awesome grow show man, dnt worry bout the 8#'s. like u said it coulda been worse.
how is the high on those strains like powerhouse and what not, narcotic?
one last thing is how do u feel about mixing coco with the hydroton to avoid root rot and other airborne diseases? take care man good luck!

hey guy's how's it going. man time keeps passing by so fast it's crazy. at least i have other harvest coming down in another couple of weeks. well hears a small update and i'll have to get some new pics for you guy's today sometime. well every thing seems to be going great. new room just got put back together and is up and running. my second room is in the middle of it's 3rd week of flower and starting really get some nice little nugs going. as i was saying last week some of thes girls stretched to much and now i'm trying to contend with half a room that is 5ft tall and the other half is now officially 7 1/2 ft tall. my 3rd room is really starting to bulk up and after getting back on track with my ph and adding cal mag and epsom salts. they responded well and are happy again. only 2 1/2 more weeks till we chop this room down. ny fourth room is doing awsome and should be my best room yet. were almost 2 weeks into flower and there just starting to show clusters of white hairs.
well to answer some of your questions. yes rednick we plan on venting all the hoods just waiting for next harvest to be able to afford to seal them up. when i first started out in biusness i had to take some pretty crazy hard money loans to get started so I'm still playing catch up and can't finnish this room of properly till i pay off the last of my loans next month. $40,000 payed off in 7 months, not to bad eh.
turbo asked about my power house and yes it's a very good strain to grow. it produces some huge ak type buds and is very narcotic. definatly one of my best producers. and will regularly give you some heavy plants. so far iv'e been really happy with al of my strains exept for the purple star and my sour diesel, they only produced about 3oz per plant and the star didn't taste all that great even though it wil get you really stoned. i haven't had any experiance with coco but am alway's willing to listen to some good ideas. please fill me in and teach me how this can help improve my grow's thanks.
and last but not least lazyman what's up. thanks in this last room i harvested i only had 7 lights and got 8 pounds. like you said not bad i was just hoping for better. i feel i am going to get closer to 10 or 11 on my next harvest in a couple of weeks. well that's it for now i'll try and get some new pics taken today and get them posted tonight. you guy's have a good one and happy growing.

rmc, just want to take a min and give cudos for a job well done. My partner and I are in the early stages of setting up something very close to what you have going. We are currently running a 12k hydo set up with good success. Was going to shoot you a PM with questions about your insurance for your grow and building but am unable to. I guess I will have to work on that. Thanks for keeping us updated as often as you do.

RMC, any idea as to what caused your less than expected yield? Too much light, too little light, overgrown, bad temps/ph, ect. I am curious what you noticed has a huge effect on yield.
I have noticed in my past grows I have actually stunted my plants with too much light, but if your not running sealed hoods, i dont really see this likely, as you cant get them all that close.

budbunker how's it going. i think the biggest problem we had with this crop was the root rot we got back during christmas. the pump in the controller failed and left the buckets filled with nutes for 24 hours wich rotted everything. also i do believe thes buckets are to small for these size plants and get root bound rather quik. i believe we relieved some of this by raising the inner buckts with pvc but the root rot really hurt us. the next room is doing really well so we should easily hit 10 lbs in 2 more weeks.

kelly your right. we cut some pvc into 3inch blocks and place into the outer bucket to raise the inner bucket this gives us 3 more inches of root growth.

I ran a similar setup in the past, I had great results using a 5 gallon lower bucket, and a 3.5 gallon upper bucket. Only downside was the extra amount of water needed to fill. The 5 gallon/5 gallon did great as well, and averaged about 10 oz each(12 under 4k, 30day veg) with one plant reaching over 15 oz.
I also used red lava rock, which i think i like better then the hydroton im using now.

Using 3 1/2 gal buckets, only downside is it takes 1 bag Hydroton per 4 sites and 60 gal min res fill for 24 sites.

If you want to rape your buds, go for it. But it is a shame to spend that much effort, only to hurry the most important process, the trim and cure.
Edit: Yes it is hand trimmed, according to RM.
