2 weeks from harvest PM issues

Hempluvr, eagle20 is POISON!!!!! Plain and simple. Read the label, it contains "myclobutanil" which causes developmental/reproductive problems, birth defects and is an endocrine disruptor. This means that you breathing it in, getting it on your skin, smoking it on your buds, any type of exposure to it can cause you and possibly any kids you have later, serious problems. Not only that, it is toxic to birds, environmentally mobile, and accumulates in the ground. Which means you are poisoning others by using it also.

In a two-generation study on rats over the effects of myclobutanil on reproduction, researchers found a decrease in pup weight gain, increased incidence of stillborns, and atrophy of the testes and prostate
Chronic toxicity tests on rats found decreased body weight and changes to brain and spleen weight, in addition to reproductive effects
Both according to EPA studies.

And in case you missed that part of the quote, "atrophy of the testes", it means it makes your balls shrink!

Not something I want to be smoking....how is it that the chemicals magically vanish from the tissue of the plant because you stop using it in flower? Unlikely. The plant shares the same vascular and root system with the old tissue as it does the new.

"Time to get up honey and do a hot-squat!"

"On the glass coffee table again?"

"No - on the plants in the basement. I'm fighting powdery mildew!"

"Good thing you're not dealing with the heartbreak of psoriasis like last summer!"

Fun times indeed.

"You mean you want me to piss on the plants?"

"Well sure, they're only in veg!"

is it okay to continue foliar with silica after flower development has started?

No I wouldnt continue use of any silicate, especially as a foliar, past wk4. but hey thats just me preferring smooth smoke.

yeah, whenever i see it develop its usually after periods of drought - it also seems more prevalent on plants that have been grown in rich compost before being planted...

im lucky enough to have never seen pm on a cannabis plant, but see it on lots of other plants. extra watering when it's been dry a while seems to prevent it on most garden plants.

one more thing - PM spores have a high water content which (unusually for a fungus) allow it to infect plants when its quite dry. good circulation and extraction can discourage the spores from settling on the plants in the first place..

VG

Nailed it. Its the wet/dry swing. People don't realize that grow environments that are too dry are leaving plants susceptible to PM. Being in the ideal VPD is what will keep plants healthy, but thats a whole other subject. I found the only times I got pm were overly dry plants. I had to raise humidity to get things in check.

And by the time you SEE spores- they are already everywhere.

PM is never 'gone' - that's a physical impossibility. Some things are an immutable fact.

Even in the weird science world of growing cannabis.

Word. I would suggest using something like Actinovate or simply the milk thing til harvest (i use a 1:10 ratio). Then using a fungaflor bomb on the room between runs.

Stoney, NOTHING, organic or synthetic will kill PM for good. Not even your nasty Eagle20 nut shrinking poison!!! But there are lots of organic solutions for controlling PM without risking your balls shrinking, or having kids later with birth defects. What part of POISON are people not understanding. I would think that will all the easy access to information in this modern technological world, people would actually take the time to do a little research on the things they use.
For instance, all you people extolling the virtues of Eagle20, any of you using it indoors? Did you know that it can create a dust in the room which is explosive? Yeah, so not only are you shrinking your f*cking balls, you're risking blowing yourselves and possibly others up.

holy shit some of you guys are pretty extreme....so now a eagle20 spray 10 weeks before the nugs are even chopped will make your nuts shrink...

yeaaaaaah right.....if your sprayin eagle 20 every week and you are eating your fan leaves, maybe i can see bad side effects...

a simple e20 bath before flipping, followed by a nice rinse or two with plain water or an organic fungicide is not gonna shrink your balls lol...

Yes4, look up the EPA studies on myclobutanil, the main ingredient in Eagle20. It has been shown to cause atropy of the testes in rats during studies. So you feel free to take the risk if you want, but maybe it's just me, but my balls are too precious to gamble with something like that. And in case you didn't know, atrophy means "the partial or complete wasting away of a body part"

in those studies they douse the study animals with extreme doses....

i would never spray actual buds with e20...and now that i know about the atrophy part im definately gonna be a little more careful around that bottle lol....no more sniffing and huffing out of it to get high (jk lol)...

someone needs to do some scientific tests on nugs grown from plants given a e20 spray in veg, weeks before the nugs ever even form, and see if there are even traces of the myclobutanil in the nug....conventional thoght would say the element gets flushed out like more other things...the plant isnt using any of that to make the nug. until i see those tests im not convinced....is it even possible to test for trace elements?

edit: now that i think about it..my balls have been mad sore lately, fuck it must be the eagle. or maybe i havent been fucking enough and im blueballed..

From the liner notes of Jefferson Airplane's Long John Silver (1972) is this gem:

"I don't care if my lettuce has DDT on it as long as it's crisp!"

A more modern rephrasing of that concept might be as follows:

"I don't care of I lose my testicles as long as my buds are dank!"

This pesticide has been studied plenty, and is not approved for growing food.

Further, you seem to feel that unless you can prove it isn't safe, then it must be safe.

What is the opposite of the precautionary principle?

Modern Americans don't care about being exposed to chemicals that are harmful until they are laid up shitting their liver and kidneys out begging to Jesus for another chance.
It's pretty typical behavior involving the "if I can't see it it's not there" principal...and it's highly effective.
I'm an American Gawd Dammit! If I'm just a run-o-the mill Joe paying bills, drinking beer, trying to get laid, and getting stoned all day on potent weed...(chemy or not) why would I care about concerns for personal and environmental safety.

It's those of us with kids who remind ourselves that THIS toxic Earth is what we are leaving behind for them.... which makes a person's lifestyle who gives a shit....change. (Oh and the smoke is better...the whole universe knows that..no point in arguing if the sky is blue or not,we know it's blue.)

Love all you guys fighting the ORGANIC fight...funny as fuck really...If clackamas coot tells me it aint organic I aint using it period.

Eagle20 seems to me like this...you need to take a shit right....so you put the seat down...cuz ya need a place to put your feet...then ya take a dump right in the rez...every time ya flush the water only gets shittier eventually it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I smoke cigarettes, drink, eat shitty cheeseburgers and I grow lettuce just to feed my worms.
I REFUSE to smoke weed that isn't ORGANIC. My life is gonna be way to short for that.

god damn you guys could probably convey your organic message a little better without all the snide and sarcastic remarks....of course organic is better, but no need to sound off like an arrogant prick and make jokes...

just bought some SNS17 to replace floramite, main ingrediant rosemary oil...looking for alternatives so i can cut back on the 20...but seriously ONE FUCKING SPRAY IN VEG IS NOT GOING TO MELT YOUR NUTS OFF.....enough of the fear mongering, we arent drinking the stuff or using it as our childrens shampoo!!!

my bud still comes out smelling and tasting just like most organic bud, id be willing to send samples to a lab to test for trace elements of nut melter ingredient...does steep hill in CA do that?

Have you considered installing a bidet in 'the facilities' at your home?

Look what it did for Mike at Advanced Nutrients - see his Wet Betty label for details.
