I grow a10'x5'x6' area with 3-600's (1800w) and my personal best is 3lbs-2oz and that area was packed with a strain that had huge dense buds. I use a quicker finishing strain that I like better that doesn't produce as much weight per run but when you look at the annual weight produced the quicker variety takes the cake.

I can't beat 2 pounds per 1000 no matter what strain I try. I grow vertical tree style, but don't use Co2 and seem to always be short a plant, so there is room for improvement. I just have to learn to make more clones than I need. But 2 per 1000 is by best number to date.

I'm to damn old and seen to many damn wrong and or right things to say nothing in this world is impossible BUT imho a well dialed FULLY loaded vert system would be the only way for those kind of numbers.

Trees are nice but require longer veg times and well if they big lot's of light. I've seen indoor 3 lbs trees in here long ago but Teresa doesn't post much any more and Heath has done some amazing things over the years as well.

Also if you are worried about plant count again imho a vert system with only 1 1000 light would require a HUGE amount of clones for 3 lbs and I'll take a bucket of tress and keep the plant count lower any day of the week when you standing in front of the judge trying to plead your case.

oh trust me my old friend
that advice is priceless
and worked for me :)

im hitting around 2 per light in my vert setup which i know for a fact can still be improved. i mostly run a heavy yielding 14 weeker haze hybrid. is 3 pounds possible? no way...maybe with training etc. i bet i could hit 2.2 - 2.3. i do use larger (3-5 gallon) buckets and veg out large plants. i rotate the plants regularly and do very little trimming and no training. i like to keep it simple and easy.

Maybe I suck at growing, but I think 2 lbs per 1k is stellar! And yeah, we could all tweak it here and there and get couple more oz out of it, or less. Hate when that happens.

My latest pull over 3 lbs:

It's not easy by any stretch. You need:

A great strain
completely dialed in system
commitment to daily work with the plants
a bit of luck

My methods are about as anti-KISS as you can get. My normal yield for production runs is 2 - 2.5 lbs/K with "normal" strains.

Latest 2 Lb run:

There are lots of folks capable of 3 Lbs. Vert has the best chance, but flat growers can give em a run with the right setup and strain.

I firmly believe anyone can do this, as long as they have the knowledge and are willing to work daily to make it so.

Don't give up - just keep making incremental improvements and learn as much as possible from every run.

Best of Luck to you and everyone in their quest!

I have pulled 3lb off a 2 plant med man mft, no CO2 30days veg. If anyone has used this system you know this is not bs. 34 oz off my rvl sck x gc cross and just under an elbow off of a kubbas bush. 1k MH. Ionic nutes, lots of fresh air. Big bud liquid during fattening. I love the vert growers above.

Averaging 2.50 with OG. 16 girls per light. My buddy does 3 packs per light in hugos. He does only headband, he is also in 13th year of same strain and medium. His main thing is - more space, more light. He doesnt pack his in there like I do.

Its a dialed in thing..comes with experience.

Sorry- grow outdoors yearly- no possible way to get 4lb, let alone 3 from a 1k. Had several 5-6 lb plants this summer OD. They are huge,HUGE- much bigger than the spread on a single 1k. Also, Length of time in veg and flower has to be a factor.... A 6 week strain and 10 week strain makes all the difference in yield, cost, product. The product is the important part- who gives a fuck about the yield- I'll take a pound of killer dank than three or four of mids.
