I want to grow "tripping weed" what should I get?

"Trippy" is so relative. No weed is like acid (even "acid" phenos) but some can get really strong in their own way.
If it's for the change in perception (visuals, sounds, wonderland) - the SE Asians seem to excell.
For a mental (thinking) trip - Durban will fry your brain with stimulation (not really pleasant in higher doses, strange body sensations, muscle spasms and pressure in the head).
If you are after emotions - the highland oaxacan (and I guess the related S. Americans) can make you roll on the ground with laughter or want to kiss the sky.
They are all trippy.

when peeps say "acid pheno" they are not referring to the ride 3 hours in at the peak-they are describing the similar come up experience-being overcome with positive energy, grinning from ear to ear-laughing hysterically at nothing and experiencing the edge of vision blur/tearing
this to me-is the acid similarites and it is fantastic to experience

i dunno if anyone's mentioned it but a friend just got some LSD seeds, named so because they apparently send you on a trip. i'll let you know once we've grown them and smoked them but yeah might be worth trying!

this report is most appreciated ,especially since you were in mexico its first hand ,the myth of the cutting ,stripping rimmed ETC ,is believe by most ,but as you say i believe its the genetics for the most part

IME ive seen countless nyc haze varieties that were golden and im sure the bark or stem were not stripped ETC or grown outdoor even ,which supports the fact of it being related to the genetics

I interpreted what he said as it being the drying method for the most part, genetics much less so. Dry any bud in direct light it will turn golden. Leave a jar of dried bud on your windowsill and it will turn golden too.

Never smoked any like acid but there was one that was like a mild mushroom trip, very much like it. Not with visuals etc but definitely head feeling, a general feeling of hilarious paranoia perhaps lol every bump made me spin round and go 'what was that?' then i'd burst out laughing. Also music was enjoyable in a way beyond what most cannabis normally does. I believe it was mainly Mexican too.

Already tried it...it didn't work...that's why I started this thread. I've gotten a lot of great ideas...next time, I'm growing something special, that's for sure.

I grew 3 LSD's last time. 2 were "regular" in growth, very lemony, good high, lots of sugar. But no...not the tripping weed we had as kids. The 3rd was really stretchy, didn't yield worth shit...and that's what it ended up smelling like. It started out nutty, then like coffee, then at the end...seriously, like someone rolled it in dog shit. It's got a stronger (slightly) high...but the yield...horrible.

They're easy to grow...I have a grow report and a journal on it. A buddy did a smoke report on a sample, in the smoke report section. It was my first grow with "expensive" seeds. I made some Apollo11xLSD (lemon) crosses I'll be growing soon.

You won't be disappointed with it...it's a good "strain". Mine went for about 90 days. No nanners...but it did have some seeded branches.

johnny blaze from legends. original nevilles haze x original blueberry sativa. no need to say more, let the pics do the talking.





the most vigorous plant i've ever grown is this johnny blaze f2. needs 12-15 weeks of flowering though but that's how it is if you want quality mindbending sativa high.

now i've grown some plants and JB blows everything away. it's so good i dont even want to smoke it everyday. the HIGH comes on slow, the rising can last up to an hour. feels just a bit shroomy.

i have to say that i still haven't grown shantis hazebreeds but i'm sure they're just as good. it's just that i think a little bit of blueberry sativa makes everything better!

there seems like a bunch of options for you. I'm surprised that this J Blaze isn't getting more credit. I am going to be asking around if anyone has done the legwork on this strain to see if i can acquire a cut locally. Seriously fantastic. What am amazing score it someone popped 4 or 5 packs of any of these suggestions and passed clones... I should do that.

I tried cutting a rim or girdling some hemp plants once, they were volunteers so nobody cared, and when I did this the plants kept going but seemed a little less resinous, and generally the same as other plants around them. That being said volunteers means different genetics so this could have an impact but I think not.

I girdled a male once just to see if the stories about it turning golden were true...they're not. It's like I didn't do anything to it! It kept growing like nothing happened. I made a ring around the trunk 1/2 inch wide, all the way around...right down to the "wood". It didn't seem do a thing even after 2 weeks.

AMEN brother smoke a gram or seven it doesn't matter. I did read on a website when I was shopping for seeds, that there was a strain that was more resistant(for the lack of a better word) to building a tolerance. I think the thc/cb levels were kinda low. If I run across it Ill let you know

I'm not trying to get your goat, but my friend got hold of something called "XXX" and that shit got us higher than kites, and we smoke A LOT of primo bud.

One strain I can personally attest to having some serious tripped out effects is DNA Genetics / Reserva Privada's Kandy Kush x Skunk. Kandy Kush itself is a chemdog derived OG Kush crossed with trainwreck and stabilized for a sweet fruity almost skittle flavor. Most of the Trainwreck cross strains from DNA have very good reviews and the addition of skunk genetics, even in an F1, showed me colors.

The Kandy Kush is a known contender with really excellent potential depending on growth methods. The Cross with skunk really brings out the depth of scents and tastes, as well as an additional body effect that seemed to increase my sensitivity rather than dull it. The stuff can drop your IQ a good 20 points when you're on it, straight up retarding but you still have energy and the come down is really mellow. You'll think you're sober, then 2 hours go by and you realize just how high you still were.

Here's a clone at 10 weeks flowering 2 weeks rooting under about 100 watts of CFL bulbs. Pinkish hue is different then the gold you're looking for but I think the high you are after is contained in this beauty. Try one for yourself sometime and you won't be disappointed.

I know there is some stock available but you might have to purchase the combo skunk train that includes some Mean Green x Skunk and OG18 x Skunk... it's like 30 beans for $100 I think, and it's all good stuff.

I often say that this sativa-indica thing, though a good generalization, is not scientific or set in stone, and only gross stoner oversimplifications make it so.

Back in the day I have had amazingly psychedelic indicas, indeed some Red Pakistani plasticine and some Persian hash were quite unforgettable, probably trippier than any sativa I've had since. There are very psychedelic Himalayan charas varieties too, though some may say they are "sativa"-leaning.

So I, for one, certainly do not buy into this "only sats are trippy" stuff, even though I am almost exclusively a sat person these days.

I just don't think that some of the trippier indicas haven't found their way into the "market's" gene pool, that's all.

Great post Gert! Glad someone agreed with my as I've become more convinced that, at least for me, indicas (or indica-heavy) hybrids can be very trippy.

And don't get me wrong, I'm much more into sativas and feel they serve my daily medical needs better. Indicas I mainly grow as sleeping aids. But anyway...

Yesterday I smoked some BubbleDust from Growdoc (ok - I smoked a lot of it ). It's a very indica-heavy hybrid (I think). After smoking I lay down on the couch listening to some trippy music with my eyes closed. And wow, I was totally blown away. I was taken away to deserts, jungles and cities. Not asleep but awake, though I simply couldn't get up for a couple of hours (and the breeder description for the strains says "no couchlock here" ).

The lineage of BubbleDust is Bubble Gum x Angel Dust.

A very easy to grow strain. Inexpensive seeds.Bought a 5 pack from Seed Boutique: 3 girls, 1 male, 1 didn't germ. Two of the girls were a bit leafier than one. Medium yielder but fast flowering (about 2 months).
