It will maph easily if you not careful with light but other than that they are mostly crosses with Kush dominant traits which people are looking for...that gnarly...oily...toungue coating mouth orgasm that lasts forever...ahhhhh....I think it's time to look through the library

Are you sure that OG Kush has no Kush in it? I ask because I have been offering my Hindu Kush since the mid 1970's, original genetics straight from the Hindu Kush mountains, and I was not the only one with imported Indica genetics being shared around. This was 20 years before the presumed birth of OG Kush. No matter either way, for sure someone got Indica seeds and selected or bred OG Kush, why not you? My real interest is what it was made from, sounds like we will never know....

You are almost correct. There is no Kush in the Kush. Back then we were not getting medicine from any part of the whole Kush region. The name was really pulled out of my buddies older brothers ass. They are from Indo...I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it but we thought it was cool. It sounded better than the cat piss and hash plant we had going at the time. The real genetics of the kush that all the rappers sing about is unknown and just a lucky find from Florida in 1990. It did not become OG until all the train jumpers starting calling their bullshit Kush...remember the mk ultra/master kush day... and when we spoke to people we had to tell them that it was the real kush...the OG...the original or original ganster (which I did not like much). The most rediculous things I have heard is that it means:...1)ocean grown ( yeah...I was growing it on a dingy off St Augustine Beach and then moved my boat off the pier in Venice), 2)over grown...thats just stupid. 3) original genetics...which is cool, I like that. I am going to start a thread that OG stands for Oscar Grouch and he not only invented the garbage can but the Kush as well. I bet some high internet fact sufferer will spread it around his school. yep...the bubba kush was an hermi accident in Silver Lake that pollinated my PI and my bubba. My friend found the seed and that was the birth. This is the official 15th anniversary of the Bubba Kush.

i heard from some old growers up north that when the bubba first came around most of the oldtimers said it looked very similar to the old hindu kushes. these were all outdoor growers...

seems to me like 'Kush' the word is used in the USA just like the word 'Skunk' is used in the U.K. amongst those that don't have much of an understanding of the lineage of the cannabis plant...so denote the higher strength herbal cannabis as such....

Kush is generally used in the USA to refer to what some folks want to call Cannabis afganica, and has little to do with strength, but actually taste/look/smell.

I think Og may have came from the chem family . Nobody knows the lineage of that either but the leaf pattern looks like indica sativa cross and the buds do too. Dencer than a sativa but with all the funny foxtails. With the chem D I do get the classic indica stone but my plants grow stretchy like a sativa. I grow LA woman And I can see the chem in her she is supposably an og cross. From this I would say OG is a fake kush just named that to hype the stain with the kush name. To me The kush strains are budded much smaller but with more dense somewhat leafy buds. Cannabis afghanica leaves. To me Sour bubble is a more perfect example of a true kush.

Believe it or not, way back in 1944, around early summer, my uncle took some seeds from Mount Shasta, and moved to Afghanistan. His plants were extremely short and nobody who had grown cannabis in the region had ever seen anything like it before. His first crop was a disaster because he never knew the climate beforehand, and over 500 plants got seeded. That first crop went out locally around the area, to mostly family, friends and neighbors who lived nearby. 10 years later, people who were traveling to Afghanistan were bringing back seeds form that plant to the United States, calling it Afghani weed. In the 70's sometime, it it became known as Kush.
Originally, when he brought it there, it was called Shasta Snow.

jives w/ my experience, it wasn't too unusual to see backpat rats with 100 dollar quarters, no cuts on any quantity. it wasn't exactly the norm, but it wasn't infrequent, either.

500 doesn't seem too much of a stretch by my memory, at least. it wasn't so much captive audience as seller's market if you had dank - townies by the droves came out for that 1 bag they'd talk about while they smoked schwag for a year waiting on the next tour stop - if you ran the gauntlet to get the stuff on lot/tour, there really wasn't much reason to give any kind of price cut when you could sell small bags at high price with a quickness.

not saying all deals were like that, just it was common enough to make 500 not seem as goofy as it might otherwise.

in high school (mid 90s) I would buy an ounce of 'dro everyday after school to hustle. For the rare sac of "the chem" I would pay around 450, sometimes more. For the other 'dro I got back then it was usually around 400. Those ounces of "the chem" and other name brands could easily be resold in short 1/8s for 60 each. That would bring me 540/ounce... and freshmen girls paid 60 for half 1/8s. Point is: 500 ain't crazy. Concert transactions are a great way to come up on some herb. And when I bought herb at concerts, it was always taxed if it was really the best. What comes around goes around like that.

For real. No place in the new world had short fat cannabis plants. If your uncle introduced them to afghanistan where did his seed stock come from. I will give you this all thruogh the kush regions they grow sativas in the valleys. The first seeds brought to america were sativa hemp strains from spain. This branch dominated our continent untill the CIA let mujahadeen bring seeds hash and weed into the u.s. to help fund the aid we giving them to fight the soviets.

Sam Skunk man...yeah...unless it is some freak coincindence....what we call kush has no real hindu kush in it...unless somehow by rare chance we got your seeds from a random batch from you in Miami and we randomly called it Kush...That would be a real trip but totally possible. Do you know anything pre miami 1990 of similiar strains?...I would really like to know as well. Everyone else lives off internet hype...but you seem to have some history...I honestly could never really be sure what it was myself.
