The leaf yellowing , purple petioles , and somewhat of the variegation are indicative of the symptoms I experienced with clone only Chem D , so with that plant I`d suggest a cal/mag boost cuz she looks to be a hawg/whore fer tha juice........anyways......

Good luck.....Freds......:ying:......

I wonder if they need more cal/mag (or one or the other ) until end of stretch and then even less afterwards. If this is a different cut from what you ran before, disregard. Room looks great. Did you visit the lab?

I will do a foliar with some epsom tomorrow, that is if D9 doesn't come in and say "increase the feed" before then. In which case I will increase the feed because he has more experience with ppks and Jacks than anyone I know...:)

I need to get some fencing around the girls asap. Im a bit late if you cant tell by the picture. I will flip the big bushy plants when they are about a foot taller. Im hoping in about two weeks. I think that the room I just reloaded will be ready around the first week of feb.

and, right on schedule, here comes d9 with "increase your fuckin' feed"!

one look at the plant in the red container and it's obvious that the plant is pulling nitrogen like crazy from the lower leaves.

nitrogen. the most mobile element.

with jack's you can forget about P,K,Mg, and Ca as it's in perfect balance.

since it's in perfect balance you can run everything at all points of life at the perceived nitrogen needs of the plant.

you and i have similar shows. big plants in big containers. co2. only you have an even greater need for a higher ec as you run a lot more light than i do.

at this stage you should be running around an ec 2 for input. this will run slightly higher in the res but not too bad until about the end of the second week of stretch. then the solution strength will go sharply upwards as the plants needs change.

this is when to do a solution change out if you are going to do one.

this is when to go to ec 1.2-1.5.

but really, since nitrogen is depleted at such a high rate you can steer the existing solution downward with a weaker input and be fine.

there is a fine line between sufficient and insufficient nitrogen input at the point when the plant starts pulling nitrogen from older growth to feed new growth.

from an evolutionary standpoint it's simply a survival strategy that allows the plant to reach maturity and seed.

i think you can operate with some slight yellowing going on but it's dangerously close to costing you yield.

it's best to not let it occur at all.

why do you have a drip ring for dispersion? aren't you doing saturation pulsing yet?

Ok.....I`ll defer to the resident Jack`s nute specialist as well as the explanation sounding solid ......

Looks good HL.......Thanks for the info D9.......

Thanks D9! I appreciate the well explained post.

I will bump up the food.

I always thought that the lower leaves will naturally get eaten since they are out of direct light, therefor not producing any energy.

I havent switched to the saturation pulse yet.
I am not sure I have enough space to set up a couple surge tanks like you have. Space is pretty limited. On top of that I am still broke. Really broke. I cant buy anything yet. Still have to pay last months auto payment, and I borrowed a few k after loosing half the harvey.

Silver thanks bro, yes its the smaller model. I am going to get an ultra sonic though. This one works, but I like the ultrasonics better. I really need a big dehuey and its on the top of the list right now. Once I can start running higher humidity again I will have much bigger nuggz. I just cant keep up with lights off humidity at this point.

bobbles, Mister D and DHF, thanks I appreciate it. The wider top buckets kick ass.

I'll be anxious to see what you're able to do on the ultrasonic solution level. My challenge is not having to top the f*cker off, .. And you've got probably 10-15x the ft sq I do, so I'll be eagerly watching to see how you solve the riddle.. :D

The fogger you see has a float valve built into it. I just fill up a 20 gallon tote with ro. It ontop of the room so gravity does all the work.

For the future ultrasonic set up. Im gonna plumb my dehuey to drain into my huey. Gettogro already did it.

high life,
thanks for answering my questions. i have a sealed room also, not as big as yours though. i don't exchange air either and use a mini split and a dehumidifier and everything seems to be okay. but just recently i read an article that suggested exchanging the air between light periods as to avoid potential ethylene build up or something to that affect. it was an old thread from a guy named spurr that i found just searching around on this sight. i just looked for it but i'm really baked and can't focus enough to look any harder....wondering if you knew anything about this or any other potential benefits to exchanging air or not. kool grow!

I have heard this concern before. One crazy guy I know who has patents on space travel told me I had to dump all the air in my rooms or the plants would die of oxygen poisoning. I think if you were growing in a level 5 clean room that was completely air tight this might be a valid concern. My room is nowhere near that sealed. D9s might be though.
I think some people who use co2 generators dump the air in their room once a day to prevent carbon monoxide build up.

Got some great news tonight! My patient who has prostate cancer just told me that the tumor is receding, the VA doctors are speechless. His PSA went from 1900 to 400 ! ! All from a completely raw food diet and cannabis oil! I keep trying to get him to start a thread and share his experience. Hopefully with this good news he will be inspired. Another amazing thing that has happened is his vision is getting better. He had to buy new reading glasses because his old ones are too strong!! His mobility has increased as well. Raw food can change your life.

I swear these girls are significantly bigger overnight!

I guess I could fit some sort of surge tank under the top off res'... It's pretty tight already though.

Im doing a (mostly) raw vegan juice diet thingy too, swear by it. Never felt or looked better. No I don't have cancer or anything, but you don't need to be dying to decide to get healthier.

I would love to read first hand experiences from people that are beating cancer without the toxic chemo/radio "therapies" that are the mainstream solution atm. I would love to see a separate forum for that sort of thing so masses of people have a central place to come and share / read / believe. I too have clients that are cancer victims (meaning they are victims of the medical industry that "fixes" cancer) that have had huge life improvements through a humble little plant.

Well said Dave. I would love to see a section like that so we could read real stories from people. Now, I'm not one of those people who think cannabis oil can cure everything and anything but there really needs to be proper research done on the subject. Its really only in its infancy.

PS. Any good links for this raw vegan juice thingy dave? I could google but I ad say you have put in the research already. Thanks.
