Thanks for the reply, BG. I keep toying with the idea of blowing my room up and converting to DWC, or setting up a big bucket drip sys like Dominican. But for now I'm broke and overworked, so I'm just staying with good old reliable flood and drain in 4x4 trays. But I've been growing everything in 2 and 3-gal pots and can easily switch to filling the whole tray with Hydroton; just worried about root issues. Your girls in the tray may have had some problems, but all in all they look pretty sweet. Curious to read final numbers for the tray.

I met the UC "team" 2 years ago at the hydro show in SF; they really seemed to know their shite, so I wouldn't be surprised to see you hitting your magic number with your upgraded version.

I grew SR-71/Blue Sky PK last year, smallish buds but denser than anything else I've ever grown. I tried adding Phosphoload; they fattened up but they didn't purple up. If I ever grow a PK again I think I might try Bloombastic. From my experience, one thing is for certain: With PK, bigger (plants) is better.

Just had to visit the room due to emergency. The 2 big ones in the UC fell over. Man they are getting heavy. I cant believe that they just keep getting fatter.
Oh ya Hydrosun the UC is now turning yellow and we have the purple starting to attack the top colas. I didnt have any time for pics but Im gonna try to get over tomorrow and take some.
I see my goal of 2# per light getting closer with everyday of flush.

Well Im on day 67 bloom and there looking great. The tray has seen better days tho. The UC is purpling up real nice now. Im gonne start chopping some tonight. The tricks are telling me its time to get started. Im thinking of hitting it hard this weekend with the little trim pro and then hand trim after it goes thru that. I dont have much time theres a shit load of pot in there to chop up. I'll try to get some shots of the purpling ladies tonight.

DG my buddy has a trim pro Im just gonna barrow it for the job. I figure he owes it to me after I helped him trim up 2.5#s of finished dried bud.

Yep, the SpinPro works great with the 'blade' attachment. I trim all top buds/heady colas by hand, then attack the lower parts of the plant with the SpinPro. We normally have one person "de-stemming" while the other Spins...

What week did you use Pure Flowers? Did you use it by itself or in combination with GH Grow/Bloom? I use PF as well and really like it!

Also, I use FarmTek's heavy duty tomato cages for plant support. You have to buy 25 at a time, but they're really nice and should last forever!

I started using pure flowers at week 3 until about week 7 or something. I use it with no other booster or additives.

I have been flushing with tap water for 7 days. Let me tell ya these things have morphed in to some purple incredible hulks in 1 week.
I chopped the sick tray down and it doesnt look to be much, we'll see what happens when I weigh it up.
Im gonna start on the big ones tonight. I would like to chop all the top colas and leave the albino buds get a little light for a couple more days.
Enough talk check these pretty ladies out.



Now I see why its called purple kush. Im sure there even gonna get darker in the next couple days. I just have to start tonight because its gonna take a few days to get em done.
