it's been 3 weeks flowering now, start of week 4 today.
she's filling out really fast again so i might have to defoliate in another few days to a week if she gets too bushy.
getting some nice trichome growth now starting to pepper the flowers.

hey mate, haha yeah penguin insisted on naming IT lol i wasn't too fond of it but she's been a good asset so far haha we took her to i think just on 8 weeks last time we harvested but i think that was about 1 week too early, she only had about 20% amber trichs, so probs best to go to 50% or so and then give it the chop? what you think? i'm thinking 8-9weeks.
ahh welcome thc123, haha yeah first time training and scrogging but boy i've been really impressed with the results i'm hoping to do an experiment in the near future comparing LST vs normal vs topped once vs topped twice. i'll grow them all for 2 months, same conditions, but LST one batch at 3 weeks and also top the two top batches, and then top one again at 6 weeks, then flower them all from 8 weeks on. then compare the yields of all of them. be interesting to see what happens.

The Auto Assassin will be two weeks old on the morrow. THe Afghani #1 though has been a problem. I germed all five of them. All of them popped up the same day. Three of them fell over dead withing a couple of hours. One of them lived for a few days and fell over dead. The last one looks healthy as all get out. I am a new enough grower that I just can not place blame anywhere else my myself. I am sure I have done something wrong but I dont know what it is. Everything else I germed is doing great. I dunno. The sad part is that the Afghani is what I was looking forward to the most. They were free though so no complaints. Like I said, I am inexperianced enough that I could not place blame anyway. I will order from him again as he treated me with much respect and sent me more freebies than he advertized. My Auto Assassins were free too. I had bought a pre paid Visa card to do business with him. I had to convert his currency because his website does not have a currency converter. Well, I messed up and converted using the Euro instead of British Pounds. That made my pre paid Visa card short on the actual price of my order by $8 American. Once we figured out that was why he could not hit the card successfully he went ahead and hit the card for what was on it and sent my order anyway plus some. Cant complain and I will do business with him again.
Whew, that was a long post. I am excited about your White Widow. I might have to get me some of that. I am doing a seed run on my Onyx and my Auto Assassin. I dont know if the lone Afghani is male of female. If it turns out to be male I will collect pollen. I have 3 Master Kush seeds on germ right now.

ha sounds sweet mate, shame about the seedlings, all i can think of is maybe they weren't moist enough? but yeah i dunno, shit happens, we had similar stuff happen when we first started growing (and still do at times) it's good though you learn a shit load and can then fix the problems should they occur again in the future. you'll have to link me if you have any threads up with your grows as i'd love to see what to expect from the afghani 1 and auto assassin. keep at it mate

All depends on what you want your smoke to achieve for you bro. Do you like the previous harvest's smoke?? I mean is it what your looking for when you smoke it, too uppy or not enough, I prefer a good couchlock, so I'd go 50% easy, but that's just me
yeah mate that's what i use, i've a box with lots of 20w or my closet with a few 130w, and now a tent with a 400w but i normally germ under cfls.

yeah mate though we had to harvest early last time this stuff still fucks me up... especially now with my meds it fucked me up for a good 2 days lol lingering about. so can't imagine what 50%+ will do hahaha guess we'll see

Yeh b00m i prefer a good couch-lock too. In this grow we have the time to let her go until she's at peak harvest. We'll bust out the magnifying glass and everything haha, do it right. I cant wait to try bud from the same plant that was harvested at a different time. I think we'll really get a sense of the plant's potency potential. Stay tuned for sure man.

ok so got bored today and wanted to do something icmag productive. lol so i whipped out the trusty canon 12mpx camera and hit up macro setting here are the results. we're only 25 days into flowering period, so not even half way she's looking better everyday though! and i'm amazed how well she's growing out of a small pot, with only seasol (fish/seaweed emulsion) added into the water for nutes (2caps/15L), doesn't have a blemish on her anywhere.
ps. camera i'm using is a cannon power shot A650 IS
