Querkle x Chemdog Sour Diesel

I'm growing 21 Querkle x CDSD. Hopefully I will find a keeper female out of these. They are already very stinky in veg. Half of them are from a diesely/hashy/berry querkle female, and the other half are from a sour grape skittles smell/tasting querkle.

The ones in pots are c+ x cdsd mothers that I have on standby in case I get a really bad m/f ratio and need to fill up some space. As long as I get around half females they are going in the compost pile.

I am using a 1000w hortilux. Seeds were started in rw cubes and transplanted to pure coco. 21 of 21 seeds popped and are now plants. Feeding GH flora at a 6/9 ratio with cx hydro regen-a-root. They will get transplanted from the cups to 2 gal pots in 3 days, then I'll give them a week or so to get settled in the new pots before I flip them. When I say a week or so, basically I mean until their growth picks up again after transplant. Not growing monster bushes this time, just selecting a mother. Also, as this is a test grow, and the cdsd stretched and the querkle does not, I don't know how these are going to act stretch wise. probably a mix. Clones have been taken of everything.

It has been 55 Days since I put these seeds into a shot glass to sprout. They've all been topped once.

Good luck on finding a keeper, sounds like another great mix you've got going.

I like your choice of bulb, too. Just my preference, but I think the plants appreciate a little extra blue in the spectrum.

Cartman, me too, love the querkle. I've always used the hortis for HPS. The only other flowering bulb I've used is a warm metal halide, which kept them very happy too.

Alone, that's exactly what I'm going for. Potency is important, but flavor is just as important if not more to me.

Ive always wondered what the roadkillskunk/gasoline/deisel ECSD mom I used to have, would add to BCBD Purps.
I crossed it with Centennial Seed Co's 21 = (Cent Cut Blueberry x SweetTooth) instead, and have always regreted not crossing her with a Purps male.

Do you think the C+ x CDSD will be better than the parents? Mainly, better than the C+?

Dude your cross still sounds tasty. I used to grow Swt #3 from Sol. Just got some F2 seed of that, but don't think I'm going to pop them any time soon. I have Bay 11, GDP, Fire OG Bx, Sour Bubble, and Oger99 to get through first.

You know, I feel like the cross would be better than c+, but I only grew one pheno of it, the pheno wasn't selected by me, and I didn't personally like it better. Someone else might. It was more potent for sure, but what I liked about the C+ was the flavor, and it didn't come through for me in the pheno I grew. I know there would be keepers if I went through the seed like I am with this cross.

What sucks for me is that I only got 1 fem seed of C+ so whatever it is it is. Im stuck with it. So far it is growing short, topped 2x so I got 6 branches on it total that are ready to cut and root, along with a BlueSharkTooth that has 10 branches ready to cut and root.
The C+ stem, when rubbed, smells strong and skunky so I dont know if thats a good sign.

My BlueSharkTooth was the only seed I could salvage off a GWS I used in a closet pollin-chuck that over pollinated her. I used the 21 male to pollinate the Great White Shark female and got 1 seed that wasnt white and immature. Its a female so Im really happy.
It has very nice vigor and I topped it twice and its 2x as big as the C+ in veg.

thats luck .. 1 seeed 1 female.. good for u dude . hope it comes out great.. !!! its tough working with single seeds.. especially cause if the thing decides to hermi ur screwed.. but anyways.. there are mad clones going threw mass ct and rhode island right now.. lots of good strains for good prices if u know the right people.. it just sucks when u do a full grow and end up with something thats eh not so great.. but thats y i run 1 of each see whats best mother it and go .. at the moment i just got set up .. and ill be making a bunch of crosses.. with a pure afghan male... and then the next project will be the some kandykush x skunk male .. we got 20 clones getting hit ill get a list up soon just too much to do wen setting up all the new rooms and shit.. the seed box was a bitch.. but atleast the clones are going to be hit soon ..

Good luck Live2Gro! Wish I had access to clones, but I have to stick with the best I can find from seed. That being said I really enjoy making seed and pheno hunting. Just wish I could get my hands on a few of the clone onlys like ECSD, GSC, and pre-98 bubba. Sigh.

Alone, I got 2 phenos out of c+. One was short with tight inter-nodal spacing, and the other was more lanky. The tight one was a heavy yielder (donkey dick type buds) with imo lower quality smoke than the branchy one(golf ball type nugs), but they both looked pretty similar until they went into flower. Neither pheno was bad. Maybe you could self the bluesharktooth female you got if you can't make that cross again.

I got half of them repotted into 1 gal pots (half of my 2 gals got up and walked off?) Will transplant the rest tonight and try to get pictures up soon of some of the different phenos.

Here they are a couple days after transplant

They are looking a little droopy in that second pic. I took it about 30 mins after soaking them. Wanted to wait until morning when they would be looking happier, but won't have time to update then. Sorry for the pic quality, I will get shots without the HPS on when they go into flowering here in the next couple days. They all have alternating nodes, but no pre flowers yet, so I'm just going to flip the switch and sort them out.

What a difference 10 days under the 1000w makes! Looking back at them in the cups to now. My table is overgrown.

how many days total have you vegged? seems like around day 30 i started to get preflowers mostly males though..... but now the females are coming out.... currently have 15 fems... ( 1 larry og didn't make the transplant....

What node did you top at ?

everything is looking good though.... seems like they exploded after the transplant.. hope mine do the same...

I popped the seeds about 8 1/2 weeks ago. They were under a T5 fixture(it's 2 ft 4 bulb) the whole time until the c+ x cdsd finished. I topped at the 4th node. They have some preflowers starting to show, but I don't want to wait to know for sure, I'm just going to get this show on the road because if I veg too much longer and get a lot of females I'm going to have to ditch the table and go with 3-5 gal pots in saucers hand watered. I'd like to avoid that. When I get them all sexed I will hook the drippers up. Keep in mind mine went from half strength to full strength nutes, transplanted, and went from t5s to a 1000w all at the same time.

ahhhh.. okay... seems like we gonna be harvesting around the same time... Them plants a gonna love that 1000 hps.... mine be under them since day 1, and have some plants almost pushing 2ft ...........

Yeah I had them under the t5 to stall them out and buy me some time and space. I also chopped mine in half when I topped. I have a couple more 1000s and a 600, and I'm working on a veg room, but I haven't had much time lately. I need to get my oger99 and sour bubs under a 600 and free up the t5 for popping some fire og bx, GDP, and bay 11. I also got some freebies of cheese candy, Afghan kush special, pakistan valley landrace, and reserva og kush all feminized, but I'm probably going to just throw those in storage for now.

I'm really looking forward to watching your grow progress man. You have a bunch of good stuff going on over there.

So I just checked my ph and ec of my coco two ways. First I did the pour through method with distilled water. Results were 3.3 ec and 5.7 ph. Next, I did the 1:1.5 method canna suggests. Results were 2.1 ec with 5.8 ph. I am feeding 1.8 ec in phed to 5.8. I will probably back down to 1.6 ec starting tomorrow until they start flowering. I bumped it up to 1.8 ec because they were looking fairly deficient in p and mg at 1.4 ec. These seem to be kind of heavy feeders because they are looking great right now.
