There is a lot of hate for the kush's cause of the hype, but for me I hated kush cause I couldn't find it and every club I went to vend to in LA would say yea its good but it aint no kush. That would make me so mad, but if you wanna make it in this business you better pay attention to what your market demands. If your content with pushing blue dream and casey jones, ak, nl, hindu skunk then by all means grow what your heart desires.

You can thank all the hip hop guys for the marketing, Grapes or purps huge in the bay not so much in LA or So CAL, its all kush down there.

Plus if you grow good kush it always sells hands down. Whats not to love about kush, grows well, yields well, smokes well. And if yours is low yielding do your homework and get some new seeds cause I got kush plants that are so fucking robust, just got roots in my ez cloner in 5 days! a first never ever had that fast of a rooter in my life, im sold kush all day in the bay!

BTW my formula for the ez was, clonex gel, clonex solution and ro no ph check and bam son roots in 5 days, a true testament to these guys genetics, if interested to which ones im talking about pm me.

kush is great and all, if i am having a hard time sleeping i will usually hit up a dispensary and get a gram of the strongest kush they have, i love hindu kush, master kush, bubba kush (bubba doesn't get me sleepy though)...honestly though, this cheapo af-pak i've been getting has been able to knock me out for sleepy time better than anything labeled "kush" that i've boughten, i understand kush is originally afghani, af-pak is an afghani hybrid, so would af-pak maybe be partly kush? i don't bloody know

i recognize it's a marketing game as well though, i've seen so many things labeled kush that don't seem to have any recognizable kush attributes, i think they just slap the name on so people will buy it

i'll end with this, i had some lemon thai kush from up in tahoe a month or so ago, that stuff was very unique, it was probably one of the greatest herbs i have ever had the pleasure to try, man i wish there was a wormhole i could step through from so cal up to tahoe and back just to get some more, thai + kush man that is such a great combination

It is most definitely hype..at least outside of Cali where legit cuts are less likely to be found. I'm sure if you get some Kush there the likelihood of getting the legit cut is very good, whereas in the more eastern states, if some guy were to offer to sell you a bag of "kush" , the chances of it being the real thing are a lot slimmer. Just a couple weeks ago I hooked one of my buddies up with a gram of white widow. I specifically told him what it was he was getting and he was like "cool, thanks." Fast forward a couple days and he's back asking me if I have any more of that KUSH I could let go lol. I was dumbfounded how he could go from ww to kush like that when I didn't say anything about kush when i gave it to him the first time!

People hear their favorite rappers saying some words and next thing you know everyone is saying it. Kush is just the latest trend. Back in the 90's it used to be dro. Everything good was dro, whether it was grown that way or not. In the next few years it'll be Haze or something else and everybody will be saying and wanting that.

its annoying when all you hear is "yea all we smoke is kush, fuck haze" or "I got the real kush" and it turns out to be a typical haze. Mind you this is the East coast. All these people hear Lil wayne or some other rapper and want all the strains the rappers smoke. Bring up any other stain and they look at you crazy. I'm friends with some rappers and they call everything kush or trainwreck. When it comes down to it the Blue moon rocks and g13 Haze wrecked them.

Now i do smoke Kush courtesy of friends on the West coast and while it is very nice, there are other strains i like more.

I love my Bubba kush that i'm growing they have grat characteristics, but its not the end to all strains. The smell is unmistakable along with the taste and is the best part i feel.

As others said its great sleep meds and found some phenos that just knock you out; not meant for daytime. While the OG is nice, i think the Bubba is better. I also really enjoyed Masterkush.

Back in the day,, when it was still called "Cali Weed" or "Dutch Weed",, everyone was just happy to be smoking Dutch or Cali and not the bush or brick weed that went about. These days we still aren't happy,, even when we are smoking off the best snippings,, just because the name is off-line with the genetic origins. Cali Kush - Kushes originating in the Cali med scene or are known in the med scene. Great plants and very stoney herb to say the least!

Real Affy Kushes are different and coming from the region they are named after. Great weed but different than what most are on here are speaking of.

Its hype. Its quality of herb. Its the scene. its all that and then some. I have grown so many kushes its ard to keep count on both sides. The Cali kushes are great weed and potent weed as well.
