And here is what we are doing to tie down right now. Some hemp or Jute string works great just don't tie it to the plant to tight cause it will grow into the stalk and possibly cut that branch. We just installed bamboo. I put in 8 footers and I should of cut them to 6 feet which I may still do. Anyway we are gonna put horta trellis around the bamboo and on top to create a box. The horti trellis will be a 1 1/2ft of the top of the pot to allow access to the inside of the plant.

Can you post a close up of the XJ with the problem.

From what I saw, looks like your leaves are folded up. I have a plant that did that because of overwatering also due to magnesium deficiency. cured with drying our and Epsom salt.

post a close up so we can take a look.

weednazi,

I didn't get a chance to snap a photo, but I do know that these ladies don't have a mag deficiency cause I regularly feed em Cal-Mag. The over watering could be it but it is not a curling that I am seeing it is an actual dry parts on the leaves. Most of them have come out of it but there still is one in particular that is struggling and has several burnt leaves. The rest of the ladies are doing great growing up each day and looking super green and healthy. Iam still wondering when exactly flower will happen, Iam waiting anxiously. Gonna take a few rips and go to bed. Tired from a long day, but good one.

i have one xj with flowers on it, but I have been fighting flowers on that plant since i put it out. The other xj's are just starting to show preflowers.

Your garden looks extremely peaceful and well organized
You probably mentioned it already but what kind and size of pots do you use?
Are they smart pots sunk in the ground ?

That lake always looks so inviting:artist:

Alright finally I got my comp figured out and it is functioning again. So like I said before everything is set up. The fence is built, the pots are built with dirt and plants in them now. Here are some pics of the process and results.

Got the Fence Done and Looks Great.

So I was shopping around everywhere and couldn't find good material to make the pots out of. Finally while I am at Mendo Mill(Local Hardware Store) I see a giant roll of some clothe they called Ground Cover, so we pulled it down and it was almost identical to the material used in smart pots.

Great Alternative I found

So I got a large piece that only costs me $40 score!! I ended up saving 300 bucks or so.

The spacing on these babies is cutting a little close but I had to do what I could to fit ten in there. After seeing what others gardens look like I see that my plants are really small I ended having to use some younger ladies cause the older ones were needed for the indoor. So the plants are a little late and a little small but I figure I could do well still there is plenty of time to veg these babies up.

So my list of strains also changed entirely I am now have

8 Xj13s
1 White Rhino
1 Blue Dream

I will be putting those Hiram and Jade Hawaiian strains in smaller pots scattered throughout the garden.

Here they are the first day after transplant.

So thats it the update from the couple weeks.

I have been feeding these ladies a compost tea once a week. And foliar feeding them with micro nutes and High N nutes every 3 to 4 days. In about 3 weeks I will start feeding the roots High N Tea. Thanks for all the support of people around me and on Icmag. Im loving the summer YEA!!!

Found it bro.
Smart AND resourceful!
This is most impressive.
Noting the dates, you must have worked your butts off
The angle of your property for any additional run-off is just perfect
I'm also lucky that my neighbours are cool with what I do
This helps greatly

AND you're growing quinoa as well
Get OUT!!!
love it!

Straintester : I am growing Quinoa, it is exciting. Iam kinda getting creative with the Quinoa and topping it a couple times to get it bushy it has a very similar structure to herb.

Thanks for visiting El Maco

Ok Time for an update.

First here are a couple pics of burnt leaves. I am pretty sure we have been overfeeding, so we skipped this feed and going to pick it up again next week with some phosphorus to get them ready for flower cause I can see em stacking up getting ready to stretch.

Looking good brotherganja. Just a question about your soil/medium. Are there any amendments/minerals/fertilizers in your soil other than what you described on the first page? Was simplicity the primary reason for going with the guano teas?

Great job. Keep it up. :)

I did not amend the soil at all. But the source did do a premix with amendments. It consisted of virgin top soil, Mushroom compost, Chicken dropping compost, and green waste compost. Also a bit of perlite and rice hulls, but in my opinion based on what has happened they didn't need a N feeding until now they would have done fine with water for the first 3-4 weeks a mistake made on my part for sure. Luckily our Tea barrel was leaking yesterday when I went to make a tea, so I didn't make one and now I realize I don't want to anyway. I am gonna wait several days and feed again some time later this week. Also Hortitrellis is coming Yea getting ready for the stretch.

Have a good day all

I am wondering if that clothe you purchased from the hardware store that they call 'ground cover' that's similar to the smart pots is something that is normally sold at nurseries.
It looks completely different than the ground cover I purchased for my perennial gardens outside.
Maybe the best thign would be to go to them and see what they have.

Also I am wondering what the caged material is called that you wrapped around the pots?
Do you think this would be strong enough material to hold up your buds if you were to extend that higher?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying to learn as much as I can
to better my outdoor grow this year.:)

Straintester: I am not sure if it is sold at nurseries. A lumber yard is where I purchased from. They had it in a 15' roll on a lumber rack 2 stories up. When the guy pointed it out I couldn't really tell what it was at first but I wanted to check it out so I had him get it down anyway. When I looked it was very very similar. Make sure you get something thick that light can't penetrate very well. I know tons of people who have used regular weed block material that is super thin and they just double it.

The cage is just 2"x4" wire fencing sold in 3ft tall 50ft rolls for $30. I wouldn't recommend building the terrace and the pot as one piece, cause your gonna want access up in side the plant to clear potential popcorn and create more room for air to pass through. I cut the wire fencing in half so I got almost 8 pots from one roll. The pots I have are about 108 gallons give or take cause there not perfect. Absorb as much as you can from the good large plant growers here on IC and you will have a successful season next year. I have been blessed to work with the best and learn the great wisdom.

Time to finish a joint with a little bit of hash in it and go to bed.
