I ran Greenhouse seeds Super Lemon Haze... it was ok went like 16 weeks or some crap..
totally different high than what im use to... My friends and i could not hold a conversation when we were burning through all that... at week 7 it smelled of lemons but not cat piss...

I think i got 1 to grow out of 5 or 6... and Dutch passion sucks as well in my book... Granted im a newb and just going with what worked for me..

i would grow it again if someone else wants to find that killer faster finishing pheno.

This bill is really going to make it hard for the small businesses that actually care for and provide quality and affordable meds to their patients.... Sadly the big businesses seem to be the only ones benefiting from the new HB. Definitely not patients

Yep... This bill was deliberately crafted to eliminate smaller dispensaries and growers.

they don't seem walmart-ish to me, greenhouse yes.. I mean who carries almost solely feminized versions of strains, and color codes there seeds.. Gotta love the feminized seed scam.

Agreed. But I think THSeeds might be setting something up around here too, is what I was trying to say

They are here.
But they are also headed by an American Expat. Which, makes their coming here different, for me anyway.

I sure am (and I really like it), and you are as well? But as I said it's not about selling seeds, it's about coming in and buying up dispensaries. GH was just my best guess as to who the Dutch investors were, I don't really know.
I know GH is one of these euro companies, I don't know about the others though?

I do agree with you, they are lining this up to be wal-mart in a sense. This bill is set to make 'A, B, & C typical' MM Centers. Greenhouse wants to be one of them and that is why they are 'risking' this. There is a bill in the house, HR3939 and if GH throws enough cash at a lobbyist to pass it, they can do what ever they want. The studies are there, this is not a harmful product and how many states are now medicinal? If we really have a 'federal' government, it will go through in this congress.

I am not familiar with the new colorado bill
how does it force out the small guys and invite in the corporations?

I agree with some earlier post
Colorado peoples grow some chronic and have been for years - I'm sure people can organize and get funding and start the american version of these companies if the door is open
much respect to the greenhouse and other dutch seed companies for what they have done over the years - but IMO the best genetics are right here at home in america

here is the press release

May 24, 2010

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., - Cannabis Science, Inc. (OTCBB:CBIS - News), a pioneering U.S. biotech company developing pharmaceutical cannabis products, is pleased to announce that it has acquired 100% of a private company with two revenue producing operations, an organic medical marijuana growing facility and a medical marijuana dispensary providing patients with medical marijuana in Colorado in accordance with state laws.

Richard Cowan, Cannabis Science CFO, stated, "Obviously, acquiring two revenue producing operations immediately changes the nature of Cannabis Science, giving us a positive cash flow stream much sooner than otherwise would have been possible. We are now entering a new phase of our business and we expect to expand these revenue streams immediately by the acquisition of a larger facility as previously announced to meet the demand for Cannabis Science products. Our main focus remains the development of pharmaceutical cannabis products for FDA approval. In fact, these acquisitions will improve our ability to develop pharmaceuticals and increase our ability to serve the rapidly growing patient community."

Currently, both operations are producing revenues in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and generate significant positive cash flow. The transaction was a share swap in which the company is issuing a total of 2,400,000 shares for both the acquisition of these operations and as compensation for a management contract that will add significant skills to our company's team. The seller of these facilities, Mr. Adam Pasquale, is joining the Cannabis Science management team as Director of Horticulture. Mr. Pasquale's responsibilities include overseeing these operations and implementing the company's plans to expand these areas of business across the country, as the laws allow. The Company is looking forward to regularly reporting its progress in its 5 key operations:

1. The Horticulture Division -- Pharmaceutical Grade Medical Cannabis Grown Under Stringent Quality Controls.

2. Analytical Labs -- State Of The Art Facilities Developing Cannabis Extracts and Pharmaceutical Grade Drugs.

3. Manufacturing -- Cutting Edge Facilities For Creating Oral and Topical Medications For Various Ailments.

4. Clinical Trials -- Initial FDA Clinical Trials Targeting Veterans Suffering From Chronic Pain and PTSD.

5. Distribution -- In State Dispensaries Today, National Pharmacies Tomorrow.

Dr. Robert Melamede, PhD., Cannabis Science President and CEO, said, "We view this transaction as key to our plans to develop standardized FDA quality pharmaceutical cannabis products. In addition, their profitability will facilitate our product development in accordance with State laws. These acquisitions will allow us to begin pre-testing to establish the efficacy of our pharmaceutical products prior to formal FDA human trials. We are in preliminary negotiations to establish similar operations in other States that have approved medical marijuana programs addressing the ever-increasing demands for medical marijuana as people learn the truth about marijuana's unique medical values. We are creating a new type of patient oriented pharmaceutical company that will foster social change, and this is a major step in that process."

Mr. Cowan added, "I am also very pleased to report that we are currently converting most of the company's debt into common equity. Adding revenues, eliminating debt, and clarifying the company's financial structure should help provide a higher per share price and valuation for the company. As a result of the debt conversions, the acquisition, and corporate expansions there are currently 65,570,574 shares outstanding and management expects to retire most of its debt by the end of June thereby eliminating a major source of risk. These developments should allow some of the larger funds and fund managers to invest substantially more in the company because of the reflection of our greater financial strength."

the small dispensaries weren't planning on forking over as much cash that is going to be asked for...to start, there will be more local and state licensing, grow licensing(the numbers stated have been $10K per 500 patients or 3000 plants), edibles will have to be made from plants at another grow(so, a second grow license for edibles), hash and the edibles have to be made in an FDA approved kitchen that doesn't operate in any other fashion other than MMJ treats. Zoning and property ownership are the main pushes, forcing most grows to buy a building.

It just seemed to happen very fast for government? Normally they move at a snails pace.

capitalism is inevitable in America

the time has come for growers to unite and work together
i think there is room for everyone
maybe people will start to have real jobs with companies doing what they love
getting paid well with benefits - some big companies are good - right ??

If I had to bet the Dutch company is bedrocan. They have a unique vision for medicinal cannabis and it will be interesting to see what happens if/when they make a move in the us market.

Why is it everyone of cannabis sciences's press releases is 90% about what they are going to do and 10% what they have actually done?

Oh well, time will tell.

a lot of speak and not a lot to show
i agree
but that is often what pharmaceutical companies do

If they're a publicly traded company we can probably figure out who it is by studying their charts.

Cannibas Science is CBIS and here is it's chart:

Besides the latest financials released Friday, this PR mentions Colorado specifically:

I never thought I would get stock DD leads from ICMag. 95% of penny stock CEOs are crooks and release majestic PRs that are full of crap tho. But I may get into CBIS, it may be prudent if the stock dips and 1284 laws benefit CBIS somehow.

sorry didn't mean to jack this thread but i thought it was in the same ballpark

Hey folks, it also states you have to be a resident of colorado for a minimum of 2yrs to be in the industry. So I highly doubt any european co. has been living here for that long. I am not worried. Don't care what anyone says.
