Matt Bryant goes Happy Gilmore for game winner.......

Matt Bryant goes Happy Gilmore for game winner.......

Bryant appeared on WCNN in Atlanta with the Rude Awakening to discuss all things related to his clutch kick, including the effects at attempts at icing the kicker by opposing coaches has upon him. But more importantly, Bryant explained what was going through his head moments before the ball was snapped and he stepped into the kick last weekend.

Bryant:
“I’ve tried to approach every kick the same way — the nerves, the emotion and everything else, it’s definitely there leading up to the game. For kickers, I think you have to be able to manage the situation, and once you step out across those white lines it’s kind of like a twilight zone and you go to a different place. You go somewhere else. It’s kind of like Happy Gilmore, you just try to go to a happy place.”

All the Brady nuthuggers are out again.
Ah, Happy Gilmore, brings back memories of when Sandler's movies were actually funny.
I don't think he's going "Tappity tap tap" when he kicks the ball, though,lol....

I don't think so man! ;)
At least I hope not!

no love lost twixt me & the Pats bro, a Jets fan since my first game in '66 or '67.

I'm quitting the Jets though & looking for a new team to root for but it ain't gonna be from the new england area. :comfort:

I hate the way Woody Johnson (what a friggin' name huh?) & Ryan have run it into the ground and basically benching Tebow for the season screwing his career somewhat.

I'm no Tebow fan but I resent what I saw them do to one of his prime years in the NFL.

Ryan is pathetic for thinking Sanchez will deliver playoff quality ever. Johnson's guaranteed that Sanchez & Ryan will be status quo no matter who he picks as GM the matter is considered closed. Just like Woody's drug addled mind.

I was a diehard fan, I STAYED when the Jets were down 30-7 @ the end of the 3rd quarter in the Monday Night Miracle game in oct 2000; I stayed because I've seen them tear up the Dolphins in the 4th Q way too many times to lose hope. The Jets won 40-37 in OT, the game ended around 1:30am.

so yeah, Baltimore.......

Being a football fan requires overlooking many things. Ryan's personal twists are too much for me.

Lol, kidding, just kidding. I'm speaking out of jealousy. Plus Brady has been outplayed in the playoffs since he won 3 in 4 years back almost a decade ago. He's always right there, just so close, but couldn't finish it out like before. Will he win another one before he retires? It's like Tiger Woods, if you had asked me 10 years ago would he finish with the most majors/championships, i would have said it's a given. Now, not so sure.
But keep posting your Patriots love, that's what this thread is for, dont let my douchy comments deter you...
If you're a Johnson from Johnson&Johnson, there's no shame in that, but having the first name Woody? Did his parents do that on purpose? Must have been rough for him in prep school...

Tebow was a Josh McDanials prodegy. In Bronco's Front office,,, - that was the kiss of death at the time - or so I thought. The long list of Josh McDimwit's screw-ups couldn't possible have a gold nugget in there. Could it?

Tebow - is many things,, near the top of the list is a,,,,, - I want to say DRAMA QUEEN, cause he loves the limelight and his fans are fanatics, which only makes it worse. Or better,,,,,.

He's also fun to watch, when given open reigns.

And the guy has heart. - Even after getting kicked like a stray dog.

But time and time again, I hear he has "issues", his mechanics are off and he really has a limited understanding of the game. He's been a pawn enough. And had the carrot on a stick, even behind Sanchez doing his impresion af the worst QB in the NFL.

Yeah,, he deserves a straight shot in a compettivive NFL team.

I'd love to see Vick get the boot and Tebow go to the Eagles.

I hate brady and bellichek truely do with every once of hate I can muster and I live in new england.....that said they are both the best at what they do.....to me it's gimmick foot ball..........they try to fool you and trick you and catch you off gaurd instead of trying to hit you in the mouth, they run into trouble when solid tough teams smack them in the mouth and do it from their base defence....the Pat's live to try to snap the ball while you make subsitutions and are very good at it........but when a tough D who just lines up and brings the heat and is not caught off gaurd or easily tricked comes around they usually beat the Pat's pretty easily.......I predict thats what they will see this weekend and I predict they will again fall to the hands of the team that plays foot ball instead of gimmick ball......

yeah, he deserves the chance to play; be judged on that and then either be ranked or replaced. he did just fine for the broncos but now his confidence has surely taken a beating, his next outings may be decisive as he either rises to the challenge or folds under the pressures of the skeptical scrutiny.......

Well, the Pats only lost 4 games by a total of 11 points.

One of those games was a 2 point loss, and 2 games were one point losses.

So please tell me just how easy it was, to beat the Pats. :tiphat:

Keep in mind how long they were without Hernandez and the best tight end in the game, Gronkowski.

Not saying they are invincible, but to say, that any team usually beats the Pats, and to say it's easy, is just stupid.
