Update time :hello:

After 2 lovely weeks on holiday basking in the sun I arrived back in Ireland to e greeted by 5c temps and hail storms, neighbours tell me it was rubbish these past few weeks and so do my poor plants.

^ nice ariel pic of london flying home.

Plant are not such a pretty sight, we had frosts while I was away and some damage was done, Danish Gold and one of my own cross took most of the damage and a few of the second batch were destroyed by caterpillars.

^ My cross

The second patch and the few planted in the ground escaped any frost damage as they are a bit more sheltered but growth was a bit of a disappointment.

^ mixed bunch of HP & HP2 from the second batch

The little Biddy Early that got accidently knocked up by a HP2 is giving birth, should get 30-40 seeds to play with next year.

All the rain has been good for my veg garden, the peas have gotten out of control tho.

 Brother Esben, always a good day when you swing by :tiphat:

I was thinking the same myself yesterday that the plants will flower soon.

Structure of the plants seems to be changing and they are starting to smell a bit more.
I'm toying with the idea of germing a few of those biddy x hp2 seeds for a late harvest in the green house, it would be nice to see if they are of any use to me next year.

Rain and grey skies again today...time for the grey mould prevention measures me thinks :(

Ah I was wondering where you got to...

Well bro what I could see in the ten days in Poland is that you guys have a fecking great climate to grow herb in, so much sun and just the right amount of rain :)

Truth be known I'm seriously thinking of to Poland in a few years, been looking at land to buy and it's crazy cheap for a few acres in the country.

Danish Gold plants have started flowering, I was hoping for a few more weeks to veg but they are quite determined.

Ah it's just about not too late, today is the summer solstice so the daylight hours will be getting shorter from now on but you will still get a decent plant if the weather gives us a break and we get a few weeks of sun.

Happy solstice all and may your lands be blessed on this night :tiphat:

Update for the week.

Semi-final selection has taken place and a fair few plants became compost, here's what i'm keeping.
005-4.jpg

^ the 4 from the first batch

007-3.jpg

^ the 6 in the large pots, the other 3 in the small pots i'll plant in a field and forget about.

006-5.jpg

^ 2 reveg plants, the small one is my own cross, my friend gave 12/12 to for a week or so indoors.
Bigger plant is the biddy early that accidently got knocked up by the hp2 male, she popped about 20 brown seeds before she started to reveg.

002-6.jpg

^The little auto and the 2 of my cross planted in the soil are also being kept.

Safe and happy growing friends :hello:

^ here's a strange one, Danish Golds are sprouting extra blades on the shade leaves.
i've seen plenty of plants do this but it's a bit unusual for this to happen as they make the switch to flowering.

Hi cookie, looking great! The plants are doing good, I'll get some snaps as soon as I get my cam back, all this rain is a nightmare, I had myself half convinced that we were going to get some decent weather this year. :sigh: Cool mutation Cookie, have you grown DG before?

C

COOKIE MONSTER

Glad to hear they are doing good n looking forward to pics.

First year growing DG, sure wont be the last tho.....any strain I can start in march, stays in veg and flowers by late june is a keeper for sure.

Warm weather wont last.

By the looks of things we're back to our usual shitty grey and wet summers.

I'm going to train the flowering plants tomorrow to increase airflow between branches and start my botrytis regime early.
Tomorrow the whole garden is being cleared of dead or dying plant material and sprayed with serenade.
