1.25 lbs from 800w.

That's a far cry from 20 lbs per 1000w.

Unspoken, I know for a fact I could replace one of my six's... I saw the par wattage and its more than a 600..

But indeed doesnt not quite best the 1k... Still, if he found a way to create the perfect light for the plants, then thats all that matters...

I don't want to carry that shitthread over here, but all you need to look up is photosynthetic photon flux density, or ppfd, to understand why claims like that are scientifically impossible.

Granted, induction, or electrodless fluorescents, are a good spectrum, run cool, and have long life, it's not new technology though. In fact it was invented by tesla the same time the incandescent bulb was developed. Due to the long life though jp Morgan invested in the short life incandescent bulb assuring high profits on bulb replacement (1200 hour life vs 100,000)

History lesson aside, they are great for growers limited on space or cooling capacity, and with proper technique, ie high plant count sog, you can get them to yield, gpw wise, the same as hid's but it's not easy.

Plain and simple, there is a reason hid's are the standard for horticultural lighting.

Waiting on that update, take care

Think about exactly what you just posted... What does this tell you about HID's...

Dont get me wrong, I got the two 600's going now, but Im always looking for a better source of light..

That the only reason we use them is there is nothing else to use.
Lets take a 4x8 area to cover. You gonna spent the thousands for LED? No
Plasma? No

Why? HPS and MH bulbs can be found anywhere.

Walk into any Home Depot and buy a bulb, any grow shop or online for ballasts...its only because they are commercially available.

Seems very....1980's to me...

The HPS wasn't built for growing lol...far from it. We use because we have limited options.

Well, I suppose that is the most obvious way of looking at it..

Im thinking a little more abstract..

Architect, you are talking ppfd, of which I understand... That tells me that the hid's are not able to produce enough light for the plant to take advantage of.. The low par wattage is the problem... And not only that, the par wattage available isnt encompassing enough of a variation in wavelenghts to produce at capacity..

Say this dude found a way to encompass that spectrum, with zero loss..

what are your thoughts?

That's a far cry from 20 lbs per 1000w.

I think as was stated, that even par wattage in the incorrect proportions of wavelengths is also counterproductive..(remember the first LED lights) Too much of one spectrum, but thats changing now with over 16 spectrums in some fixtures..

Not sure what the cmh par actually is, but it may not be enough..

Ive doubled down on my homework and between what the Architect is saying, and this other dude, I think he may not be full of shit..

Between the walls of his grow will be 6" of space, meaning this dude has every single bit of light going to foliage, with peak absorption taking place, a light mover is not only a good idea, but a requirement to cover the entirety of the plant.. Pruning for single cola formation will make this easier.. And we know we can pull the fans only increasing that penetration..

He may be on to something, and the technology may have a ways to go, but his attitude sucked ass. He had no business making that post claiming prior success, but refusing to show images from said prior grows...

Id say the attitude of most of the people in that thread sucked ass...

I spoke with him last night, and we talked for a good bit, very cordial, extremely intelligent, and I promise this dude is doing some next level shit..

When I asked him some technical shit, he answered as if I was in 2nd grade again.. I couldnt believe the shit he was saying.... But it made such beautiful sense.......

Ill be the first to say, Ill be a fool for having faith in this cat... Say he doesnt live up to his claims, no harm right...?

I agree too many trolls in the last one, but the talking down bugged me. I don't like being talked to like a 2nd grader...

Here`s the thing JBro.....What Heath taught me LOOOONG ago about the "science of repeatability" in that if Zodiac`s doin this shit as he says he`s doin this shit , then why won`t he come clean and give just the tidbits of grow pics before now.....and.....

EVERYFUCKINBODY oughta be able to run the same setup and get the same yields with said science stated above....

I made this post in his thread just now to warn ALL members bout travelin ta youtube from a weedsite even IF yas`re runnin a proxy server to "attempt" to be anonymous cuz ip addy`s ARE logged once yas leave Gypsy`s safe haven here , so.......word to the wise....

Ya`ll watch yer ass cuz LEO`s here every day watchin and waitin....bet on it.....and hey.....I`m sure dewd`s intelligent and articulate , but......You talked to him on a burner/throwaway phone right ?......

Please tell me you did , cuz at best with all I know about Jrosek and his history of bullshit , this guy could be LEO leadin lambs to the slaughter by causin folks to trust him from all his so-called knowledge and expertise , while.....

Doin nothing but logging info on the bigger growers to pick off like flies once their investigation is solid enough to get a judge ta sign an arrest warrant.....and God knows I hope this ain`t the case , but......

Ya`ll stay safe.......and take everything with a grain of salt......and JB.....I ain`t pissin in your koolaid......I`m tryin ta keep you safe cuz youre my boy.......and I assure you I hope this guy`s on the up and up so EVERYBODY can use less wattage and grow MORE dope.....

BST`s around , so if he by God `ll buy and replicate dewd`s setup AND pull them kindsa numbers , THEN and ONLY then will my old ass say that proof`s in da pudding.....and why ?......

Cuz I don`t trust Jrosek and this ploy , regardless of this puppet he`s got runnin his show , but.....I`ve always been paranoid and it kept me safe........

I`m hopin fer tha best but expecting the worst.....Ya`ll stay safe and trust NOONE.....

Peace.....Freds......:ying:......
