I think under ABX 6-9 it will be UNLAWFUL for state and local leo to help or provide any assistance to the feds. I wonder if leos that get caught will be criminally prosecuted?

I look forward to the passage of ABX 6-9. I have a feeling that some bad cops will continue to help the feds, but I feel that many will get the massage and do whats right.
I don't think cops will be put in jail, but I do feel that they will have a pretty big lawsuit thrown against them.
Stepping stones... They will test the water. When the water bites back they will take notice. Then we will settle into where things will be until we pass further legislation.

I find it simply hilarious when members of a pro-cannabis website try to convince others to continue cannabis prohibition!
This has to be the silliest and most hypocritical situation of all times.
But, then again, money talks and when ones' cash stream appears threatened you never know how some people will react.

havent been in in awhile...just wanna let people know how i feel...so happy we have people here showing rational reasons to vote yes...and bringing up mature responses to those who are undecided or are actually stupid or vile enough to vote no...but here is my two cents...if you are still stupid enough...no, fukn moronic enough, to vote no...or just plain evil enough too, or your an undercover cop on this sight...blow me you scumbags...actually, if your an undercover cop, and your keepin your mouth shut on this issue...then lets just make it a small blow me...but if your a grower or a smoker, and you vote no on this issue, then fuck you pig.
thats exactly also why Cooley is against it. he says it was poorly written.
also, he makes a point that the ability of different parts of Cali to make their own regulations on growing/selling is going to create a jurisdictional nightmare.

Adela Falk of Wisdom Organics is my new hero, she has been one of the front people in the fight to keep dispensaries, and co-ops in San Diego open, marching through the bureaucracies of city government,she had a step forward when a large group of activists swarmed the city council chambers with signs on sept. 7 2010, 5 weeks prior, Adela had pleaded with the council to place the ordinance on the docket, which would stop the cease and desist actions that have been closing shops with little recourse. Adelas words however, fell on deaf ears.,
Afterwards, staffers of Donna Fry (who is on the city council Dist. 6) met with Adela to point out that the council would be unlikely to address the concerns of one individual. "where are the masses"? in the end, some local groups were represented, but the ordinance was not put on the agenda.
A peaceful protest was organized by the San Diego Americans for Safe Access and led by "Quadruple Acquittal" Eugene Davidovich.
Signs and chants enhanced the impact message that, "its time for a change"
Adela Falk and dozens of supporters stood at the podium, while Adela told the council "you did not want to address the concerns of an individual?, well, here we are as a community, and we want change".
unfortunately, after, Adela pointed out, what she had predicted had come to pass.
Cease and desist orders continued, including one for Wisdom Organics.
People, please dont sit by, while everything everyone has worked so hard for, gets taken from us,( one-by-one, they are going after the landlords of the "legal" Co-Ops and the people who run them,who are doing everything they can to follow the rules by the letter ).and will keep doing so, until they have closed them all. Support ours and yours local Co-Ops, do what you can to help, if things keep going like they are, we will have nowhere to buy medicine, I am a legal prop 215 SB 420 card holder,and i am in constant pain, from a head on collision (that was not in any way my fault) and fighting the option to take vicodin, which after a couple days of taking, also has me in a lot of pain due to my kydneys drying up, and my stomach pains due to constipation, and i dont want to take a pill to take another pill to take another pill, that is rediculous.and i know there are many more people out here that are going through the same thing. Please stand up for our rights as a community, and as an individual, i dont want to go back to getting my meds from some shady kid, or a "friend" of a friend, and thank you for your time and feed back.
Also, im not trying to spam, but if anyone is in the so. cal. area, more specifically San Diego area, Adela and Wisdom Organics is throwing one last fling before they have to close their doors, Oct. 30, 2010, the day before Halloween, please stop by if you can, she,i and everyone would love to have you join us.

Cooley and the "no" supporters have blown this waaaaay out of proportion. First of all, the reason they made it this way, is because by writing it in this way, the Feds can't attack it in court and succeed. This is because the Feds can't force our state to enforce their laws. The way Prop 19 is written, it removes Cannabis as a crime to an extent. If Prop 19 required Cannabis to be sold, etc, then the feds could sue all day. This is because it would be a direct conflict. Bottom line, the only way a Bill can survive will be if it can't be shot down by the Feds in court. The way that Prop 19 did it, it is believed is the only way to ensure this.
Many, I mean MANY things are regulated by city/county instead of by State. Fireworks, smoking in public, sales tax (yes, each county can add to the sales tax and they do), and many more. These are all regulated locally and work just fine.
In Texas, Alcohol is regulated by County/City. There are "dry" counties. This works just fine.
Crazy cool parallels with the HBO show "Boardwalk Empire." This could be similar to the 10 year period when NY ended prohibition, but the rest of the country continued the flawed federal scheme.

my best friend spent 5 years in federal prison, and missed his daughter being born, beacause his so called friend of many years, turned snitch and caught my friend in a conspercey, for doing nothing different than me or any of or other friends. This happened just before 215.
10 years has gone buy, but little has changed, since 215,420, liveing in butte county in nor cal, is not a dream. this year the sheriff and local police, made a sweep and declaired all the dispenserys aginst federal and were fined and shut down.
19 may not be perefect but its the right choice for me, i use cannabis as my medicne and just want safe acess.

Dude, it's kinda disappointing how man people in CA aren't voting yes. You guys just don't realize how lucky you are. Follow your heart. You have the opportunity to keep people from going to jail for a victimless crime. I just don't get how a person can sit behind bars for smoking a plant. NOW IS THE TIME FOR CHANGE. This bill isn't perfect, but it is better than no bill, and another bill isn't guaranteed any time soon.
