Damn, this seems to be the same thing with white widow. You see a bunch of crappy white widow go around and then you will hear about how White Widow was one of the greatest strains ever by someone else.
I hope I can try some of this funky Sensi Star some day. All I have seen has been boo boo.

the best white widow that i had was from breeder Steve in Vancouver around '96 i believe.
i lost that strain many moons ago. have seen many white widows since, but nothing comes close....
very musky smelling, its the only way to describe the smell.....
I just finished some Sensi Star and all I can say is WOW!!!! The taste is metallic lemons. Flowering time was 70 days(could have been taken @ 60 days) I only popped 3 beans and have 7 left. This plant was from regular beans. Sorry I don`t have any pics of her later in flowering

Why does everyone love sensi star so much?
But I have tried 4 different kinds of Sensi Star in the past year....
I have been unimpressed all times. Both with the taste and high. if I had not been told it was sensi star.... I could have mistaken it for any run of the mill commercial strain.
Maybe I just have not had a good pheno, or had one that was grown properly.....
Or maybe it is just not the strain for me??
I hope nobody takes this the wrong way. I just had to put it out there, to see if it it just me........

Somebody has fed you a pile of shit Milo. Ive been growing sensi star since 2000 - well over 30 packs of regular seeds. I have seen and grown all 5 pheno's several times and anybody that even suggest there are "bad" ones has never grown it and is full of crap.
Ive grown probably 60-70 indica strains and there arent any on the retail market that compares to sensi star. Either they lied to you or the grower was a newb that destroyed the potency with weak lighting and high nitrogen. Black domina, Sour bubble, Herijuana... these strains arent even comparable to SS.
Every pack of regular seeds has 5 excellent females and 1 ass kicking, head sweating whoop ass pheno that will send the weekend smoker off to the hospital with fears of overdose after 1 toke
Buy a pack and grow them out well.

Id also agree with the above, Ive never had or knew of someone who had a "bad" pheno of SS, it all depends on the grower though cuz I also dont know any scrubs when it comes to horticulture. Good genetics will never make up for poor growing.

only reason i'd never grow sensi star...is cuz of the stench...man does it reek....but it is a great strain!

Well said! SS is underrated and needs to be grown out right. I am surely making f2s and exploring the gennetic diversity of this strain.....5 diff phenos...OH BOY! I've only seen the one above and 2 males. Lots to look forward to. Thanks for sharing that info.

Its in the genes somewhere. Any good old grower will carefully grow all sensi star beans and crosses they come across hoping to find something like the ogre.
With an endless amount of hybrids choose from i will always choose something with sensi star in the genes. The truth is out there. Fuck that, THE OGRE IS OUT THERE!
Edit: Just quitely i have some Lemon Stinky (Sensi Star X Chronic) going at the momnet and i dont want to jinx myself but one of the plants is more sativa than the others. It does not like too much nutes at all! God i hope its ogre like =)

[/quote].......LMAO....... D.S. I've made a few lightweights fish dance in my 20 years of heavy smoking. Your posts about the strain inspired me to buy some. I have a pheno going right now that smells like someone was working in the sun all day in the summer with no deodorant.
Man it smells like funky armpits.
I can't wait to smoke it.

i thought sensi star was a great strain. easy to grow, both fem beans i popped were heavy producers. and would get you stoned to the bone!

Damn, I want to try Sensi Star after hearing this.
I love the strain "Ogre", but it is a heavy indica. I havent had it since 2007. I grew a blue ogre that was straight funk!!! I wish I still had that cut. It was amazing!

Ogre is sensi star Bong, just a selected pheno by a member at OG or CW I think, maybe even here???
Ogre is devestaing, pure lemony goodness and a knock you into tomorrow AKA no heavy machinery type high
Ive also heard of a few sativa leaning SS's that are well worth running.
