Why do I get the feeling Prop 19 is here to replace Medical Marijuana laws? I know it is not supposed to but everyone I talk to blurs the line...

Stop posting that crap without talking about the big elephant in the room. The article clearly implicates Sam the Skunkman in this conspiracy(with some sentences removed that plainly spelled out Sam the Skunkman...I caught that editing job, sneaky sneaky). Which is total BS. Why can we believe the rest of this crap if it starts off with this crap? Its a bunch of Michael Moore style hype written by an ignorant 19 year old with a vested interest in cannabis prohibition.

You posted that article...are you ready to call out Sam and ask him about the references to him in what you are posting? Or is there going to be another version with the David Watson stuff edited out and re-presented?

Probably because you haven't read the proposition and instead rely on what people are telling you that may have an interest or motive into keep cannabis illegal.

For someone who's name is "sacred thc ritual" we'd think you would support the freedom of cannabis....

Good to see the California Narcotics Officers Association chipping in over 20K. Wonder how much of that is their legacy fund extorted from drug dealers... Poor bastards I trying to stay in work:)

It is quite reprehensible to see the pigs spending PUBLIC dollars to INFLUENCE a PUBLIC vote.

Our country sucks and deserves every epitaph thrown at it. 2010 America is doing more to crush human rights than the Nazis ever did.

Really? Like making 7 pm kurfew, locking up Jews, then burning and gassing them?

Saying USA is like hitlers Germany is easily the most ignorant comment in thus thread.

Prop 19 doesn't free cannabis. More like puts it on probation. Lol. I would glady vote for something that truly freed cannabis, unfortunetly prop 19 isn't it.

Prop 19 can truly free cannabis. I am sure you must of missed it when you read the prop, but it allows for further legislation to loosen up restrictions. Voting YES on prop 19 is voting for the first step.

No I didn't miss it, its just that I don't see it happeneing. If we could count on the legislature or local governments, we wouldn't "need" prop 19.

Just curious...to summarize...19 makes Concentrates the same as weed...lets you have an oz on you anywhere and cops can't do shit...lets you have all you want at your house...lets you grow a small garden, but you are not limited to 1, as long as they are on different addresses--
What do you find about Prop 19 that is so bad, it is worth not voting for the General Public to have all those things??
And the Probation comment was pretty accurate-- It will take some getting used to, before the average non-smoking person will be willing to accept anything more-- Too many years of Government Conditioning to break through--

Well I didn't say having any of those things were bad, I just said that prop 19 does not free weed. For it to be free, there would be no possession limits, or grow space limits... or they would be the level on tomatoes or whatever... Also, the only people selling weed legally under prop 19 most likely be the politically well connected IE Dick Lee... again not what I would call any sort of free or freedom.

I didn't mention any of those things being bad either.

I just mentioned that we should as a whole expect a little bit more.

There are fears. It's true.

But expect to get drowned out by the flood of accusations and labels.

Nobody is saying that 19 is perfect. but to vote against it because it isnt what you think it SHOULD be is a fucking joke. i agree 5x5 is bogus. but we need to start somewhere. and 19 is that start. whats more important is sending a message across california and the rest of the USA that the PEOPLE WANT MJ LEGALIZED. and that is far more important than any of the shit that is actually in the proposition.

if any of you could bring 1 valid reason to vote no id be interested to hear it. but all this bullshit speculation gets us nowhere and acting as if weed should be the equivilant of tomatoes is fuckin ridiculous

No matter what happens...some ppl are gonna get richer than others...there is nothing at all saying that smaller growers will not be able to do so, altho they may not be able to compete with the mega grows prices....I bet they can top them in quality--
So my point is, you seem to be willing to give up all the positive things this entails...because of possession and grow space limits--
Dude...you are way smarter than that-- I know it is hard to accept that there is not a trick to this...but it really doesn't look like it-- This is a "Step" that will someday hopefully lead to "True Legalization"...but for now, it sure beats what we have--
Peace--:tiphat:

I know that certain counties have moratoria on dispensaries and collectives.

I know that is not against the law but it isn't really in line with what people voted for.

I am not sure how things will go from here.

Just know that it isn't truly in our hands at a certain level.

I'd love to see cannabis as regulated as tomatoes too, but Proposition 19 is a step in the right direction.

It's very unlikely that there will be one bill that will come by that will remove every restriction on cannabis with the support of the elected officials and the electorate.

However, it's much more likely that Prop 19 will pass and then next year another proposition to remove or redefine restrictions and another and so on.

Freedoms are generally restored much in the same way they're lost... gradually or violently.

The possession limits and grow space arn't really the thing. I have a much bigger problem with counties being the ones to regulate sales. I would have rather seen sales banned outright unless the state government came up with something. With counties in charge, it'll be a hodge podge of different rules for different people, and likely who will be able to legally grow for commercial purposes under prop 19 will be limited. There is still 215 as lesser limits, but I just don't like the uncertainly of prop 19.
