30 Days Into 12/12 Still No Budding?

Some sats are sparse yielders but yours might be a late bloomer. If I remember correctly, DGS Merlin's Magic didn't flower until 7 to 8 weeks of 12/12. Best wishes.

there are some people who flower from seed. ive seen the finished plants on threads but pretty sure they flowered quite soon.

they are flowering now tho, right?

Those pics were started from seed exactly 57 days ago, and yeah, in 12/12 for 41 days. I was thinking that with window a/c at nighttime dropping to low 60'sF and low 90s daytime temps with co2 cause slow bud production?

If you have absoulutely no light leaks then the only thing it can be is the plants were not mature enough yet to start budding since you are using seed. Next crop will start out much faster if using clones from those seeds. The only thing you can do is try your hardest to keep them the size you want and let them bud when they are ready. I am sure very soon they will start to take off - good luck and hope all goes well!

i dont know if your doin soil or hydro but i had a crop that never flowered because the nutes were too low. i kept the plants at 300 ppm because they looked the most healthy there and the plants never flowered. after 30 days or so i had to double the nutes than shortly after that they flowered. even though they didnt flower at 300 my plants showed no deficiencies what so ever it was very weird

I agree with DiscoBiscuit. I would say you got a very long flowering, like 90 day plant. What ive seen with hotter temps is bigger buds actually but with alot less resin. The hotter temp makes them absorb water alot faster which makes them grow faster, but end product is crap with heat. I dont think this is your problem, but i would try to get your high temp lower. I think Reserva's og could have a long flowering pheno.

I just checked my timer and it was 15 mins off the 12/12 flowering schedule. Could this be the cause for slow bud production or cause any problems?

no 15 min does nothing you can flower some strains with 14 hour light but even the smallest light leak will screw you. you could reduce the light to 11 or 10 hours on but first go in the room when it's dark and be sure you have no leaks.

I have the same og in veg and a og kush bag seed in flower ..the flower bag seed has Like 3 tiny flowers starting from the pistils but if I didn't see those I would assume. It's not flowering ..but it hasn't been in flower as long as urs ..I think the long flowering time + dense nuggs are gonna make flower start later and not as visible
Hope it works out for u

Btw they listed there flower time at 9-10 weeks my first run I had heat trouble but she went for 80 + days and grew huge ..it's leans to the sativa side

Was just checking the nighttime temperature and noticed the window a/c was lowering the temperature to the mid 50s and the dehumidifier would raise the temperature to the low 70s and the a/c set at 70 would lower the temperature again. Will the cold a/c blowing directly on the plants to the mid 50s and dehimidifier raising the temperature and the cold a/c air lowering the room temperature to mid 50s cause slow bud production?

cold temps def slowed my plants and reduced yields a significant deal. but the flowers still showed at the right time, clones, the buds were just slow to pack on any weight and the plants were stunted in growth.

I had a female seed black widow from seed that did not flower at all in 10 weeks of 12/12 after a 6 week veg, plus a haze leaning C99hybrid that flowered very little during that same time. The WW/BB and other C99hybrids flowered just fine. Shit happens when growing from seed, and sometimes it just doesn't work out well for the grower. Hopefully it's just one or two plants out of your grow.

stihgnobevoli, I feel this is a problem in my area so I going to just turn the a/c off when lights aren't on. Being its fall now here and at nighttime the temperatures seem to stay ok; just trying to troubleshoot the problems.

IME temps that low don't kill, but do shut down growth. That could possibly explain the lack of sexing.

I've decided to adjust my timer from the 12/12 flowering cycle to 10/14 schedule to induce the budding hormones in the plant. These plants are extreme sative (haze). OG Kush are s1 chemdawg '91 seeds. Here's some recent pics.

These plants have continued to either vegetate, or are very slowly flowering in 12/12. Using the hormone trick from 12/12 of the flowering schedule and changing it to 10/14 to induce the plants hormone to develop buds at a faster pace.

The breeder Steve Tucks youtube video "The True Origins of OG Kush" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvKl1XMpPE4. Explains how with this plant you have to use hormone tricks to get it to produce.

Hey growtechn

Ive done considerable research onthis issue t and ive found that 100% indicas and those with high amounts of indica will trigger into flower at 14.5 hrs and take 12-16 days before multiple sets of calyx/stamen sitesare observed.. As you increase the percentage of equatorial sativa into the strain, the lower the trigger and the the longer the response time.
Ive seen estimates that state that Og is a sativa and others claiming its indica foundings. I dont know what it is, but it clearly contains significant equatorial sativa becuase its taking beyond 12 days or so.

If i grow a strain that isnt in flower in 14 days, on the next run, i will start my dark period on 9 hrs for 8 days and then back to 12. It seems to kick start them and ive never had a herm.

On the first page he said he has one of those green lights on at night so he can work in there. I know those are sapossed to be safe for sleeping plants but i would try with out it and see if that was the problem.
