From SOG to SCROG

This will be my first attempt at a scrog. One plant in about 1.5 sq. ft. About 22 inches of headroom above the soil line. Just a bagseed clone from my last sog effort. Sog...so many plants for a personal use only guy. Maybe the yield will be similar or better I hope. Here are some pics:

Out of the cab...doing a little training.

In the cab...switching to 12/12 tonight.

A few cuts from the undergrowth.

My wife's garnish for Memorial Day!

Hoping for a good yield. A lot easier to water that several 20 oz. bottles that's for sure! I'm trying to learn how to keep the buds at about the same height by pinching stems and relocating the branches around the screen.

Not my bus...that would be fairly incriminating. I've owned a couple old ones though ('59 and '72) and am looking for another. Now you know two of my obsessions!

Well...I've got about a year and a half of growing under my belt but still have much to learn about water and nutes. Temps in the box have been in the mid to high 80's for the past month or so. Might have to fabricate a cool tube with a 70 watt hps for the next try. I've got three clones and I'll choose one for my Fall scrog when I finish up this one. I foliar fed the girl with epsom salts to try to green her up a bit. Any comments appreciated.

not to shabby man. i've never tried epsom salts before, do you have experiance with them?

what eles have you tried? 70 watt sounds like quite a hand full in there! what are your base temperatures? as in outside your box in the surrounding room environment.

also, what nutes are you runnin?

drop me a line at my thread so i remember to come back :p

Originally, the soil mix contained blood and bone meal, dolomite lime, and worm castings. About every other watering I add one teaspoon per gallon of this: which is bat and seabird guano, plus I add a teaspoon of molasses. Thats about it. I get my water from a rainbarrel but I've never tested the pH. Hopefully, 70 watts with a remote ballast and cooltube will be cooler than 6 or 7 (23) watt cfls. My base temperatures in my garage are quite high; 85-90 sometimes but I draw my air through two, 4" pvc intakes that I've installed through the garage wall into an air conditioned room. You can see them on the left side of my cab in the veg/clone room
Thanks for your input!

Epsom salts are a source of magnesium and I've used them on vegetables for years. Again, I'm not sure of my pH from the rainwater I use but I should start checking to make sure that's not the problem. Thanks for the comment...much appreciated!

thanks for all the info man! sounds like you got an awesome feeding setup, and great soil man! i wish i could do such organic stuff, but the only local stuff smells like dead rotting things. and that gives me away more than weed smell.

i wish i could get some pl-l's they would work great in my PC grow.

cant wait till u got time to catch up on my thread bud :p for now, im tryna figure out what i should flower first! check it out on my thread.
