Whether that statement is true or not, it doesn't matter. What does matter now is that we live in a country where if you want something, you must pay for it. Why should they give you something for free? I understand that you are in a tough situation, but why does that anger have to be directed at someone who is trying to build their own business or someone who is looking at the bottom line. At the end of the day, no one is in business to become poor. And if you are on this website, you understand that there is a lot more work that goes into a grow than just adding water and light.

Greed has not hurt or helped the medical industry, only legalization will settle that dispute. Your either growing illegally or your not. Where it ends up is any body's business. You make a blanket statement like everybody knows that you can make big money growing pot, and you can if you are illegal. Start paying business loans and taxes and the reality is a lot different. Yeah there is a gray market, but it only exists as long as marijuana is illegal. Part of the risk in growing is that it is illegal. This fact equals $.

Couldn't have said it better myself...

everyone who thinks its easy to grow "Top Shelf" cannabis, is sorely mistaken. it takes a lot of fucking skill to grow the best of the best...and that is truly what one pays for, is the knowledge that we the growers have gained through out the trials and tribulations we've endured over the years...

I derive great benefit from some of my "collectivist" associations. So I would not say "fuck collectivism on all fronts."

Just as i would say that because I derive great benefit from capitalist structures in my life...

Like most things, economic solutions for huge populations are not black or white. A bit from column A and a bit from column B are much more likely to work.

Chase, while it's commendable that you donate the trim from your one light operation, unbeknownst to you many large scale growers do the same and more. The difference is that their donations are much much larger and moreso, CONSISTENT and dependable sources of free medication for the needy. Not some fly by night maybe-it'll-happen one-off from little guys who switch 1 bedroom apartments every 4 months to take advantage of move-in specials. This is one of the benefits of cannabis coming from REAL businesses, run by real people, who, alonside their motive to make a living and send their kids to college, feel a responsibility to provide quality with consistency.

While you plan your big 1 light move to Socal, I'll just keep dropping pounds on the needy. Round after round, year after year.

First thought. There are no such thing as "collectivist" associations. Either it is a free association (such as ICmag) or it is a forced collectivism (such as registering with "selective services").

You derive benefit from being a trader, but capitalism is not practiced in the USA and contraband is not the best example of a capitalist structure.

Drop tons on the world and let god sort it out, that is my thought on overgrowing. Pick winners and losers if you will.

Changes coming

Changes coming

I had a conversation with fellow long time grower I work with today. He has been growing giant plants for decades. Anyway, the subject that came up right after we discussed this years plants, was the federal Gov. I was surprised that he had the same feelings as I have for the last few months.

Feds behavior toward all dispenseries recently is despicable. We both believe that there is going to be a major crack down on legal growers within the next couple of months. They feel the pressure of their lost battle and are ready to push back with excessive force as they always do. I hope we are just paranoid and wrong.

Feds behavior towards humanity is despicable. Who wakes up every day hunting for prisoners to throw into a cage for a 5 year minimum. But, a major crackdown is a tsunami waiting. See they went from SD to SF/NOR CAL now down to LA. Possibly their agenda was start in the smaller beach border towns. test the waters. Move through the north and hit all the big timers. Then on through the 100 something retails in the LA area. With enough time to let the election momentum build. What I'm getting to is they probably were just testing California 1st and the political backlash. See how the people, patients, community react. Feds trump the States. It's either they sit back & watch states 1 by 1 turn medical OR Say mmmmm yea fuck that. We're using our alphabet friends and pissing on your parade. Well if MJ goes legal the dea is due for that oh so long LAY OFF. 1/2 the agency sound about right, right?? Judging by their actions I'm keeping an umbrella close by because I see black clouds forming.:lightning:

you guys seem to have no clue how giant norcal is, how remote the gardens are, and how NOT FAR cannabis pollen travels. you would literally have to set off thousands of giant pollen bombs to have any affect whatsoever on the crops here. They are tucked away in every corner of this giant state.

THAK GOD Alex Jones doesn't publicly smoke pot!

I can hear it now...

all this latest news does make you wonder what's gonna happen next? i'm sure the feds will not give in to legalization without a big fight. the only chance med cannabis has is the general opinion in the population. if we retain sympathy they can't go all out without paying a price in elections. if we are seen as villains by the general public the feds will hit the scene all out on all fronts. i see potential great danger for the pioneers in the medical cannabis production who have gone on the grid.
