I can't say what is typical of gas poisoning, but the appearance of your plants is highly unusual to me. They look like a fire went through there or something, ya know?

As for what plants I use, I look at what's growing well and looks healthy. I stay away from the bull thistle (aka motherfucker thistle), because its spines are as bad as cactus, and ants farm aphids on it. Otherwise, it's all fair game. You might want to do a search on stuff jaykush has posted on it, he's the one who's been guiding me for a few years on this stuff and encourages my experimentation.

they are ugly! that's for sure.

I've never seen anything like it either.... it's like all the deficiencies symptoms of every mobile and immobile nutrient, but it only effects the top half of three plants... I have a 60x-100x hand held scope, bugs and excrement are not visible. I have seen little milky pods... they look kinda like mite eggs... or glands w/o the trich.

last night they drank up a gallon of water each...

at least they're still thirsty

my fingers are crossed... hopefully, I won't need to channel the spirit of George Washington Carver.
( He used to heal plants... among many other things, supposedly he could bring a plant back from certain death... and when asked how he did it... he would say the plants simply spoke to him. The Man Who Talks With the Flowers)

I learned about George Washington Carver when I was a kid going to school in Shreveport. We all had to learn about him. He was a great inventor, too.

As for calcium oxalate--did you know that calcium oxalate crystals are the most common form of kidney (aka killme) stone? Some doctors tell you to not drink milk and cut out Ca, but that's not what prevents their formation. You must cut out foods high in oxalic acid (almost all my favorite foods).

I hope you get this thing figured out with the plants.

FIL and Jane Doe all trimmed up. they smoke like my last experience with northern lights. JD a little more pine. FIL has a beefy lung expansion and a creamy forest exhale. FIL is getting a few more rounds. Both have seeds to try.

Karma's gear is lemon kerosene paint thinner... and, more shiny... if that makes sense. the PP was frosty, and the FIL the most frosty. The sssdhxjack is just as frosty but, the crystals shine more. sparkle like a diamond compared to a crystal. the KG is a creeper, I was like holy shit, how did i get this high?

adding a second fan has helped a lot. the first round of cuts and stinky are flowering well. I kept them shorter this time too. we'll see how things progress this winter... have a few more cuts and some of stinky's relatives making their way out of the dugout.

meanwhile... some dirt porn.

landscaping water? is this like a special filtered tap just for your plants?... I have something like that. a whole house filter I modded to fit in between two garden hoses. I need a new filter replacement now though, they are $35 for the good one ( chlorine, chemicals, etc...) I need it though, I'm on city water. expensive, nasty city water.

Exactly the opposite. We also use an inexpensive whole-house filter and we would have to replace them every 1-2 weeks if we passed the water for irrigation through it. So it was bypassed and there's a separate line for irrigation/landscaping water needs. Therefore, it's 100% UNfiltered. The house gets the filtered water.

Well water. No added chemicals, but it's damn hard, full of iron, sometimes smells odd, and is chock FULL of carbonates.

it's just a ploy to get everyone on my friends list ;)

yea it's pretty cool. that shoot is the only one with the Tri showing. and I don't know if you can tell by looking at that picture but, that branch has two tops... and I didn't top it. it did that itself. I've probably started anywhere from 30-50 seeds of this cross and this is the first Tri-foliate I can recall seeing. pretty cool methinks.
