Well i finally gat a comp and internet back so I figure id post a proper update, dont think iv ever done that so we'll see if do ok? just let me know what i missed...

We are at 17days since these cuts went into this system and i have to say "HOLY SHIT!!!" these things are doing some good progress , especially since im such a hydro noob and iv had a rocky start.

but thanks to toohighmf ( ) these gals are starting to turn around and really good too,im anticipating the use of his nutrient regimine he calculated up for me,im trying to keep up as accurate as possible too.

Well now on to some grow info/update: today(5/28/2010) PH & PPM are at

they have been eating very little,i plan to bring it up with the next top off maybe up to 800ppm?

17 days of veg in this system went from cloner with 1-2" roots right into hydroton into buckets

in the rdwc im using AN nutes 6ML/gal grow,3ML/gal micro,3ML/gal bloom,5ml/gal H2o2,5ML/gal CalMag+ with RO water i did add aquashield the otherday to help battle high rez temps @ 5ML/gal

i think its workin pretty good so far but somethings off im getting some leaf curl on them today

can anyone chime in on what this could be? temps are at 78* and RH is 42%.

wow no love huh? well these gals are growing soooo much everyday i love it i can see a difference between yesterdays pix and just walkin in the room today... look like leaf curl is starting to go away wish some one could tell me what it was, theres a couple other threads where that occurs but they never found out why either it just started going away.

nice pictures! you make me consider trying hydro out, but I've always been a soil guy and all the equipment is intimidating! Definitely going to be checking those whiteberrys out, i was very interested in getting that strain

hey thanks for joining me,hydro isnt that overwhelming if you make steps out of it. iv been soil guy til this set up and i love it. its just a bitch collecting all the necassary equipment to make it all go as planned and iv wanted the whiteberry since seeing it in 08' hightimes as one of the top 10 strains of the year and now i got it and its growing great and its easy to clone too,i ordered a 5 pack of fems and planted them all to find the best 1 or 2 phenos and just grow out the rest so we'll see if i can get a damn good whiteberry to keep around for years to come...

No,thank you for your kind words. and it should inspire you its pretty easy for the most part i think my lazyness is part of my recent problems but im gonna nip that shit in the bud TO NIGHT!!! lol but yeah im uploading a vid to sorta show yall whats up and how things are going. then i'll do a sorta formal update tomorrow cuz im pooped from alot of work today on top of draining and refilling my system thats upstairs and theres only a room up there no running water so i gotta chevrolegs it all up stairs gallon jugs at a time, well i can carry 4 two in each hand but non the less its a pain in the ass for sure.

well my system only holds about 16 gallons so i added so far 160ml h2o2,was gonna let that run for a bit then im gonna add 65-80ml calmag,96ml micro,144ml bloom,32ml grow and see how that runs...

does that sound about right toohighmf? also should i add aquashield according to the bottle?

hey yall

Well added everything,let it run for a hr or so checked and got 805ppm and 4.4PH then added 15ml GH PH up then bout 30-40 mins and checked it again ppm still 805 and ph up to 5.4, thinking i'll check it in the morning and see how the bubbas are hangin in there and what the meters tell me.

well toohighmf was the ppm where you expected like last time?

Hey if you are looking for a quick and dirty temp fix for your hydro temps, there is always the frozen water bottle shuffle(ie freeze a couple sets of 2 liter bottles, and change them out as they melt down). It will get you by until you get a chiller set up.

lol iv sorta been doing that already but iv just been using 1 1gal juglast a few hrs i should probably freeze a few,but hopefully i'll have my chiller this week or atleast ordered this week.

thanks doc. yeah the set up keeps getting a updated makeover here and there,gonna pull my dink bloom room down today or tomorrow and harvest whate in there one might be preme but fuck it i think this hydro and all the other soil gals deserve more attention and better climate conditions.

im pretty amazed that even with my probs im gettin half ass decent growth. THANKS toohighmf!!!!! dont think id be doing as good with out your immediate help. hopefully one of these days i can return the favor with a doob and a brew and chill times?

anyhoozer,theyre doin ok right now they might bo goin thru slight shok from the flush/refill with a different ammount of specific nutes?

the ppm this morning was a little higher than the pic(the pic was from lastnight) and the PH was around 5.65ish.

also i do think it might have been Ca Def causing the curling because my notes show i lacked calmag on a couple top offs )I love notes) and a day or 2 before i flushed, like a dummy i added calmag as if it didnt have any like for the 16gallons and the curling was going away on a couple of em but im glad i flushed cuz the water smelled funky as hell

I got as much water out as possible also set the 4 buckets up on upside down drip pans that helped get it all out of the buckets with additional clean RO water to flush out the shit at the bottom,after cleaning it out and adding fresh with out adding anything the ppm was 30 so i think i got it pretty flushed and i did let the H2o2 run by its self for a hour before adding anything else so if there was anything bad in ther hopefully its all gone and dead.

So yeah let me know what ya think?

I love the video updates man, oh and those ladies should fill that screen in a month since the roots now are hittin that water. That white diesel is a monster, whats your plan for those t5;s?

hey thanks guys, i hope they fill the screen,and the 4 bulb T5's are now over my cloner and the other one is just sittin aside for now,i plan to make a new veg room come time to flip and thats the plan for the 8 bulb.
