Good work on the fogger... but you could have put it outside the tent and vented the fog in on the intake. There's still time to fix it! :) Or just call it good enough...

Thinking out aloud. ..

..put the whole getup outside of the tent, .. Enclose the fogger itself, vent that into the tent..

Meh. I think that's about 4 steps ahead of where I am now. As it is, even with the whole getup in the veg tent, the fogger can't keep up with the rate at which the air is being exchanged..

I do have a largeish (16" x 6"?) passive intake on the flower cab. I oughtta button that up and see if that happens.

But again, for those scoring at home, the veg cab exhausts into the flower cab. Veg tent exhaust is full bore 170 CFM. Flower cab exhaust is 400 CFM, dialed back to about 1/3 strength.

Veg vol is about 35 cu ft, flower vol is about 70 sq ft. Exactish details a few posts back

Calling all ventilation detectives!

:thank you:

Oh. On a side-yet-related note, if the fogger doesn't work out, I think I'll change gears on the upgrade for now and get the veg set up with blumats. .. Outside the tent..

You crazy. Drop all the tinkering and keep it simple.

Go with bigger soil containers.

Foliar every day or so if the humidity is unusually low....

Use a mulch.

30% and above in flower? Why are you complaining? That seems legit to me!

Keep those pots moist and you should be good to rock.... as you have been run after run... like it ain't no damn thang.

What RH are you trying to get to mang?

yeah dude... there's a reason why people use hoods and tubes for cooling... Its easier to control temperature and humidity independently.

What's happening is your fog is sitting in one spot. You need a fan dispersing it. I should have mentioned this, but it slipped my mind. I ran into the same problem. I fixed it with a PC fan blowing the fog around.

Yes, I was suggesting you put the lid on that rubbermaid, cut a hole in the top and duct that into your veg. Watch the humidity rise.

Oh - not in those pictures, probably..

I have a small clip on fan hanging from the ceiling, blowing the fog right towards the exhaust (of the veg tent)..

I'm thinking now about exhausting from a closed rubbermaid into the veg..

Would the passive action from the exhaust fan be sufficient, or would i need to somehow power the fog into the veg tent?

..What's the material through which to carry the vapor from the enclosed rubbermaid into the veg? Flex ducting? PVC?

...What's the best way to seal that material onto the enclosed rubbermaid o' fog? (PVC seeming easier, obviously, for sealing purposes, but obviously not for everything else) :)

well honestly I kept mine in the tent... and I was blowing air into a tote with a pc fan, and pushing the fog out. I suppose you could do something like that but with flex duct? the thing is that the moisture will accumulate on the sides of the duct and drip... idk man, I don't have all the answers. lol... You've just gotta play with it. There should be no visible fog though because it's getting dispersed so fast.

You don't have all the answers? What a waste of time dude..

:)

I'm honestly thinking that between the volume (which is not much) and the airflow (which is maximum bitchin'), the fogger just plain can't keep up with the lights on.

And to your point, for sure about the drippage inside the tent. Today, it was fucking sweet, when it was mega humid in there, ..

..except for the condensation on the ceiling and the walls and beyond.. :D

Now, on the other hand, I'm fairly certain I could make do with the fogger in the flower room, .. But, for painfully obvious reasons now, that's not reasonable or safe. :)

wdi, whassat? Embrace the dryness? :D Might be..

Hey silver, close off the additional intake for the flower room, place fogger in flower, and connect it to light timer. Lights will prevent condensation and do a setup likebobblehead said. Hook it up in a totewith a small fane blowing air into tote through one hole forcing air out of a second hole in tote. Humidity will get where you want quick

Hey Silver! I was tryn ta axe you sum questions on the last page....

What is your flower tent humidity normally at?

I thought you said above 30%...

First off, I came to say.. FUCK YOU SNOW

Hey Silver! I was tryn ta axe you sum questions on the last page....

DOH! Sorry for missing that Holmes. Sometimes I get so wound up in being wound up [this time about the damned hum-didity)..

Anyhoo - very good question.

This time of year, it's 22-25%ish. If we have precipitation outside, maybe 30%?

Really sucks balls. In part, it's s'damned low because of the mega airflow (which can be dialed back), .. But also because it's all about 8" from a furnace.

With the fogger setup most recently, it was having zero considerable effect on the flower cab (30%, and it's been wet out), the veg tent was at 65% RH. And boooooy, were those ladies lovin' it! Looked so lush and green and fantastical.

Soooooooo.... In my brain, the next step is to enclose the fogger & its fog, and direct that fog into a space..

..The challenge is that I'm not terribly confident that producing the fog, keeping it contained in a box, and piping it in will be any more effective than producing the whole damned mess right in the spot.

Honestly, I think the best way to accomplish this task would be with the flower cab on a sort of "restricted" exhaust - with/through cooltubes, to get the heat out, while the ambient air could be on a separate gimmick.

I don't mind the cooltube approach, as I really only have 3 of 4 sides of a square with which to work, but ..

:dunno:

Sorry to miss the question initially MHG - but thanks for the persistence :)

I need to be more like canna kitty

Final haul on the stunted ND.. 77g.

Not too shabby, for a mid-flower freakout and subsequent extra 14 days to the finish, ..

I still like 101g better, though.

So how is the flowering going silver? Inquiring minds want to know! Lol

 Manoman, .. Too busy lately! Flowering is good. Nightmare Diesel looks to be an awesome little bush.

Golden Goat is doin' her thang, about halfway on her, .. I think the day count is 46 on the Nightmare, and 39 on the Goat.

I'll have to get photos for y'all in the next handful of days.

Whats that ND look like dried?

..that's something of which I'll also have to snap a picture or three. :)

:thank you::thank you:
