6.5 is a minimum width when it comes to a 10 shelf stadium. 6 feet will be tight. unless you switch to 4 shelves per side with bigger plants and netting to help keep the room narrow..

id consider cube trucks, they are cheap and dont require a truck to tow away..

a buddy grows in 53 foot reefers.. slotted stainless and aluminum floors for easy cleaning. already insulated and light proof. ac included and it runs off diesel... the reefers coolng can be downsized and lights can be ran off the same generator in case of outdoor storage or whatever. buddio buries the elec wire and runs it up into the trailor inside the leg post.... for stealth.. you would never know even standing next to it... with the option of 4 padlocks also helps..

trailors and containers have been huge for people who dont have indoor space for bigger gardens..
buried containers are by far the best of the best..

good luck ill keep checkin back..

It would be better, I agree, but you'd have to insure the cube truck. With the trailer I could leave it unregistered and only need to insure the truck pulling it.

Obviously the warehouse would be under a fake name..etc.

if the cops ever showed up, boom. A warehouse paid in cash by a fake name and a trailer with no insurance paid for in cash with a rubbish removal company on the side that doesn't exist.

*pOOf* Im gone like magic.

Make sure whatever trailer you get is in a condition you can get it insured and acquire a licence plate for it. If you have to go mobile you don't want to get pulled over due to a bad blinker on the trailer.

Also If you have to go mobile, how will you maintain negative pressure so you don't stink up a parking lot with 200 flowering plants. Truly 100% sealing those may turn out to be a big job. You need mobile power?

Look at the pics I posted. It will have a scrubber inside. If I need to drive around and park it somewhere, ill need some back up power for the scrubber to do it's job while I deal with the landlord.

Like I said earlier, it will only be driven when and if the landlord comes to check out the place. If the cops come it gets left there with all the gear.

I'll be adding a webcam to the warehouse that sends me a text on my pay as you go smartphone every time the motion detector in the warehouse goes off. I have seen it done. It's super rad. You get a text from the software saying that there has been motion as XXXXX location. Log on, see the cops and never return.

Exactly what I meant .... you will need to consider power when you are mobile

what I was considering is when/if you need to move due to a landlord issue ... you don't want some random cop pulling you over for some bad luck traffic violation while you are doing your move. i.e bad turn signal on the trailer. Trying to think ahead to prevent Murphy and his Law.

These work well but I would be hesitant to use direct IP cameras as some models maintain an IP log in their memory. I personally prefer DVR's (just don't record) that can be web page accessed because not that many keep access IP logs on board the unit, I also like ones with a remote triggered relay available. ... in case of worst case raid scenario. also make sure if using text or email options that they go to disposable phone or stealth email setup from public library.

I always thought that if I was going to kick it up a notch this would be the thing to do.

Weather a trailer or a cube van you need a plate if you are going to put it on the road, so you and a screwdriver need to find a similar color and sized van/trailer. You anonymity ideas are great though... you have been thinking!

Regardless of which you buy (van or trailer), if you buy from a private party you simply don't register it and you remain anonymous. If you could have an out of town friend do the purchase for you it would add another layer of security to protect you if you had to bail.

Run lights on at night when the landlord is less likely to be there. I personally would worry about sound "Gee is that an airplane in your tool trailer? Cool!!" Run shit at night and run stealth during daytime hours when people would be likely to be around. I've never run sealed, but it is my assumption that there is very little noise when lights are off. Personally I would run 7pm to 7am. Not just landlord but deliveries or inspections or maintenance... most all of that happens during daytime hours.

Be sure you have your electric cabling and extension cords sized properly. Running 4/1000's and an AC on a 20' extension cord is going to take a mighty fat cord. Multiple cords may be best.

Good idea and I hope to see this up an running soon!!!

Cool thread.

I've pondered and craigslisted this trailer idea for years now, just never bit the bullet to go forward with it.

Rather then the whole warehouse idea I've tossed this around for a rental property and just keep it in the garage.

I've found a few 8.5' wide trailers which would allow you to do 5 600w lights per side of the trailer w/ a tight isle up the middle for a total of 6000w.

Do you think a 24k window unit installed in the trailer would cool 6000w non-aircooled reflectors?

If placed in a garage what kind of venting do you think would be necessary to keep the surrounding garage from cooking w/ the AC venting into it. I'd imagine the garage would just heat up and render the AC worthless. Could a 8" exhaust venting out the top of the garage be enough to keep the window AC in the trailer working properly.

This thread has me itching to invest into building something like this. Would make it a breeze to move ship into a new rental w/ a big ol' garage. Landlord would have no business ever needing into the garage where my "toys" and toy hauler are being stored.

Vag, you knew there was some little idea that you might have overlooked. Now you know what it is, and may safely begin the project.

Please do this, for all of us that thought of it and stayed up all night thinking of how to spend ALL THAT DOUGH once built, but never DID it. This would be one of the best tutorial. But maybe the step by step should be on a member only basis, or something so that feds wont have access to the minor details. IDK.

If youre going to have water stored in this thing, make sure that the rez is lower and wider. this will distribute the weight better. A single 55g blue drum would keep that whole trailer off kilter a little bit. Find something that can also be used as DECO, like a rez that runs along the wall that acts as a shelf for your clone tray or something. Water is 8.5lbs per gallon... x40 or so... that's heavy shit.

Checked out the trailer today and I like it!

I agree, a 7 footer is right. Gonna call the guy tmrw and try to get him down to 1750 cash. It's in great shape. Once it's all poly'd up it'll look bad ass. The roof it sealed with no sky light.

The idea sounds interesting but i can't see the advantages as opposed to a "normal" appartment grow.
I think i would feel a lot safer if i had my grow in the attic (or basement or anywhere else nearby) instead of having it in some random warehouse.
I would have a greater feeling of "being in control" - maybe thats just a feeling though.

What will you do with the smell that will leak from 200+ plants if you open the door to water? Looks like the other warehouse compartements are pretty close to yours and everybody knows what cannabis smells like.
What will happen when your carbon scrubber starts working less and you won't be there to notice it.
Won't it be suspicious if you visit your warehouse every other day - maybe even in the darkness?
Think about you driving your "growroom" around the block, for one or another reason and you get into a minor car accident?
What will your friends (or family or neighbours) think if you suddenly start a buisness whilst still working your old job - wouldn't they won't you to mow their lawns?
What about the taxes etc... for your new business?

People do notice weird behaviour - everybody does - its just survival instinct.

It's a pretty image in my head though - pretty much like breaking bad )

but as in breaking bad i think one would loose too much of control to really go through with it...

I believe that all thoughts of signage, etc. are not intended to be attached to a business entity. Just there for show, and not attached to any names. No business. No work. No taxes. No explanation. Unless, I suppose, people want their lawn mowed or rubbish removed. In which case, there might be work. Shit.

That ain't gonna do it. Doesn't take much to check up on whether a person's "business" is legitimate or not.

Agreed - no business..

Warehouse is for personal storage of personal items. No fire inspection needed.

Rent the space for that purpose - no signs whatsoever.

Its a place to store your toys such as 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, etc and a place to wrench and hide out from the ol' lady. Fill it up w/ cheap 4x4 jeeps and the alike. Your an off-roader now..

Easy enough....without all that business hassle.

Wide 8.5' trailers are out there. Found this for $3500. A tad higher priced but 8.5'x16'.
Installing a window AC in these things is not all that uncommon. Lots of cats round' here do it because they sleep in them camper style when they are out offroading. Toy hauler/camper.

You went and done it VagPuncher.. Gimmie a week or so and I'll build along side you.. I'll need insulation advice, but after that task is tackled its on..

I think i would feel a lot safer if i had my grow in the attic (or basement or anywhere else nearby) instead of having it in some random warehouse. sure but again goin big presents challenges, space, electrical, large cooling and fans...

Won't it be suspicious if you visit your warehouse every other day - maybe even in the darkness? not at all if used for "toys" not a business who cares when or how often you come. If at night the other places are closed so no one will notice.
Think about you driving your "growroom" around the block, for one or another reason and you get into a minor car accident?thats an act of god unless your a terrible driver...

Just because he doesn't have an LLC or s-corp doesnt mean he couldnt be just starting a business and keeping it a sole proprietorship for the first year :)
