Wow I can't believe there are more no's for citizens of California. Yikes.....:dunno:
California is the only place in the WORLD that is attempting to do something like this. Why would you vote no? Several articles mention the impact Prop 19 would have everywhere. There are some countries in the world that execute people for smoking and possessing weed, and we have a chance to show the world weed is not the "devil's lettuce".

Why would you want to hinder a movement like this and put it off for 2012? My state tried to pass a bill that decriminalized possession and growing a small number of plants which obviously got shot down. Do you think we've even seen a hint of another bill like that?? NO!!!
This is the change we've been waiting for and people in other parts of the US are counting on you guys. Please do the right thing and free the weed.

actually the poll is misleading..

the ayes have it from cali residents right now. you must add the "yes" with the "yes but" in order to get the real yes number....

It's not a very balanced vote, reflective of the broader population. The commercial growers are pissed off because already it's becoming very hard to shift weed in Cal. Legalization is going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg for a few self interested folk. End of day smokers and med users are voting yes, the general public will be split and a few greedy commercial growers and dealers won't support Prop 19. Meantime they're jumping on this thread and others and twisting facts and information, doing their best to sway others votes. The again you may have some paranoid tin foil wearing crew here also voting no. Either way it's great to see the Yes' have it on a forum such as IC Mag. Smokers outweigh growers 1000's to one so the vote here doesn't reflect the broader vote.

IME I don't even know one person that is voting yes on this bill, out of a pretty decent size pool of non growers/non dealers. I ask people if there looking forward to the 5x5, anyone that's said they would like to grow but currently are not would rather keep with the current med laws than have 19 pass.
This is people spanning from the bay to the top of Cali.

So I have to agree this poll off in my personal experience. Should be way more NO votes.
I doubt this site is is composed of mostly successful growers, and it certainly does not reflect the non smoker and anti drug/cannabis peoples share of votes.

We will just have to wait till November, IMO these polls are not very reflective to what the real voter turn out is going to be.

Your right, the polls are not reflective. It should show alot more YES votes. I talk to alot of people every day and I hear many more in favor then against 19.

If you cant grow enough for personal use in a 5x5 than you are just a shitty grower or you grow with intent to sale and just dont want to admit it to us pro-19 supporters.

Even the non smoking uber-conservative republicans are starting to realize that the legalization of cannabis could bring a huge influx in revenue and new jobs.

The demand is going to skyrocket once the rest of the nation realizes that they will be able to come to california to come and enjoy the world's finest cannabis.

Couple the new demand from out-of-staters alongside those who have shy'd away from mj due to kids, job, social taboo, etc. and your going to see a huge new demand.

No longer will Nor.Cal growers have to sit on harvys for months upon months and try to sell during the summer when supply has gone down.

There is really no reason to vote against 19 because you like the current MMJ system better, unless you mean by better that you can grow and sell all you want and not need to report income or pay taxes or go through proper channels to cultivate.

But its time we take MMJ to a new level. Because im sick of going to other co-ops and dispensaries and seeing all the trash PM'd herb that they sell. If you like MMJ so much, then you would be with us to legitimize it and regulate it so the patients who truly need it aren't ingesting tainted medicine.

And if you dont like California's laws and want to remain the high price illegal cannabis grower / seller.... well there is 49 other states that would love to lock you up for it.

They say the new young man's gold rush is back east. Or you could always slang coke. Get that scrilla son....:thank you:

I would vote no and will be in a quick second....All this will do is let government control one more thing that they shouldn't.....With this bill passed it will be less likly for 215 patients to grow enough plants because of government laws and restrictions that they are exempt to. How would passing this bill help at all? GOVERNMENT IS TAKING CONTROL. NEW WORLD ORDER is forming and you are helping if you say yes.

Is it legal now?

No? How come? Because they already control it?

Thank you, drive through.

On a completely unrelated note, It's nice to see that even the mentally handicapped have opinions on these important topics.

Come on now I respect a lot of your thought processes, but if MJ was controlled currently by the GVT then how in the hell have we been doing what we do for decades?

I like others have been growing weed and not getting a government check or inspection, so I wonder "How they already control it."

By having it illegal-- "If we catch you growing/possessing it, we will put you in jail."...what is that, if not Control??
Granted, they relinquish a lot of control in the process...but it is still ultimately control--:tiphat:

its classified as a controlled substance. an illegal one at that. if that isn't government control i don't know what is. they actually arrest you for possessing it, can you believe it? wouldn't it be nice to not get arrested for smoking weed?

It would be great to not be arrested, however I refuse to be controlled by ANYONE or ANYTHING.

Governments make laws in order to gain control. I live free and share my passion with others in order to insure that government can never control.

It is the constant battle but government is soft, slow, and weak when compared to dedicated individuals.

They may wish to control us but I submit that we should never submit, therefore we will NEVER be controlled.

There are laws on the books in many countries that are immoral and a direct assault against HUMAN RIGHTS, that does not mean that these evil governments CONTROL human rights; rather it means WE must stand up for our HUMAN rights no matter who our enemy is.

but... if prop 19 passes... you can grow weed for personal use? right now you can't. so thats them relinquishing control. i see you're an advocate of human rights. well. then you should probably vote yes on prop 19. because right now it's pretty shitty if you haven't noticed.

you can still do your own thing with your friends out in the woods or whatever makes you happy. this doesn't change that. growing and smoking marijuana is illegal and that's just ridiculous. you say you wan't less government control, but i'm not convinced.
