well you can fix it at the local level huh.... In Long beach there is a 14000 dollar non refundable registration tax. if your dispensary is within 1000 feet of another you are entered into a lottery if you dont win ...well...later to your 14gs..If you cant produce enough meds for the patients you will need another location thats another 12gs registration. you annual registration will be nearly 2 gs and sales tax business tax. etc etc. This is the current med scene .

the gray areas in this bill are giant loop holes. I feel my local authorities and city councils will figure out a way to screw the little guys so they can create more revenue and line pockets with moneys from special interests.

on the other hand i feel like things will become so relaxed that who is going to check my 5x5 foot space. Nobodys checking my current status.Am i going to put a sign in the window that says i grow grass come check to make sure its all good. Wouldnt local law enforcement eventuall turn there heads to weed and say ahh whos worried unless it was someone really trying to do big big things without paying the bills they rightfully should be paying.

I dont know i am so torn..i will probably flip a coin... :2cents:
I really i would just like to see a more humanitarian perspective taken by all people in the world and stop putting the all mighty buck first.

remember also folks this is one of the last great american industries that is still owned by the people.

HT:bandit:

PS i have so much to say but i suck at getting thought to paper and typing...
love each other pay it forward

I have asked the cops to come look at my grow to show my landlord it was okay with them and they WONT EVEN COME LOOK AT IT! They(the nuisance prevention officer) called to tell me it "sounded like I was okay and I need to get my state card. Call me and I can give you some tips".

3 months ago. I heart Santa Clara. They looked at my grow 10 years ago(when I was on 1 yr probation) and wont even come back with an INVITE to look to see if I am in compliance. How do you think they will handle me post prop 19 passing?

haha...i went down to my local sheriffs dept and tried to register my grow...they politely informed me that if i was inviting them they were sure i was in compliance . they thanked me, we chatted on the political climate here in s.d....then they informed me they had criminals to focus on and had to get back to work....being in bonnies domain, i had actually considered the possibility i would be spending that evening in jail...kinda anti climatic(?) in the end(thats kind of a horrible 'ending' line...ha) oh shit..pain killers are kicking in...time to stop typing

Either way the ayes have it. The "No" people do have the right to their say as long as they don't bitch in a few years if it falls short and they end up serving time in jail for growing.

From a small growers income perspective this prop 19 really sucks. From a buyers perspective it really rocks. I just hope everyone doesn't go off buying from very large growing stores or operations and keeps their buys with the local growers.

Overall it will reduce how much it's worth if people have cheaper choices from mass market places.

whats a lb of schwag cost these day 800?

depends what side of the country your on.... on the west side near the border you can get a 10 pack of green with little seeds for 300 a pie. back east ive heard cats paying 1500-2000 EACH and their shit is usually seedy brown....

yeah i always thought they was making shit up with the cartels profit on weed just because its always been so dirt cheap around here i couldnt imagine them making millions off it. but when your bringing it in by the tons and selling it at 1500 a pack...it makes shit a bit more clear. but hell you can get some pretty decent OD from norcal for that price. back east cats dont now shit about weed. people paying 80-120 for a half oz of mexi brick. HILARIOUS!!!!

I see many new people growing and not having to worry about the price anymore? All I SEE IS WIN WIN. I can grow my pot in my 25 footer harvest and continue the process. I would have so many different strians and hash and oils. I wont be paying any taxes. I will be having a good time giving out some fine cannabis :) why would people want to stop that?

I feel that we, as a community, are more conscious of supporting local and small businesses, so this large scale thing may be less a worry that we think
